  1. I know what Pandora station I'll be (Islands in the) streaming all day
  2. My wife has like 6 different types of flour for a total of about 8-10 bags, and it has been a source of ridicule by me for years, and really should be a post in the "Trivial things that annoy the shit out of you" thread. Keep in mind this is her usual stock. She hasn't bought a single bag this year. Now she's walking around like
  3. Wife made some beer bread with a similar recipe to Steamboat's last week. Yesterday she made a rosemary focaccia. It does not suck.
  4. Collective Surly fighting urges to jump back in: Trying to figure out when to turn into this:
  5. hord hopefully that person is sterile
  6. I'm selling our Double BOB. It's in fantastic shape. It's used, but well taken care of. New versions retail for $700. Link to Craigs list ad
  7. No shit. They're trying to add some sanity to the situation. "Everyone chill out. We're going to restock our shelves every day, and to do that we're going to reduce our hours. Every one can get the necessities they need as long as they aren't fucking jackasses about it." The problem is assholes with 100 roles of TP at their house are going to go restock every 3 days so they never drop below 95.
  8. If I had to put money on NE vs the field, I'd take the field.
  9. He doesn't strike me as the type of guy that just wants to get paid. That hasn't been his MO. I think at this point he wants to win AND get paid (in that order), and I'm not sure that opportunity exists. Should be interesting, but I don't think he'll go to one of those teams. Well, maybe Buffalo just to stick to to NE, but Buffalo doesn't seem like a Tom and Gisele kind of town. They actually have a decent team and need a QB.
  10. or a fucking cyclist
  11. against OU
  12. There were a lot of good ones. Baltimore, Cleveland, San Fran.
  13. Yea, I'll believe it when I see it.
  14. Used to watch "Black Sheep Squadron" in the 80's with my dad. He made sure to tell me 100 times it was originally called "Baa Baa Black Sheep". Didn't realize until I just looked it up that they only made 36 episodes. I probably watched them 3-4 times each. One of my greatest memories as a kid actually...watching it with my dad and wrestling during commercial breaks.
  15. My anecdote took place over 10 years ago
  16. My cousin got a DUI for being passed out in his car in his own driveway with the keys in the ignition (but not on). Different laws for different states I guess, but the story above really pisses me off.
  17. I saw it on msn.com. Their source was CBSDFW.com Headline and article referred to Texas A&M University, but clearly it is -Commerce. Not that it makes it better, but JFC get it right.
  18. Mine looked similar to this, except instead of cheese, I stuffed with boudin sausage. They did not suck. Was even told by one person I didn't know that they were the best jalapeno poppers he's ever had.
  19. Are you autistic?
  20. JFC, that is some serious closing speed
  21. This isn't south, but McGuire's Clocks on Burnet. I used them to get my Grandfather clock that I inherited from my Grandmother back in working order. It's not as awesome as yours sound (mine was made in 1976), but it's awesome to me. I spent hours sitting in front of it waiting for the chimes. I used it for close to 10 years before it stopped working, and they diagnosed the problem immediately (the parts don't last forever) and gave me a quote. Everything was very hands on--they showed me the parts that needed replacement and showed me the difference between new ones. Overall a very good experience and they knew what they were talking about. It was an expensive fix, and a sane person probably would have just bought a new one, but I told them the clock had sentimental value and I planned on keeping it in the family for generations.
  22. LOL, well I guess it depends on where you stay, but I didn't have a problem with driving, and I didn't find it very difficult. It fact, it greatly increased our flexiblity. It's not like we drove everywhere. We drove to Pompeii one day. We drove to Amalfi to catch the boat to Capri. And we drove to and from the Rome airport. We pretty much walked everywhere else. We can agree to disagree about Capri. Once we got away from the tourist trap where all the boats drop off, we enjoyed the island. Had one of our most memorable meals of the trip there at a random restaurant tucked away in the maze of stairs off the beaten path.
