  1. People complaining about taunting and targeting. Jesus christ, this is not Oklahoma state. We are just fucking garbage
  2. Who gives a fuck about taunting? We shouldn't be letting some 18 year-old waltz into the end zone. If they have the opportunity to taunt, someone fucked up big. Jesus, our defense sucks dick
  3. From Fort Worth, along the Chisholm Trail where countless longhorns passed, likely mudholing turtles along the way... TEXAS!!!
  4. I get jealous of this thread every year. Except for 2 years ago when I flew out to SF for the Cal game. Pretty awesome weekend until the game started. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  5. This will be my first midterms to participate in, and Beto is now my first candidate to donate money to, which I would have never imagined doing for anyone a couple of years ago. If I see Cruz's face ever again, it will be too soon. Unless it's in the photo of him phone-banking for trump. Or of his own family clearly hating him. Or realizing he lost his Texas Senate seat when he probably thought he was going to be president 3 years ago. What a cuck. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  6. Texas- 33 Maryland- 16 Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  7. Anybody been to Dos Molinas in FW? I live on the north side of town and haven't tried any Tex Mex in the couple of months I've been here. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  8. Schlotszky's. I actually like their food, but I'm usually the only one in the store or drive-thru any time I go. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  9. Any recs on where to watch the world cup final Saturday, since it starts at 10 AM? ATT has a shortage of wiring for cable apparently, so no TV for me until August. If that extends into football season, we are going to have problems... Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  10. I am a very experienced swimmer with some scuba experience. I scuba'd off of Vancouver island in a kelp forest with sea lions and my primary regulator failed. I was unsuccessful in reaching my dive buddy and shot to the surface rather than calmly reaching for my secondary. I like to think I responded so poorly due to knowing I was less than 30 ft from the surface. Clearly I'm not a great scuba diver, but neither are these kids. Imagining being 12 years old and cave diving to escape entrapment as my first time is absolutely terrifying. There's obviously not a great answer to this situation, and swimming out may save a good number, but if that's the route they go I can see it not going great. As far as getting upset at them for getting stuck in the first place, I still have plenty of sympathy for a 12 or 13-year old doing something idiotic. It is incredibly unfortunate that a rescuer died trying to help but these aren't a pack of 20-something tourist bros who fucked themselves Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  11. Saw this guy on South Rim trail 2 years ago. Big Bend is fucking awesome. Next time I need a 4-wheel drive so I can do a roadside or backcountry campsite and not have to listen to people's generators all night. The Chisos Basin is still a very cool place to camp. 12. Then just walk outside your front door and enjoy concrete as far as the eye can see. Or look out a plane window and realize how few unbroken pieces of wilderness remain. Or try to go for a hike and be unable to escape trash, regardless of how far from civilization you are. The fact that people can be unconcerned about the effect 7 billion of us can have on the place we live is so odd to me. Even if you don't personally give a shit about nature or the environment, I would think you would want to leave something worthwhile for those who are going to be here after us. Things have already changed significantly during my lifetime, I can't imagine what it will be like a couple generations from now. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  13. We are all contributing to this by eating fast food. Palm oil is a bitch. Sure, Earth will recover after we are gone. It would be nice if it didn't have to rebuild from scratch and we could enjoy it while we're still around. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  14. Heading to the in-laws this weekend with my wife to figure out how to help her mother, who is 68 and has had dementia for over a decade. She has been in absolute free fall the last 3 or 4 months and almost certainly needs 24-hour care at this point. Thank God my wife is adopted. I could not have imagined how devastating this disease is until seeing its impact first-hand. Just a horrible situation and there seems to be so little you can do to make anything better. 15. Imagine Nation Brewing has a nice outdoor patio and good beers. Glacier is worth the drive, even if you just did a single night near the park. I did a rafting trip out of Missoula as well that was just 2 or 3 hours but a good time. NW Montana is among the most beautiful places I've ever been so definitely go outside Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  16. I arrived on the island with the floods so we didn't really get to experience the north side like we wanted to. That said, an amazing trip can still be had out of Poipu. If I get the chance to go again I will definitely be doing the Kalalau Trail. I would love to do the full 11-mile hike and camp out there. The beach looked amazing from the helicopter, I cant imagine how great it is after hiking all day. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  17. I dont know what it is but anytime I walk into an airbnb, nature immediately calls. I'm not picky about locations, fortunately. The other guests dont always appreciate it but I instantly feel at home. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  18. 20 straight missed 3's by Harden. Certainly he will make one by accident soon, right? RIGHT?!? Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  19. I am for Bada Bing/Daily Texan serving as the Bernard forum. I always forgot about that one (unless I wanted to feel miserable, and that is what the cloak room is for) and it's important that we don't ignore this shit. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  20. Pruitt and Zinke are both giant pieces of shit, and Pruitt doesn't even attempt to mask his absolute contempt for the very thing he is supposed to be protecting. All these people who care for nothing but lining their pockets are really taking us backwards. Hopefully there is still shit worth saving in 2 1/2 years. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  21. We may only be there for a couple years so at this point we are just looking to rent. Will I be saving myself significant commute time to Denton by living in the Oakhurst area vs getting a place downtown or close to the university? It does look like I would at least be bypassing a few big highway intersections but I have no idea what downtown FW traffic looks like. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  22. Internet tough guy in the house! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  23. I bird watch all the time. I'm 30 years old and have been doing so frequently for the last 2 years. Somehow I have a wife. She likes to let people know about this hobby of mine almost immediately after introducing me. It started with hiking and I quickly realized there is not a ton of great scenery or wildlife outside of birds in the Houston area. Plus, I like making lists so seeing my life count increase is incredibly satisfying. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  24. So I may be taking a job in Denton in the next month or so. My wife is going to be going to grad school at TCU. Based on my drive from FW for the interview there is not much in between. Any recs for an area to live more on the north side of town? Or should I just suck it up and commute from closer to downtown/university area? Not sure what rush hour traffic is like heading north, but at least I won't have to deal with Houston 290 anymore. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
