One final note, you'll get quite a few eyeroll emojis, exorcism in lower tours, but F em. They shutup pretty quick when you hole shots. 95% is people use it in T9?+ and those who don't, like Did, have played enough games to know generally what the adjustment should be. It's a guess though. I haven't looked at Fuds stats, but he's a great player and guesstimate and does very well. That said, without looking at the stats, I bet he had about 2x as many games as I have and I bet I have more holes in one and albatrosses. Not to take anything away from Fud, but I use the ring method and hole out alot. Knowing the adjustment is absolutely critical in finishing near the top in tournaments, no matter the level. Without it you might make the weekend in rookie and pro but you probably won't finish top 20 or 30. No chance in Expert or Masters, you probably won't ever make the weekend. There are too many great players. I barely play expert unless it's a course I think I can shoot -30 on. My best rounds ever was - 32 in Expert a few tournaments ago and I finished 25th.fucking ridiculous. My - 16 in this tournament got 10th although would have been top 5 with a - 16 in the first round. But baby steps. I've been using that method for 6+ months and just recently got really proficient at it. Just getting close while you're starting will make a dramatic difference in winning matches and keeping a solid bankroll.
-
Another way to start is to simply move the target without rotating. It isnt exact but you can get close. Then you can start rotating once you get used to the concept. You can also start to figure out the elevations on shootouts because you'll see that the ball doesn't land exactly where it should after you adjust. Tough to tell when the winds are just a few miles pretty hour but you'll start to see it at about 5+ mph and it's very important when you get to higher tours.

The notebook app is an overlay on Android and also on ios tablets. On the iPhone it isn't but you just switch to it and make the adjustment before you teepee while you're opponent is hitting. You'll know the holes enough to get everything set in advance and just plug in the wind. There are a few videos in YouTube by Zachary Jones who created it on how to use it effectively and quickly. I posted a few general guidelines above, but those are just estimates. You can create a PDF on the golf clash notebook website. Make sure to do rings per wind and it will give you every single adjustment for each club for the exact winds and Min /Mid /Max. It can be a little overwhelming which is why I prefer the app. Plus it doesn't account for elevation. For instance, I use +10% on pretty much every tee shot that isn't dramatically downhill. That helps with the wind effect. That really only becomes an issue with wind that are higher than 6 or so and even then it's pretty minimal. You've probably hit a shot into the wind and noticed it didn't bounce as far as the guide indicated. That's wind effect, but it impacts all shots with wind in every direction. Don't worry about that for now. But some shots are +20 or +30% more if they are dramatically downhill. The app will do that math for you, but it's pretty easy to add 10% in your head. 6 ring adjustment would be 6.6 rings at +10%, 5.4 at - 10% (uphill). Knowing the EM is about 1 ring per 2mph is a good rule. Helps your accuracy on drives. Most of the other clubs are about 1.5 or 1.67 approximately and high accuracy clubs like the QB, Sniper and rock are about 1 to 1. Those are approximate based on Max.

First, join BabaTwooey! Second, bankroll will be an issue but honestly learning the ring method will help alleviate that issue since you will have an advantage in most shootouts through about T8. You'll win more and have more coins. But, don't be in a rush to move up. The first tours are pretty repetitive and short, but Fud is right, get really really good at each tour and build up your bankroll. Most games will end in shootouts. Its stressful when you're playing tours before you have enough bankroll - ideally you should have 10-15x the entry at a minimum. Wait until you have 30k at least before playing it. By then you'll be pretty good at the ring method. Here are a few general, not exact guidelines for adjustments. Generally assume 2mph = 1 ring for early clubs.Go to golfclashnotebook.io and they have a wind tool you can look up each club at each level. It can be confusing, but you want rings per wind which will let you know immediately how many rings you need to adjust. If you are adjusting into the rough then assume less so you don't overpull and land in the rough. If you are pulling away from the rough 2 should be fine since there aren't many cases where it is ever more than 2 (EM goes to 2.2 at some levels). Some clubs with high accuracy like the QB/Sniper/Rock are closer to 1 to 1. But practice it and you'll get good. The app is worth getting - makes it easy, but takes a some practice to use.

I put 500 as a minimum to create some urgency, but I've paid attention to who plays and who doesn't That's why I've said a few times in the chat that I've noticed who plays in tournaments and who is playing regularly. I don't plan on cutting anyone above Gerhardt. Andrew puts up points every day. Oz plays tournament as does Richard. Bruno will probably go but want to give him a chance to come back. Brock is Bababooey and just started and is kicking ass, Greg is damn good (can't believe he finished 11th with a -30 - that sucks). After that, Speed jumped back up from the other clan because I asked. He took one for the team to jump down initially. (Thanks Speed!) Bruno, Arbo, Rrat, Goat, Stranger, Barry, Kenny and James are all going to be gone shortly. I'll leave bruno till last because he showed early promise. I'm working my way up the list starting at the bottom. The rest will be able to celebrate. I want to keep it as 500, but make it a goal. Not sure I'll set a min but may try to challenge some of the people in the 600+ range to get closer to 1000. There's been quite a bit more participation, posting shots, recruiting from others on the team. Also seeing a lot of ring method, which makes me happy. I'm thinking I'm going to offer some sort of reward system - nothing major. Some scores more points than my main account, I'll buy them a $50 ball pack. Maybe $5 ball pack for 1000 points and a $20 ball pack for 2000.

In T9+ anything around 50% is good. I'm good for 10k+ in all my accounts. It's just easier to win in T8 with my Alt HHII. I get tired of losing shootouts with my main account hitting it within 1-2 yards. So I switch and win close to 70% with the other account. Happy to see a new course. That's a good philosophy, Jack. But really, I'm going to re-suggest at the end of the season that the goal is 500 pts and if people aren't comfortable they can get close to that, they can move to the other clan or leave but going forward its active players who are producing points. I don't really know what it takes to move up to MIII, but I'm guessing its closer to 65-75k at a minimum. We aren't going to get there next season, but over a 2-3 seasons if we can roll off the bottom 10% a couple times and replace with more players in the 1-2k range, we might have a chance if we can get a 4 or 5 more people who can put up 3-4k each. The big thing is the people on the team need to be playing T7 and 8 at least. It's just too many games at levels lower than that to get a substantial number of points. I am happy to see that a lot of people who post shots seem to be using the ring method - most people aren't Fud and can wing it so they are constantly battling against their bankroll. Just winning 55% can earn you a lot of money pretty quickly and the best way to do that is to have the advantage in shootouts in T4, 5 and 6 knowing how to correctly adjust for the wind.
-
At least Barry has indicated an interest in improving. But hard to do that if you don't play. I agree we need to fill those spots, so I'll be cutting very soon.
-
Weird it won't find your account. EMJ started the clan and named it BabaBooey, not surprising he's knowledgeable. I do be mind kicking people who aren't performing. I would prefer they played but I realize not everyone plays that much. But there's probably 100,000+ clans, they can find another one that will let them sit on their ass. There are quite a few people on the team putting in a lot of time, you as much as anyone, to play and earn points. It isn't fair to have spots that are wasted on people who aren't interested in playing. It increases the burden on thse that are. Come the weekend and I'm cutting those 5 guys. We need more PapCs. Can't you just switch accounts on the same device? Or am I misunderstanding? What tablet did you get? I'm seriously considering getting an iPad mini just for this game. I don't use Apple, but I've heard the swing meter consistency is a night and day difference than on Android. The only downside is my wife will wonder why I'm spending that much money on a game.

You're in, I think you have to accept it now to actually join. Welcome to the team! Since you're new to the game, I have put a fair amount of helpful info together, including club attributes, links, tips, etc. The most important of these is the ring method which there's a link to a great YouTube video by Erelic on how and why. You're just getting your feet wet, but if you can learn how to incorporate it into your game very early, you'll win more and won't be strapped for coins like most people. Plus its much easier to learn when the wind is low because the adjustments are very minimal. Anyways, if you'd like shoot me an email at houstonhorngc@gmail.com and I'll add you to the distribution. One other strategy for having coins is to NOT upgrade all the clubs. Some are useless and not worth upgrading. The club attributes helps with that, but if you have questions you can post here or email me and I'll take a look at what you have and what you should be upgrading/playing. Cheer! Welcome to the team!

BB, search for BabaBooey! and you'll find us and send a join request. They're may be several so make sure to join the one in President. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk

Does this have anything to do with my Tapa not working for the last 7-10 days? If so, I'm still having issues.
-
A couple things. Don't use Tommy, he doesn't give the correct elevation adjustments unless you are a paying member. They are close, but not always correct. Watch Erelic or Toast of Golf Clash. They are both TeamTommy streamers, but I've seen differences in how they play and adjust vs. Tommy. They both are good and I use them for their adjustments. Since Erelic has a Golf Caddie app, you can pause the video and see what elevation he is using and min/mid/max distances which you can check if you have the app. I will type in the numbers for Toast and back into his elevation if I like his shot and want to try it. There usually aren't huge differences, but there are some, and you want to be comfortable with the shot or you'll miss Perfect more often than not. The EM 5 has enough distance, but it just makes the Par 5s and some Par 4s a little more difficult. However, if you're willing to invest a little money, get a ball pack when they offer one that has 4+P or has the forward spin boost. Those really help distance without overpowering (which is where you get into trouble quickly). Obviously don't use them for regular 1v1 but only for tournaments. They are a big help on certain holes and help to minimize mistakes made when overpowering shots. The Big Topper is great for tournaments, not everyday. I use it on hole 3 with the Ryder Cup ball on the left side and have a very good chance at a rough bump Albatross (which I would make more often if I didn't hit great right nearly every time.). But from a strategy perspective, if you don't have a GREAT shot at making an eagle (Par 4) or albatross (Par 5), just play smart and get on the green in 2 and make your putt for 3 on those. You do that and make birdies on every par 3 you are at -12. You will make every cut shooting -12 on each 9 holes and you'll finish around middle of the pack in the finial round. That's a hundred+ hundred points in rookie. No worries on the points man. It's a goal, and I'm not booting people for not reaching it. But I am going to boot some more dead weight at the bottom who only show up once a week so they don't show as being absent for 7+ days but only put up 10-20 points on the season. That is bullshit and those people need to either be in BabaTwooey or some other clan. We can fill those spots up with actual production. What is your name in the game - we've added so many people I've lost track? I see who puts up points on a regular basis and just because someone only gets 2 or 4 points a match, that's a lot of playing to get to 500 points. So don't sweat that. But that's one of the reasons I push the ring method on everyone because once you learn it you have a huge advantage up to T8 when more people start using it. So you win more, you get more coins, you play T6 or 7 or 8 getting 2-3x the points for every win. You don't have to win nearly as much to get to the minimum.

I think I admitted you back in. You didn't show up in the list, so not sure if you have to do something else on your end to finally join.
-
No worries man. Get better. Question. A lot of clans talk about perks points as incentive. They are not talking about the perkss of being in Masters, they are offering something, sometimes $. How does that work?
-
Damn Fud, that sucks. Glad to hear you are recovering.
-
Great show. Good story with nice twists. Acting is phenomenal. Amazing over the top violence.
-
Chinese or Japanese?
-
I also look at this season and whether they are on track for 500.
-
I have pretty much the same philosophy. I will recruit M1 players at VC or member of if the President if the clan is way down the list of players. They can't see the ranking, but they can see an active president and that everyone is pretty much captain. I think the minimum in the description helps. Keeps low volume players out and may attract high volume players on teams where they generate a lot of the points for the team. We'll see, the new additions show subs promise except for Arbo.
-
I can't remember but I remember being confused when he did it. Just going to a process of slowly rotating low performers out and keep the higher performers.
-
I google some of the sternisms. I guess I should try listening to him. I have in the past but not ever regularly. Nevermind, he's on Sirius. I'm not paying for that.
-
He had 995 points last season. He changed his name halfway through the season.
-
Fud, we may need some of your grinding if you have any time the next few weeks. Going to be close on making it to M2. Hopefully we can pull in some new blood that brings in some points as well but right now we're sitting one spot out. Hope all is well.
