  1. Pretty sure there is no Dollar General. Spent the last 2 nights there. Went to Allsups and Bison Cafe though. Wife's family has lived there since the late 60's, Cotton farm in White flat, turkey etc. Her Great Aunt retired from the Valley School.
  2. Was out in Turkey. Saw lots of Mule deer and hogs. Shot a couple of whitetail does. Picked up several knives in Matador at Moore Maker Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  3. Just got back from Quitaque and Turkey, TX. Are those considered small towns?
  4. Got the tenderloin from Costco, they had them on sale before Christmas. recipe you asked for https://www.homesicktexan.com/2015/08/green-chile-corn-pudding.html
  5. I'm heading out to Turkey tomorrow and see what I can put down. Been slow in Henderson county. to many damn acorns.
  6. I'm going to post more on Surly. That's about it for me.
  7. Midlothian and Waxahachie are both basically suburbs of Dallas and both are pretty decent living. Lots of younger families have moved there especially Waxahachie. if you're looking for a little space but be close to a major metro area and have decent enough schools you could do a lot worse.
  8. Just heard on the radio that the hang up is JJ wants to bring in Lincoln Riley as Head Coach and let Jason Garrett be HCIW.
  9. Any of ya'lls women carry? If so what do they carry? My wife carry a .38 airweight. Thinking about getting her a Glock 42
  10. Man, I'm not sure to congratulate you or be worried for your health
  11. Picked up a P365 Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  12. A little late posting. Had some tenderloin this past weekend. Made the hatch corn pudding recommended by another surly member on the Christmas thread. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  13. Burgers on the Blackstone. Grilled onions and Hatch peppers. Lil bourbon and new Dewalt compound miter saw Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  14. Pretty much what Fattyflattie described. On the newer diesels most of the issues are related to all the new emission crap they put on them. Every issue I've had on my '14 3500 was emission related. At times not running it hard enough so it went into regen to often which can give your turbo problems. With the DPF delete there is no more DEF required. Not that DEF is expensive but its just another thing you have to buy. Lots of info out there about deleting---pros and cons. I have no clue about these diesels on half ton trucks but I know the new diesels on 3/4 and 1 ton trucks are meant to be ran hard.
  15. is Costco open tomorrow? serious. i'm wanting to buy some tenderloin
  16. beautiful truck brother. first thing I'd do the minute that thing is out of factory warranty get it deleted. Both DPF and EGR. I have a deleted 6.7 and she runs like a boss.
  17. what do you recommend? I've ran K02's on my 3500 and they've been pretty good.
  18. I've got a lot of great memories of the past but I'm making many more now with this crazy girl. I had a kid fairly late in life and she's my only one-that I know of. She was born on December 25th 2014. Greatest Christmas present ever. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  19. Couple photos from this weekend Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  20. also, that bull doesn't look big for a Brahman but it could just be the picture. of course size doesn't matter when it comes to being a mean bull or not. Damn Jersey bull will whip your ass in a heart beat.
  21. No matter how docile a bull is its still a bull. so never turn your back. I've seen bulls that were bottle fed get after people especially if they are in the way of a cow in heat. I've got Brangus and Hereford Bulls and i always carry a small bat/heavy stick on me when I'm in the bull pen.
  22. there's nearly 800 units and over 3 billion in sales.
