  1. Not Sharknado bad (haven’t seen it), but not that great of a movie. First one was awesome; this reeked of a money grab with He Got Game level of acting and development by Denzel.
  2. Well we are in complete agreement. Why are we arguing.
  3. The defiant stupidity of that guy. I’d send him the next iteration of a pager or walkie talkie.
  4. “We should stop recruiting kids from Westlake or Southlake” - Derka
  5. Disagree. You totally ignore a guy like that. You don’t even acknowledge him publicly. Let whomever should’ve been in the place of Garland and Smith do their jobs and never acknowledge Trump or those two publicly. Biden and Harris engaged him FAR too often. He thrives off drama and theater. Don’t give it to him, ever.
  6. Interesting you know how I’d define it. I’d say 90% of the electorate is uninformed particularly to something as nuanced as that inflation metric. How do you define uninformed?
  7. I don’t disagree with your post. The bolded part - that’s exactly what that graphic does.
  8. I don’t point fingers, and I don’t compare presidencies, particularly one that includes fucking Trump. I mean if you want to point fingers, be my guest. Though I wouldn’t use inflation as some sort of relative strength for Biden because that would be monumentally stupid.
  9. I understand it well. I don’t think the average American does. Deflation is more dangerous than inflation. I shouldn’t have made that point because it detracts from the conversation. Sorry.
  10. Not at all. But it provides no context and makes it appear like a Biden strength. It tells you nothing.
  11. It conceals it from voters that don’t know any better. Like 2.9% currently makes all the inflationary action of ‘22-‘23 nonexistent. It’s not like prices have come down from the peak. They’re now just accelerating at a slower rate - growing from a high point because of the last several years. Inflation is not a metric you can point to at a point in time and say because it’s low on last day in office, Biden succeeded there over his 4 years. He assuredly did not.
  12. I know why rampant inflation occurred. That is an entirely different argument, and one I’ll have with you. Here’s something we can likely agree on: it largely wasnt his fault. however, that graphic showing some current inflation metric is overly simplistic and frankly intentionally hides the massive inflation on his watch. It doesn’t tell the story you want it to.
  13. He never should have considered running. He totally fucked the entire Democratic Party, and those running the party let it happen. Kamala would never have been the candidate with a primary. You cannot possibly consider his handling of this anything other than totally ruining his legacy. And you partisanly distill it down to “not his fault”. Come the fuck on.
  14. That’s a dumbass graphic. That inflation is only at 2.9% totally ignores what occurred with inflation the entirety of Biden’s term, and his utter inability to communicate what he (the Fed) did to combat it and plans for his second term to continue to combat it. Stock market and job market are strong. I strongly suspect inflation will be kept in check except for gas prices, which will be an ongoing Trump battle. I also expect unemployment to go up. So what? Trump is a buffoon. And, so was Biden. The constant comparison to Trump is tiring. I like neither of them.
  15. It appears like it’s hyperbole but I believe we’re entering into significant supply constraints coming up. Prices should increase considerably in the short, mid and long term. Of course warmer weather could and probably will have downward pressure on nat gas. He’s likely been advised of this and kicked off his rhetoric. Unfortunately I don’t think he can do much. But he’ll try, and will definitely make it a focal point. The record high output is a little misleading, but the bigger issue is there is no way to sustain it for much longer.
  16. Got to be doing a bit. Yes. Yes you are.
  17. The majority of people and presidential historians. He’s not even thought of highly here except by people trying to defiantly puff their chests out, ignoring all fair criticisms. That is very telling.
  18. Nah. I never voted for Trump and don’t like him. But Biden will never be fondly remembered.
  19. I see Incred and Rex have logged into their socks. But you don't need me telling you what's up. Trump will save you soon!! Huh? I don’t have a sock. Biden was not a damned good president. And, Trump won’t save anything. Both can be true.
  20. Oh, if the church thinks its control of Wiki makes Mormonism sound MORE normal, I don’t care to read about what Jose really had to say.
  21. Mary didn’t proclaim this stuff about herself. It was written about her. Joe Smith claimed this shit happened to him, just 200 years ago. That is a massive difference. The Book of Mormon is laughable. From Wiki; the only thing missing from Smith’s gospel is ancient wormholes to transport Jews to the New World 2600 years ago: According to Joseph Smith, in 1823, when he was seventeen years old, an angel of God named Moroniappeared to him and said that a collection of ancient writings was buried in a nearby hill in present-day Wayne County, New York, engraved on golden plates by ancient prophets.[17][18] The writings were said to describe a people whom God had led from Jerusalem to the Western hemisphere 600 years before Jesus's birth.[14] Smith said this vision occurred on the evening of September 21, 1823, and that on the following day, via divine guidance, he located the burial location of the plates on this hill and was instructed by Moroni to meet him at the same hill on September 22 of the following year to receive further instructions, which repeated annually for the next three years.[19][20]Smith told his entire immediate family about this angelic encounter by the next night, and his brother William reported that the family "believed all he [Joseph Smith] said" about the angel and plates.
  22. Should’ve been formed 125 years before they were and they could have. It is really hard for me to determine which group has the nuttier origin story and early practices. People will emphatically say Scientology and I probably would agree. But a lot of that is based on the fact that mainstream Mormons (not FLDS) over the last 50 years or so have become a largely high-functioning and successful part of society and are genuinely good people. Their early history and the nuttiness of Joe Smith and Brigham Young is totally whitewashed. But LRH is still probably crazier.
