  1. What’s worse… we got two bats, a couple doge coins, and IOU in returnz
  2. What a fucking unbelievable day. This just set us back 2 decades.
  3. If you feel bad, be glad you’re not a Cubs fan today.
  4. This is what I have a problem with. We’re getting dogshit returns for some of the games best talent. We’re turning into the Indians team from major league.
  5. Bryant to the giants now. What an incredibly sad day.
  6. Someone should photoshop balls where fuckbaum’s ears are.
  7. You clearly don’t understand how PE works. They literally cannot do that. Limited Partnership agreements have covenants that keep PE firms from doing things like that.
  8. See my above post. They will not give a fuck. All they need is one Kobe or Lebron to come out of Oregon to break even. In the process they pay to win everything for Phil Knight’s alma mater. Phil Knight is laughing his ass off right now.
  9. Probably not. But what’s Nike’s overall revenue and brand foot print from universities like compared to all the other shit they sell? They’ll sell athletes first, with their brand. They’re just making sure they’re getting the athletes from the ground up now that it’s semi-legal. Adidas just jumped the gun. Chess, not checkers.
  10. Then that’s Oregon playing the short game instead of the long game. The reality is you could even bundle financial advisory services that are athlete specific and integrate there as well. Have the advisors pitch the kid on what kind of money they could really make.
  11. This is actually the best idea yet. Could even be scaled and sold as a platform to other schools. Make it a non-profit and direct proceeds to the football program. Let other school’s fans pay our players. The as a service model is where everything is moving anyways. I spent most of my career in SaaS private equity and this seems pretty straightforward from that lens. Call it a SaaS company and let the the multiples go to the moon. A monkey could run a SaaS company.
  12. 1. Keep race out of anything. This isn’t an aggy board.
  13. Somewhat this. I look at watches as something I like and as a tangible asset investment. Sure I have a 3-4 of them, I also wear them all pretty regularly or for specific occasions and could probably flip them all relatively quickly for 3/4K profit on each. Also - I never pay retail for them, like any major purchase. I shop the fuck out of anything I buy over $1k and usually bitch about it the entire time. I can afford not to but you don’t retain/build wealth by spending all your money.
  14. Appropriate watch is appropriate. And speedmaster all day.
  15. Did I say that? Why try to sit there and postulate what happened versus just hoping for the best for the player?
  16. Dude, shut the fuck up with the arm chair diagnosis.
  17. Was just receiving a throw in. Nothing out of the ordinary. He just collapsed. Edit* - class move by his teammates to try to block the cameras. And to Schmeichel and Kjaer.
  18. This is the worst thing I’ve ever seen in sports. T&P for Christian and his family.
  19. Should run you 4-5k. @Longhorn94
  20. THIS is straight porn. Next one on deck.
  21. They did release a 38mm luminor due in gold. I think it’s meant for the ladies though.
  22. The moonphase’s from Omega are really nice - and honestly can be worn daily or as a nice dress watch. I’m an IWC snob personally. You can get a gold case Portuguese for around those numbers if you look. If you like breitling and omega shop both. If you look hard enough you might be able to get both for your budget.
  23. Honestly man, if you’re between 8-9k, unless your getting a nice omega - look at other brands. @ChiTownDoc and @G650 are good sounding boards depending on what you’re looking for.
  24. I understand scarcity and elastic pricing. What I’m saying is what is causing the drop in supply? I have both. Colt Chrono and Speedy. I prefer the Omega. Also - what’s your price point? Your average Breitling will usually be less expensive at retail than Omega.
