  1. Man, the masks make it really hard to identify people. Obviously I recognize TJ. Is that Boddicker in the white sweatshirt 2 down from Beard? Is Reggie Freeman next to him? Ogden on the end. No one else jumps out at me.
  2. Grant McCasland. I went to Junior High and a year of high school with him. We were pretty good friends back in the day. He lived around the corner from me, and we carpooled to baseball, basketball, and football together. He coached JD Lewis in JuCo, and when JD committed to Texas, I saw who his head coach was and dropped Grant a note. Super nice guy, smart, high energy. I wish he'd get an interview here--I think he'd kill it at Texas. But I can't imagine we hire another coach without P5 experience in either football or basketball for the foreseeable future. And my guess is he gets the job at Baylor whenever Drew decides to leave. He's a Baylor alum, and his dad was a Baptist preacher. If Beard comes to Texas, Grant would do good things at Tech, until he moved to Baylor.
  3. I see someone's wife watches Struggle Meals on Tastemade channel. Whenever that dude opens his leftover condiments drawer (aka I steal as many condiments as possible from fast food restaurants drawer), I think to myself, "who the fuck would want to use that shit at home." I now have my answer.
  4. You just blew my mind. I have no idea how I never made that connection.
  5. I know this is a joke, but this thread really got me thinking, and the best I could come up with was regional foods where you're not located in the region where they are famous. Brisket is a great answer from someone in California. I'm sure all the brisket in CA is fucking awful, so it all tastes the same. To somebody in Texas that doesn't know any better, all clam chowder tastes the same. But no matter what food someone picks, there will be a dissenting opinion from someone who lives somewhere where there is a vast difference in quality of that food/dish.
  6. Fries? You think fries fits into the concept of this thread. Sounds like someone needs a knifing.
  7. OVH is huge. They are the largest EMEA-based cloud hoster. They are in IDC's top 20 list of server consumers. In the grand scale of their business, though, I think this is fairly small. I think they have like 30+ data centers. But I assume some big French customers were serviced from that data center, being as it's in France. Likely government. Not good. To someone's point above, doesn't sound like disaster recovery went all that swimmingly. Here's a look into the board room as they learned about the fire.
  8. That video of the Ok State game made me sad. I just watched the 2nd half. That was a different level of athlete we had back then. And I forgot how amped the crowd was even after going down big. It's like they knew we weren't going to lose the game. And the team agreed. I'd call that 2nd half a smooth butt-fucking, but there wasn't anything smooth about it. That was a Grade A, belligerent, plunger-rape. I especially like when we're up 49-35, and Terrell Brown takes an INT to the house, but then it gets call back 40+ yards for an illegal block. We have it at the 42, and you just know that every OSU fan has a slight glimmer of hope that perhaps that was the break they needed to claw back. If thye can just make a play on defense, they may be able to score. Next play Vince breaks a tackle at the LOS and takes it to the house. Fuck you Cowboys.
  9. Where did you find meat from that breed? And tell me more about that sauce.
  10. I hate passing judgement on these threads, because I enthusiastically support people cooking at home vs going for disgusting fast food, but that looks like you cut the meat with the grain. If you cut against the grain, it'll be about 100x easier to eat. Meat looks perfectly cooked, though.
  11. The sideline view doesn't have to go away. It's great for 3rd and short, 4th and short, or any goal line plays. But I agree that the view in the OP should be the standard and not the exception.
  12. I used the black insulated sleeve like there have been a few picture of. Then wrapped in towel and duct tape. Then plastic kitchen bag secured with duct tape. No issues. I just discovered one issue this morning. Leak in a pipe in the attic. Was a pipe that was leftover from when I converted my 2 x hot water heaters to one tankless a few years ago. The hose was capped with a metal pipe with a valve. Leak is at the joint where the valve is. But fairly slow. Seems like only about 1 gallon every ~4 hours. And i don't have to turn the water off. Good ting since I can't get a plumber to call me back.
  13. Where did you go to high school? I think Gabe tried to pick a fight in every pickup game he played in at the Y. One of the more unlikeable people I've ever met.
  14. Sold 400k shares FPVD Kept 400k because why the hell not. Don't remember my exact cost basis, but I don't think I paid more than $5k for the full 800k shares.
  15. My hot water heater dripped one time. I looked at those 2 x 75gallon tanks, one of them dripping, and thought about what would happen if we had a major issue up there in the 2nd floor attic. I immediately replaced them with tankless. It definitely takes longer for water at a far away spout to heat up, but the peace of mind is worth it. That's not helpful at all to you right now, but something to think about.
  16. Frank Drebin: When I see five weirdos stabbing a guy in broad daylight, I shoot the bastards. That's my policy. Mayor: That was a Shakespeare In The Park production, you moron! You killed five actors! Good ones!
  17. Just think, next time I shoot someone, I could be arrested.
  18. I see this as a long term investment. Which is a little stupid for what was a penny stock 6, er...3 months ago. I'm sure it'll come back down on the day, but even at $7 it's still not a $1B company. Once the uplist happens, and revenue continues to trend upward, this could definitely be a $10 stock in the next 18 months.
  19. FORW up about 75% today. This is all setting up for a massive fall, and I'll be here for everyone to tell me I'm an idiot for riding this to the moon.
  20. I have no idea what that means. I prefer to just ride shotgun on the rocket ship.
  21. Holy fuck, I just checked my Schwab account. Was in a staff meeting. Was expecting to see red. I bought ALPP in 2 installments. My average is 0.124. I think first purchase was 0.07. Wish I had poured all my money in that first batch, but c'est la vie. Sitting on 100k shares ALPP and 150k shares TSNP. Have resisted every instinct to sell, even though I am now completely over-indexed to singular stocks. I feel like I have a single point of failure. But I also think the future for these companies is extremely bright, and in 5-6 years I could be sitting on retirement money before I turn 50 years old. I'm really torn
