I think if you make an offer that big, as Schloss you dont even bother asking them to match it. You would be the highest paid coach in history by a huge margin. Asking aggy to pay you more would be a slap in the face to Texas at that point. You either want the job or you dont.

Schloss wouldn’t do that. But A&M could do so, and think they would.

Herman had 4 top 25 finishes in 6 years at UH and Texas. A top 10 finish at both UH and Texas.

Man some of you drastically undervalue how many bad coaches are out there. Bad is Charlie Strong.

Herman was the modern day Mackovic. A level of success that wasn’t great, and a level of arrogance that was.

Charlie Strong was the worst coach in this program’s history, and Herman getting lumped in with him is odd to say the least.

Olin Buchanan is a nice dude. Or was back in the 90s. He interviewed me multiple times in the Westlake Picayune. I had no idea he’d gone Aggy. Maybe he always was.

His response was the way it was so that he could leverage more money from aggy

if he flat out denies hes coming here, he loses all leverage

Dude he’ll be the highest paid coach regardless of his response. Alberts isn’t gonna sit back and say “yeah, he’s with us!  Don’t have to be proactive - his contract is fine.”  Schloss is winning big regardless of what happens.

Daemon was pretty vague on purpose to those goons regarding a back up plan.  Big goon told rat catcher "you remember what he said...son for a son". Which implies is was said offscreen by Daemon.  By being vague he knew what the consequences could have been as in they may go off script....but it lets him deny responsibility.  He probably never thought that a small child would end up being an option though.

Yeah any way you slice it, he’s at fault. I’m just saying, I don’t think he thought that was a possibility, and don’t think he’s dumb enough to personally have done that.

It was strongly implied that Daemon gave them instructions to get a son-for-a-son no matter what.

By Daemon?  I don’t recall that. He specifically mentioned Aemond. He may have used son for a son language, but that doesn’t mean go off script if you can’t find who I mentioned and kill a toddler. He himself is way too smart for that.

Regardless, again, it’s on him. His incompetence led him to choose two incompetents.

So I've only seen the first episode, but weren't they supposed to behead the eyepatch dude and not some baby?

Yes. They were given no other instruction if he couldn’t be found. Daemon probably wouldn’t have been in favor of that, but he put forth 2 buffoons, so it’s on him.

I’m ambivalent about Otto the character, but the actor playing him is fantastic.

As expected, the dialogue in this show is excellent. My only complaint (beyond the few I discussed above) is pacing. There’s a lot of talking and stage setting without much in the way of plot advancement. I don’t mean action sequences or dragon bullshit, I mean moving the story forward. I guess it’s a consequence of GOT being one [censored] per season, while this is one [censored] for the whole show.

image.gif.8a84717539fcba463d72af358e5d2520.gifHe also banged Sienna Miller. So, a good career. But yes he is fantastic as Hightower. I don’t like the character but couldn’t stand Tywin either. Both are fantastic actors.

Republicans are the epitome of “fuck you pay me”, but they are fantastic actors, given how many pull off the facade of being a Christian.

When Trump loses, it’ll be interesting to see how long it takes before more Republicans turn on him.  They hate losing more than they had libtards.

I’m mystified he has a stranglehold on the party. Thankfully I’ve seen data points of late that suggest he actually might not win. If he loses, I’d like to think he goes away forever. After the attempted civil war later this year, of course.

Some, hell no I don’t fault. Look at HV3 and his charity he runs. I bet that money helped a lot more people. Something like that transcends golf itself, even if golf is the path taken to achieve it.

But not all of them. Some I would welcome back, some can fuck right off, and the tour is better without them. For example, Fatrick Reed.

I hate Patrick Reed, and LIV has nothing to do with it.

Yeah. He’s like Mickelson. In his acceptance speech, he said he went to SMU because of Payne Stewart. I saw something earlier today that said he didn’t even know Stewart went there until he saw his picture hanging in the athletic hall.

The above two videos make me question my statement. I know Phil has always had a FIGJAM reputation, but he changed for the better when he just started embracing it. With Bryson he seems to have learned how to turn off the switch of taking himself too seriously when his dad died.

The whole LIV deal - I no longer hold any of these guys in poor regard for doing what they did.

  12. I’m not convinced BDC’s act of being Arnie reincarnated isn’t just that - an act. He does appear to have turned his perspective around.

I don’t get this board’s love for Rory and I never have. He insists upon himself. Yeah he was a fierce supporter of the PGA and a great golfer. But he’s not what he once was 10 years ago and he’s a tremendous blowhard. His spat with Cantlay’s caddie that lasted through the night was ridiculous. He’s an ass and the PGA Policy Board didn’t want him back. Declining comment for a guy that runs his mouth constantly was ironic. If there are two guys that’ll make me root for BDC, it’s Rory and Brooks.

IEA predicting Peak Oil… again. They’ve been saying the same thing since the 90s and here we are. It’s almost as if they have an agenda or something. I guess all those Indians entering the middle class are going to drive cars powered by rainbows and unicorn tears.

IEA is the worst. Everything about that is wrong.
