  1. Different position group, but it sucks for Louisville that they lost Dwayne Ledford to the Falcons. They have a few high ceiling prospects on the OL that for sure would reach their potential under him.
  2. Jaren Kanak out of Kansas is blowing up rn. He's 6'2" 210 and recently ran a laser-timed 10.37. Clemson hasn't offered but he'll probably commit to them soon after they do. K State was the first to offer him in July 2020. https://247sports.com/Player/Jaren-Kanak-46102946/
  3. I agree with @golfclap in thinking Miller>Blue. I'd guess the majority of HS coaches who have seen both would agree.
  4. That's fair, but I think Mond was drafted two rounds too early because the NFL blows Jimbo even though every QB he's produced has underwhelmed in the NFL. To get back on the thread topic, there isn't much definite talent among the upperclassmen. Idk how many players get drafted in '22, but you can probably only pencil in Overshown and Jamison rn, but (believe it or not) scouts currently think Cade Brewer is a late round talent. Coburn will be drafted if he keeps improving.
  5. I won't say they deserve it, but their '18 and '19 schedules meant they were due for forgiving ones afterward. '22 might be tougher if Diaz can actually turn Miami into something good (which I kind of doubt but Garcia will be a good QB). Auburn seems to be floundering, and I don't trust Harsin to match Malzahn's level (which isn't even high). Leach is going to let Mississippi St's d line tank imo so I think Jimbo beats them every year. I guess if LSU rebounds and avoids any tangible scandal or hires Napier then they have a shot of being formidable again. I actually think Pittman will elevate Arkansas further but Briles needs to find a better QB than their current awful duo for them to ever threaten A&M. I like some of what Kiffin is doing but I still don't trust him to build a program, and their receiver recruiting has been quietly underwhelming recently. Jimbo has carte blanche and their boosters have deep pockets to hire the right guys (Malchow from UGA and the recent analyst from UGA were telling). I don't think they'll ever beat Alabama or really even come close unless Jimbo fires Dameyune Craig and hires a competent replacement though.
  6. All A&M really needs from King is to match Mond's level from last year. Jimbo's schemes in the run game plus the Spiller/Achane duo are hell for teams lacking physicality/talent in their defensive fronts. Wydermyer is a great safety blanket that shouldn't be overlooked as well.
  7. Idk what to tell you if you think A&M isn't a good team. I almost said a floor of 10-2 but I could see a team like Ole Miss catching fire and making Jimbo compete in a track meet along with LSU eking one out at home. The Henson hire and their recruiting wins along the DL are really going to pay off for them.
  8. OU and A&M have lots of talent for sure. OU's only real question marks are if the OL will be good or great and if the secondary will be good. A&M's are if the rest of their OL outside of Green overcomes its inexperience, if King can match Mond's performance last year, if they can get another contributor in the WR corps (Demas, Muhammad, Chapman) outside of Ainias and Chase Lane, and if their secondary becomes a plus unit. OU will be 11-1 at worst while A&M will be 9-3 at worst.
  9. His parents really want him to stay close to home and he likes Rutgers and Aurich (OL coach). I think Schiano will get 8-9 four stars this class, mostly thanks to Fran Brown
  10. Just from reading 11 Warriors (a much better source than awful Bucknuts 247) it seems like Ohio St now wants four receivers this year. They'll add Kaleb Brown but it's a bit up in the air after him. They're out of it for Kojo Antwi and seemingly don't really want CJ Williams. I fully expect them to take Landon Samson to keep Ewers satisfied as mentioned a few pages back. It's funny that they're already hyping him up to be Hunter Renfrow just because he's white.
  11. I know nobody wants to hear it, but Johntay Cook loves Ohio St and looks up to Garrett Wilson, but they've never actually spoken. His dad really likes (and seems to favor)Texas at this point though. He grew up liking OU because of their electric offense. I don't think he's close to favoring any school at this point so there's no reason to feel good or bad rn.
  12. Yeah they have two really good TEs (Latu and Billingsley), a really good receiver in Metchie, a few promising young receivers (Agiye Hall, Earle, and Christian Leary), and two good RBs (Robinson and McClellan) plus a rehabbing Trey Sanders and Camar Wheaton. They'll have another great offense; it should be top 5 in total stats and efficiency metrics.
  13. I'm trusting a friend who saw him play live multiple times up there. I believe he was targeted 48 times in his junior year and only allowed one completion. I think he's a third round pick at the latest and I'm disappointed that Rutgers had no shot with him more than anything.
  14. Tyreek Chappell is going to be really damn good for A&M. I think he's a future 1st round/early day 2 pick.
  15. I don't think people like satya realize how bad Arkansas is at QB rn. Reading between the lines, they miss Feleipe Franks of all guys because both KJ Jefferson and Hornsby are abhorrent passers. Both can surely run, but baby Briles is visibly frustrated with what he has to work with.
  16. High 3* TE Eli Raridon committed to ND over Iowa today. Let's just assume he'll be a second round pick in 2025.
  17. 4* QB Gavin Wimsatt commits to Rutgers. Greg Schiano is a damn stud. Now we just need to load up on high ceiling OL and this team could strike some real fear in UM and PSU. https://247sports.com/player/gavin-wimsatt-46096758/
  18. It won't happen, but Steve Pikiell at my favorite school (Rutgers) is a really good coach. We're all hoping that he doesn't end up at UConn if Hurley isn't their long-term guy.
  19. I have no idea why Man Dullen hired Garrick McGee to replace Brian Johnson. Retaining Grantham was also a strange choice, but at least their fans get to look forward to either Emory Jones or Anthony Richardson having to pass the ball.
  20. Wiltfong put in a pick for Drew Allar to PSU. It'd suck for Rutgers if Franklin actually has a good QB up there, but thankfully their OL/DL recruiting has faded. Losing Sean Spencer last offseason really damaged their DL recruiting/development.
  21. He's originally from South Jersey, so Robinson gives them a better chance. Recruits in Greater Philly/South Jersey absolutely love him.
  22. I doubt it's Keon Sabb, but they're after him hard. Realistic Rutgers fans have already given up hope there, and it's notable that Elijah Robinson is leading that recruitment.
  23. @texifornia The talent level needs to be upgraded immensely, but it helps that Schiano’s staff is better than that of MSU and Maryland. If Franklin keeps mismanaging QBs in Happy Valley, Schiano will take advantage and keep them out of NJ.
  24. I’ve said it on here before, but I’ll say again that I’m a Rutgers fan. I don’t expect Rutgers to get Maalik, but the blurb about him loving Schiano’s staff isn’t surprising. Rutgers won’t get great prospects like Maalik/Keon Sabb/Jacob Allen until they have an experienced roster that goes about 8-4, but Schiano is building along the LOS quickly. He also has built the special teams up quickly to hang with teams with much more talent.
  25. Sinner-Shapovalov should be a good match
