  1. Weird for one recruit to schedule 3 OVs to the same school
  2. Not sure why this made me laugh so hard.
  3. Not particularly. At least not to me. YMMV
  4. Dry jerk seasoning or jerk marinade? The below dry rub is awesome on wings. It's what Plucker's used. I imagine it's great on other cuts as well, and I plan to try it on salmon in the near future. I have't found a marinade that particularly blew me away. I've tried my own and I've tried stuff in a jar. It was all a bit "meh".
  5. How about some Jerk seasoning? That pretty much kills on all poultry.
  6. Saw Black Panther last night. I enjoyed it--or at least I was entertained. But I guess I was expecting more. Seemed like everyone went on and on about what a great movie it was. Saw Blockers last week based on a recommendation from a guy at work. I was skeptical, and for good reason. I can't believe I paid for that POS. At least it was only $6 for PPV and not $100+ for tickets, drinks, snacks, babysitter, etc to see it in the theater.
  7. Serious question...where is the risk introduced? Are you assuming the water it's soaking in is already ripe with bacteria?
  8. I'd pay good money to hear the rest of this conversation
  9. Had a flashback this morning to something that happened over the summer on vacation. We were walking down the street in Crested Butte after eating lunch. Wife: Where are my sunglasses? I can't find my sunglasses! Me: Well we haven't gone far, so they may be at the restaurant. Wife: No, I know I had them. They're not here! Not in my purse, not in the stroller! Me: You're not talking about the sunglasses you're wearing right now, right? (kinda smile thinking I'm going to get a glare for my tone. She'll sometimes carry 2 pairs of sunglasses--one stylish and one for exercise--and I thought obviously she wasn't talking about the ones on her head) Wife pulls them off, says "yea, that's them", and keeps walking as if nothing happened. She didn't have them on top of her head. She was actively wearing them to protect her eyes from the sun. Thank God some random dude witnessed the whole thing so he could laugh at her with me. My 7 year-old son did the same thing with his watch this morning. He was frantically looking for it, only to find it on his wrist 2 minutes later.

    PJ Tucker

I have a dog named Tucker, and he is absolutely named after PJ.
  11. No shit. What does everyone else wear when mowing the lawn? A fucking baseball hat? That'll only keep your forehead protected from the sun.
  12. Thanks. I pulled the trigger 2 weekends ago. Paying $65 for 200Mb/s down. I have my own modem and wireless router. And went with YouTube TV for $40. After taxes, I'll be saving about $67/month, but now have a better selection of sports channels and almost 3X the bandwidth (had 70Mb/s down before).
  13. Wolf Spider I assume. They are good. They eat insects as well as Brown Recluse.
  14. Any recent data points on how much people are paying for internet only through Spectrum in Austin? I am cutting the cord this week and am curious what I should be pushing for when I make the call. We don't watch much tv, and when I looked at the programming option on Youtube TV, it looked like a no-brainer considering how many sports channels there are. About the only thing I'll miss is Food Network, and the reality is I can watch episodes on You Tube (not youtube tv) if I really want to. I started studying my bill, and I pay $75 after taxes for cable boxes, DVR, and "local TV and sports programming". This doesn't include the $99 I pay for bundled Internet and TV. You Tube TV is $42 after taxes, but I'm curious what I should be shooting for when it comes to Internet only plans from Spectrum. For reference, I currently have the Extreme plan (100 Mbps down), and it is perfectly fine for what we do so I plan to stay at that level.
  15. It's amazing to me to see the number of people that think it should be perfectly legal to launch yourself at the head of an opponent. I've also thought for a while if you really want to eliminate that sort of hit from football, you need to take away padding, not add more of it. If players wore leather helmets, no one would lead with their head.
  16. I've had a Performer for about 8 years now and love it. Never smoked a brisket on it, but the Smokenator looks interesting. I usually just move the coals to one side if I'm going to smoke something. I grill way more than I smoke, and the convenience of the built in propane starter is awesome.
  17. Why? Because he's not a mouth breather that thinks Texas Longhorn Football isn't all it's cracked up to be. We have 1 title since 1970. Deal with it. In the past 40 years, we have about 10-12 where we've been relevant. This year is more of the same shit.
  18. You spend money on this?? You must be young or have more money than sense. I hate that we lost, but the days of me wasting Saturdays anticipating our games and then watching a train wreck are long over.
  19. Ever seen 13 hours? I thought he was great in that. The movie was really good, too. Crazy intense.
  20. So many good quotes to chose, so much circular logic. This is my favorite part: "While those denials were plainly not accurate, Coach Meyer did not, in our view, deliberately lie." Wait...no, no. I like the line about being sure that if Urbs knew about the domestic violence, he would have fired Coach Smith on the spot. Uh, why? He didn't fire him at Florida when it happened, and he re-hired him at OSU. Why would he fire him now?
  21. And on top of that, the medicine he takes for his fake heart disease leads to fake memory loss. This guy has a rough life.
  22. I don't remember the last time I ate a hamburger that wasn't cooked outside on a grill.
  23. I have no idea why I've never looked him up before. He's by far my favorite color guy. I am now subscribed.
