  1. Keep thinking OSU will comfortably win until I remember they’re starting Will Howard. Will be interesting to see if Oregon can slow down the run early in the game and if OSU struggles to adjust to playing athletes that can punch back for the first time this season.
  2. Ari Wasserman is a bloviating moron, who is also completely devoid of personality, and probably my least favorite national CFB voice. He read Bud Elliott's blue chip ratio and somehow managed to build an entire brand around the novel concept that the teams with all the best players usually win and then acts vindicated every year when Toledo doesn't win the national championship.
  3. Are we pursuing any of the top 2025 WRs other than the two Oregon commits? I haven't heard anything, but seems like Brown III's commitment to Florida could be vulnerable and would be a complementary body type/play style to our current commitments. Barring those guys, it seems like taking McCutcheon, who is a nice player in his own right and fits a need in the class, is the path of least resistance. They appear to love Kelshaun Johnson, but I imagine that is a situation where A&M would go jihad to make sure we don't take their only WR commit.
  4. The Aggy rollercoaster is undefeated. Early season setback was early enough that they're all penciling in 9 wins minimum with the October "Furk!" right around the corner.
  5. 10 pages of how bad we would lose an imaginary matchup against 2022 Georgia, followed by a discussion of our incredible luck to play both the worst Michigan AND Georgia teams in decades, finished off with an imagining of how the result would have been different if everything that happened did not actually happen until they convince themselves that we essentially did lose.
  6. Pretty simple. George Soros pays Disney, who pays ESPN, who pays the SEC, who pays the Marxist refs all to show that sissy liberals can win at football. Explains a lot about Cal's dominance the past decade really.
  7. Hard to feel very concerned about this. Still Quinn’s job and he’s fucking awesome, but if Arch takes over the starting job that means he’s even more fucking awesome, which is great. I’m not sure I’d trade either of them for any other quarterback in college football.
  8. It is so hilarious when these morons are like "Wait how can Wiggy be hurt when Liucci was just talking about how he was going for 550 yards and 7 TDs on the Loochador yesterday??" They are the biggest group of fucking marks on the planet, I'm surprised any of them have any money left to pay TexAgs since they're all probably financially supporting a dozen Nigerian princes.
  9. Yeah, I was thinking Turner was the only player who would start for us, with Scourton the only other with a shot. The other players I listed are guys I think could get any meaningful snaps this year. Point being, they are so far from being a top ten most talented team that it's laughable.
  10. How many guys do they have who would contribute at all on our team this year? The Shemars, Scourton, Anderson, probably Regis and *maybe* York, all at varying snap counts. On offense, maybe Moss, more so because of our injuries than his talent? They might have a dozen players who are at least decent P4 starters on the whole roster, and that's being generous. In any case, I'm glad that they think they are the 7th most talented team in the country because it will make this season that much more painful.
  11. "see OU and Texas in the early 2000's." You don't say that two blue bloods can be good at the same time. The problem here is the same does not apply to the Aggies, who have been mediocre when we're successful and mediocre when we're bad.
  12. Poll inertia is funny and I don't think most of the voters watch nearly as much football as the rest of us do. Why on earth should OU be ahead of Nebraska? What evidence is there that Louisville is worse than Notre Dame? I get that voters don't want to drop a program like Alabama barring a loss, but Tennessee looks miles ahead of them. Wish the polls were a little more dynamic.
  13. This is a really cool commitment quote to look back on - he's certainly followed through on this during his tenure. Fun to watch a guy like him getting and taking this opportunity. What an excellent eval by the staff, Tashard Choice continues to bat 1.000.
  14. Took a brief break from emptying kegs in Ann Arbor only to find out that Kenny Baker can in fact recruit. We are embarking on a decade long dynasty, at minimum.
  15. If the fanbase could handle a few rebuilding seasons, I actually think Elko could build them back to a decent program. Thankfully, Billy and co. promise a “natty” every year and eliminate the possibility of any grace period. We are about to put them in the dirt for a decade and it’s so fucking awesome.
  16. Guessing they don’t teach them to spend 30 seconds criticizing a successful trick play in commentating school. That was insane.
  17. I've been monitoring Michigan Insider and do think they're pretty levelheaded as far as 9.95ers go. A few things they've highlighted that jump out to me: 1. Donovan Edwards playing at an elite level is a must for this offense; however, Edwards was quietly pretty bad last year. Really poor in explosive plays and yards after contact. 2. As noted above, there does not appear to be any plan B to just running the ball and relying on the defense. They're not confident that any QB on the roster can complete 60% of their passes and the presumptive starter is in a QB battle with a senior walk on who went 0-5 with an INT in limited appearances last year. There's not a WR they can count on as a deep threat to supplement the run game and they've been touting the after catch ability of a bunch of mediocre nobodies - reading between the lines it sounds pretty dire. 3. Even adjusting for 9.95er hype, the defense is going to be elite and physical. They took two G5 guys to beef up the second CB spot across from Will Johnson and neither one is elite or even necessarily good. If Will Johnson goes down they're in trouble (obviously this is the case for most star players across the country). With that said, I'm less sure of victory than I was at Bama last year. The logical side of me cannot really see them keeping pace with us if there's a relatively normal game script, but I do sort of buy the possibility that they suffocate us on offense, force a few turnovers and sneak out a 17-14 win.
  18. There's basically 5 wins built in the schedule. I'm very high on the OU defense, but Tennessee, @Auburn, neutral Texas, @Ole Miss, @Mizzou, Bama, @LSU, is absolutely brutal. I think they probably scrape 3 of those games and hit the over, with the a large caveat that the offense can't be dreadful. I've been hearing a lot of "Bedenbaugh will figure it out" from OU friends and I'm not so sure that will be the case.
  19. The Ags have been doing a lot of complaining about getting more information from Daddy89 than Looch and co. lately, but fortunately Brauny is still there giving them insider info you can't get anywhere else.
  20. I legitimately think they are just mentally passing around TJ Shanahan's 5th star from rivals. Also deeply enjoy them repackaging "multiple years of horrible game tape" to the more palatable "Experienced."
  21. I don't believe anything until kxan reports it. Can't really trust the live feed of the recruit committing.
  22. I like how he points to the secondary as their only potential weakness, but then describes it as a deep unit. How do these wools fall for it every year? Last year, they had absolute swiss cheese on the OL and he was harping on about how our OL was overrated and using that to prop up their unit. He is incapable of any semblance of objectivity.
  23. I can't remember the last time a freshman was being hyped up by Bobby/Gerry the way Wingo is - I guess Kelvin Banks was pretty similar. I'm curious if Cook/Moore get the courtesy start against CSU because it sounds like a combination of Bond, Bolden, Wingo, along with Niblack, would be extremely difficult to defend.
  24. Traveling over 7,000 miles per win is really demoralizing.
