Texas Recruiting Notes 2020
Huh, well that's good to hear. Also, while the Katy/Cypress/Klein schools are pretty aggy, I don't remember there being all that much pressure to go there. It's truly astonishing at how many go to College Station from the area though. I think about 100 out of 700 went to aggy/blinn from the CFISD school I attended back in the day. That being said, there really haven't been many recruits from Cypress who panned out at any school. Some of the recent ones have been O'Neal, Blanton, Alaka, Deculus, Christian Jones, Deoundrei Davis, and Keith Ford. Hopefully Jones breaks the trend becomes a solid player. Anyway, tangent ended.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2020
The area from Katy up to Cypress over to Klein is pretty aggy. Clear Creek is down in League City, which is more balanced. I say it's fine that aggy has those areas because they're very bland.

I think we're in a good spot for all of those except George.

I just don't see Book being healthy in that game. He's too skinny (and not sufficiently elusive) to be scrambling as much as he does.

NCAA week 8
Something from Steve Coughlin's (Stanford Steve from espn/SVP) and Chris Fallica's podcast stood out to me. Since 1994, teams that were undefeated with at least 5 wins who were more than 14 (I think, it might be 17) point dogs (on the road of course) failed to cover in the eight times this has happened. With that being said, I have: Clemson -17.5 Oklahoma -7.5 Alabama -29 Miss. St +6.5 Purdue +12

2018 College Football Playoff Rankings
I'd bet a lot of money that Notre Dame loses at least one game during the regular season. Their o-line is showing cracks, and Ian Book is getting hit a ton. I predict they lose to USC on the road as Helton has (somehow) not yet lost a home game.

If Bama's only loss is to LSU, and LSU goes on to win the CCG, both teams would likely get in.

10/14 AP Top 25 Poll... Texas is #7
Oregon State. The Beavers run the ball very well, but they don't do anything else well. That'd be a massive upset as they are a 1-11/2-10 type of team.

#1 in the Big 12
Not that I think we win out, but I think only two teams or less will be undefeated by the end of the year. The ACC is weak, but Clemson has found ways to lose to far inferior teams in the past two years. I think Ohio St could go undefeated, but Michigan keeps looking better and better. Ohio St has been beating up on some bad to mediocre defenses all year, and it'll be interesting to see what they can do against a for sure top 5 unit in the Michigan defense. Bama should go undefeated, but Tiger Stadium at night is no joke, especially against a really good LSU team. Notre Dame will find a way to lose this year; they're already showing cracks in their o-line.

Pitt @ Notre Dame
Pitt up 7-0 late in the first quarter.

CFB Playoff Chances
I really don't think they'll make it; I was just throwing shit at the wall there. I guess Oregon would be a more realistic dark horse.

CFB Playoff Chances
Right now, it seems inevitable that it'll four of Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Notre Dame, and Georgia. However, I just have a feeling only two-three of those are going to get in. We've seen it happen year after year where teams in really good spots just slip up or choke down the stretch. If I had to choose three of those teams to slip up, I'd choose Notre Dame, Georgia, and Clemson. Notre Dame really shouldn't lose any of their remaining games, but Brian Kelly has found ways to lose games when his team has looked great in the past. Georgia has a difficult schedule coming up, and I think they're a noticeably worse team than Bama at this point. Clemson looks good, and like ND, they shouldn't lose another game on their schedule. They've lost to much less talented teams in the past two years, and I think a bad loss could sink them this year (2016 Pitt, 2017 Cuse). I also don't feel great about Ohio State, and I think they could easily slip up too. If I'm making a bold prediction right now, I'd pick Alabama, Ohio State, Notre Dame, and NC State. I really just don't want it to be Bama, Ohio St, Georgia, and Clemson because that would be boring.

The latter three are all on the road too. They won't be able to hold their way to a win or moral victories in those.

Kentucky will do unspeakable things to aggy
Any team that can actually throw the ball/execute designed QB runs and play decent defense will beat aggy. I think SCar can do that, as well as Miss St. Not sure about Auburn. Miss St doesn't have much of a passing game but they execute QB runs very well. People seem to forget that while aggy has a good run d, they struggle with scrambling QBs/designed runs. I think they come out of their road trip at 5-4, and then beat Ole Miss. Ole Miss can light their secondary up, but their defense is soft. UAB is a win. They'll lose to LSU. I'm thinking they go 6-6 or 7-5, with 7-5 much more likely.

Kentucky is going to be one of the worst 10-2 teams ever. Remaining schedule: Vandy, @Mizzou, vs UGA, @Tenn, vs MTSU, @Louisville

Syracuse @ Clemson
Huh, didn't know that. That'd be weird after a loss.
-
Syracuse @ Clemson
Every win. To be fair, they rarely lose at home, so it might as well be every home game.
-
Syracuse @ Clemson
It's weird, but they rush the field after every game.
