  1. Did TH say something before the game? USF won that game by 23 points. With no context, the USF coach looks like a gaping vagina. And the announcers saying "that's a rivalry folks" doesn't really mean much.
  2. My son was learning about inner voice vs outer voice in 3rd grade last year. I think it was the school's attempt to get kids to not make fun of each other. My wife and I were having a discussion about the difference to understand what his takeaway was, and to try to push it a little further than the school did. He understood the concept fine, but he closed the conversation with something that is absolutely perfect if you knew him. "My inner voice pretty much always says "DO IT! DO IT!'"
  3. I thought that said "today I was a wagon wheel in Eagle Pass...".
  4. "Direct" is airline lingo that make no fucking sense. There is nothing direct about having to make a stop in a random city when going from point A to point B. That's a layover where you didn't have to change gates. Here's #1 definition for "direct": extending or moving from one place to another by the shortest way without changing direction or stopping.
  5. I definitely laughed for about half that video, then it dawned on me "my kids would fucking love that".
  6. I had a dream last night the Costco at Mopac and William Cannon got a star. I woke up in the middle of the dream and definitely got a chuckle at 2am.
  7. I found it easily with binoculars. Was pretty cool. But most importantly I wanted my kids to see it so I figured out the best landmarks on the ground to have them use as a reference position. My kids walked outside and I was prepared to walk them through exactly how to find it. "Oh yeah, there it is! That's cool". Young eyes I guess.
  8. Have you considered charging $9.95 for a newsletter?
  9. That's it! Gag 'em Aggies. Lol. Google is no help.
  10. Reminds me of a shirt that you'd see floating around DKR back in the late 90's (at least that's when I first saw it) of a drawing of Bevo getting a blow job from an aggie co-ed. Just keep focused on those 6 inches in front of you and then the end of season will come. That can't be real.
  11. The real question is if a fax machine will still be involved.
  12. Did you just try the fried pork chop with salat on top? I told you it was good.
  13. I mean, this dude calls out that Texas avoids Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Alabama in the same article he ranks 7 of the Aggy opponents in the bottom half of the conference. Who had the easy schedule?
  14. The Sedona thread got me thinking about how to spend 2 days in AZ in January. My 13 year old son has a soccer tournament in Phoenix Jan 3-5 (Fri-Sun). We want to spend a couple of days on the front or back end to do something fun. Leader in the clubhouse is fly into Phoenix Wed Jan. 1, drive somewhere in the afternoon, spend Thursday doing something fun, then returning to Phoenix for a Friday late afternoon game. The two options we are most heavily considering are the following, and I would love some advice. It will be me, my wife, and 3 boys aged 8, 10, and 13. In general, 3-4 hours is about the max length of time we have before "this is awesome!" turns into "when are we going to be back at the car?" for my kids on hikes and/or scenic outings. 1. Use Flagstaff as a home base Wed and Thurs. night for a day trip to the Grand Canyon on Thursday. We've never been, and it seems silly to be in the area and not go. But that feels like a lot of time in the car (2+ hours to Flagstaff and another 1.5 hours to South Rim), and my fear is that 1 day won't feel like long enough to say we "did" the Grand Canyon. I honestly have no idea of what there is to do other than a bunch of hikes and scenic overlooks. That gets old for my kids, so maybe 1 day is plenty. 2. Sedona. Looks like ~2 hour drive from PHX, and the Sedona thread looks like there are a ton hiking of options that will satisfy our needs. Less time overall in the car, but it's not the Grand Canyon. We'd probably have time to do something in the afternoon if we wanted to, but would need to be something that doesn't require much energy. I'm open to a potential 3rd option, but these seems like the most obvious 2 to consider.
  15. In all seriousness, though, if he had perhaps been more of a gentlemen and shared two pina coladas and a longneck bottle over dinner, she'd be bragging to friends about that summer rather than suing his ass.
  16. I'm having trouble visualizing the geometry and physics on that first paragraph. Sounds like quite the rodeo. Anyone want to take a stab in MS Paint?
  17. Was her name Tomorrow? Because Tomorrow never came.
  18. "The Thunder Rolls" "Oh it's rollin' baby!"
  19. Definitely think he's going to want God to answer his prayers on this one
  20. Seriously, WTF is that? Is he cheering for the refs?
  21. Carve is pretty good shit. I've been to the one on SW Parkway multiple times for work but never ordered the chicken-fried pork chop. I just went to their menu to see what's changed from the last time I went, and I noticed they have an option for putting a "salad" on top instead of gravy. It looked like arugula and a few tomatoes. This is probably a "ban user" POV, but if you've never had a CFS or CFPC with squeeze of lemon or arugula with a light vinaigrette on top, you should give it a try. It's a fantastic combination. It's pretty common for schnitzel to come with a lemon in Germany, and I had a pork schnitzel topped with arugula and lemon vinaigrette at Trattoria Lisina a few times that rocked my world. The acidity from the lemon and the bite from the arugula cuts through the fat of the meat and crust, and you don't have that "full and greasy" feeling afterwards.
  22. I feel like the audio from "back up Terry!" dubbed over this video would be pretty epic. "oh lawd!"
