  1. An Omega Constellation GlobeMaster might be on the high end of your range but you can find one for under $5k and they are great.
  2. You serious? You can get them for under $400. Its a fun watch but not dressy and not worth anything more than $400.
  3. Looking forward to the first aggy "Yellow Out" game next season.

  5. Looking forward to the first aggy "Yellow Out" game next season.
  6. Thanks y'all, that's what I'll do.
  7. That's kind of my thought. Be able to breathe a little and sleep.
  8. Any issues talking nyquil to relieve covid symptoms? Seems from doing my own research it should be fine. Symptoms are currently minor and I'm vaccinated. But starting to get a little congestion and small fever.
  9. Not sure if it's every been mentioned in this thread but Fratellis on Westview and Wirt is fantastic. Every time the food has been delicious and the service extremely friendly. Highly recommend if you're looking for an Italian option.
  10. I have one of these on the way. I've heard the finishing is pretty good for a relatively inexpensive microbrand. Probably too small for me but figured I'd give it a try.
  11. How did they deal with it? I honestly haven't seen anything confirming he was processed. If so, that's the nature of the beast now. These are no longer amateur athletes, they are professionals. With that comes a business approach. Gotta take the bad with the good.
  12. Paul Thorpe on YouTube is a former watch dealer and discusses these robberies a lot (he was robbed 3x when he was a dealer) and has discussed this black market. What is interesting is that while it may take years and years, eventually someone sells the watch to the general public to realize the profits (since the prices on the black market are very low compared to the gray market). The buyer eventually takes the watch for service, its compared against the database and recognized as stolen and returned to the rightful owner. The person who bought it without the papers is out the money - so don't buy high-end watches without the papers.
  13. Its already there. Pretty much this. I don't like the NFL and I don't like where college football is now (not that I don't agree with paying players - they are definitely entitled). But its big business and Texas is the biggest so while you may not like it, the fact of the matter is we should be pretty dominant going forward. Maybe not Alabama levels, but we should be in the discussion for the SEC championship and Playoffs every season going forward. I'll give them a pass in 2022 with the enormous roster turnover and likely several freshmen playing on the lines. There's a new world order and no other program is better suited to take advantage than Texas. So even if you don't like college football as much, at least enjoy Texas being in the best position to take advantage. You (and all of us) deserve it after the last 11 years.
  14. There's an entire underworld of watches. The watches have completely different values because they are known to be hot and the buyer knows that they can't sell it on the gray market. Eventually, down the line, someone usually sells it because they can't resist the big money.
  15. Merry Christmas to you! That's gorgeous!
  16. A huge thanks and congratulations to all of those responsible! Awesome work.
  17. Video on the GO Senator Chrono
  18. The AT is a great watch.
  19. Congrats, beautiful!
  20. Damn, that is sharp and clean.
  21. Also, for reference my wrists are 7 3/8 in the photo above. In the earlier photos my wrist was 7 5/8. Shed a few pounds recently. I personally wouldn't suggest it for any wrists smaller than 7 inches. But to each their own.
  22. It's massive and blocky. Visually it's large and I think the lug to lug is like 55mm. It wears very comfortable with the flat case back and titanium. The straps are great, although nearly impossible to switch because they are fitted to the case. Curved spring bar helps. But the strap is very comfortable and the watch feels secure. For the park or going to a game, its great. A total weekender. It's never seen my office. For $1k is a great change of pace. And I do really like the brand's unique design. And while I love the wandering hours, I have a lot of other watches ahead of that one for what it costs.
  23. It isn't for everyone for sure. I switch watches alot so I throw it on if I'm going to one of my kids ' games or otherwise completely casual and outdoors. I don't really see Invicta in it other than being large. But I can't say I've ever spent time looking at Invicta watches. I thought they were mostly shitty knockoffs of Subs and large blingy watches. The guys who started the brand are both watch designers from AP (and alot of other high end brands) and there are a lot of little elements that show a real understanding of design. Titanium case so it's pretty light and a darker gray with a ceramic bezel. The lume is pretty cool with the 5-minute markers instead of hours so it really fits with the car theme (speedometer). I also love square and cushion style cases and always have since I started collecting. My first real watch.
  24. Someone here has posted wrist shots of their Senator. He won't be disappointed with GO, easily my favorite brand. I could easily see adding the Senator to the collection in the future. Along with many of their other watches. One other watch for him to consider, if he wants dressier but with a little bit of funky vibe, go for the GO Sixties Glacier Blue Chrono. More dressy, less sporty, and only comes on a leather strap. But that dial. And there's probably a bracelet out there that will fit it - check out Forstner.
