  1. But it hasn’t had a surprise element in years. When they mandated balanced lines and no movement before the kick it died. I agree you should be able to announce an onside kick anytime you want. So now it remains a mostly dead play so leave it as a choice anytime and it goes the way of the drop kick. I’d add the option of a fourth and 15 option from your 35. That adds way more excitement and way more opportunity for success. It fails and other team starts where downed inside your 50.
  2. AB so sorry for your family’s loss. Hurts awful but he’s not suffering. Grieve but celebrate the joy he brought to everyone.
  3. Due to the aggravated nature of the offense, prosecutors said Dicus is not eligible for parole until 2043 at the earliest. “Waller County does not tolerate domestic violence," Waller County Criminal District Attorney Sean Whittmore said in a statement. "Heinous crimes like this one will not go unanswered, we will seek justice for the victims of domestic violence and send a message to the perpetrators that here, we fight for our victims." Parole eligible in 20 years. DA prancing like he got three death penalties. Weak ass judge.
  4. The Saban conversation was a huge lesson in developing a winning QB. And how that QB leads a team. It was a lesson every front office and coach and qb could learn from. Dak is a perfect example in why he can’t put a team on his shoulders. Bears have an inhouse barber. I think it was better when the players did their own and rookies all got their goofy hairdos. Or Michael Irvin stabbing teammates with scissors.
  5. Jub doing velvet taco spots is a beating. It’s worse than his music takes. I don’t think he’s ever eaten any of their food or knows what most of it is.
  6. A maple tree pours sap out like a garden hose. Takes about a tanker to make one bottle syrup. Mines room temp but warm it gently with a chopped jalapeño for your waffles, ton of butter. Awesome.
  7. I was in Jersey headed from Newark to a meeting in Mahwah. Hit fucking traffic at like 10pm. The driver said, “I forgot. They open this thing called Sonic and folks line up day and night. You would have thought they were doing free blow jobs. I said we got em at home. Good place for drinks. He said I guess I gotta try it. I said it ain’t all that.
  8. I have one of those things and it’s great for the burnt on shit. I only use them for a few things these days. I hate dealing with their weight. Carbon steel I likey much better. And I have an unending source of nonstick.
  9. An unpopular practice. I have some ancient cast iron. Well seasoned. When I use it, I wash with dawn and hot water, scrub it, dry it, spray with some oil, wipe it out, put it up. My grandmothers didn’t baby those pans.
  10. Looks like at least three 442 or Cutlasses there. I had a 70 442 when I was 16. My high school parking lot would go for a few mill a mecum. Back in the mid70’s the budget car was a muscle car. A buddy had a hemi Cuda he got for $800. The lot had plenty of early CamarosZ28’s, boss Mustangs, 340 Demons, Hemi or 440 Chargers and RoadRunners. Buddy inherited a tan 64 Dodge Dart with a rusted out floor. He dropped in a Hemi with big mufflers with cutouts. Left the slant 6 badges. Would try to race dudes and lose then come back up on a bigger bet and open the cut outs. Sounded like Don Garlits on the line. The rich kids had conversion vans and good weed, or later wheezy thunderchicken TransAms, or Vettes. One had a fucking Bricklin.
  11. The scene of Nicky and his brother being beaten and buried alive in a hole really creeps me out. That is a fear of mine. It is supposedly very close to how they killed and buried Spilotro.
  12. Football always brings the flood of Jake with Mahomes. I also hate the Mahomes & Palamaleu head and shoulders spots.
  13. Based on the shitty smashburger that sonic gave me I would have killed for the Arby’s burger. I’ve had it. Once. But it was 10x better than that shit I got at sonic.
  14. “and the Sam Rothstein Dancers!” Love both films and just watched Casino again on Peacock .
  15. The voting was done supposedly in November December. Before Dak choked again. They should vote after Super Bowl.
  16. The current onside rules remain. One has to declare as the player have to now line up back at the 35 with the kicker. Same shitty odds as always of success. I’d rather see a scrimmage play myself.
  17. Whatever you’re smoking I don’t want any of it. Jerry’s whole reason for living is being the owner of the Cowboys. He’s already a billionaire. If he sold the team for $10 billion what’s he got left? He couldn’t deal with being a nobody just regular multibillionaire.
  18. You know a mash up of Dragonshow, Paulie Walnuts, and Aggie Yell practice might be interesting.
  19. I have a vac sealer. It’s just two of us. I will buy meat on sale and vac it and freeze it. So if Tom Thumb has chuck roast for $2.47 lb or pork tenderloins for 99 cents I’ll buy several and vac and freeze at home. I’ll then thaw and grind up a roast for burger. I also repack my kids venison as I don’t like how they package it at his processor. If I make a big pot of chili or spaghetti sauce I will vac pack and freeze. Vac sealing really prevents freezer burn. But you do have to keep track of inventory and defrost it in time for a meal. If I just buy meat for a regular groceries I don’t freeze it unless I forgot it and need to . Unless it turned and I toss it.
  20. This would be genius. Paulie Walnuts and Daemon in the Pine Barrens. “Tone you won’t believe this…I rode a fuckin dragon!”
  21. I’ll trade a surprise onside kick once per decade for ceremonial kickoffs thru the endzone. The new rule makes the kickoff something to watch for the first time Simone they banned the flying wedge around 1908. I wish the nfl would adopt the AAFL replay setup. It was brilliant and efficient and quick. Ow ers will never pay for it.
  22. That’s like one of those maps that tout Captain D’s as the most popular restaurant in Texas or that too hoo is our favorite soft drink. Also if accurate that indicated the Cowboys are the favorite team of the 47 people in China that have knowledge of American football.
  23. While we’re getting nostalgic this is the best dog we ever had. We got him when he was 6 and lost him at 17. Buddy the Jack Russell. Headstrong demanding and smarter than most people. But he bonded to my wife and rarely left her side. A good boy that I’ve missed for 8 years now.
  24. That’s he point of the thread is just seeing what different folks do. I really don’t care. Just curious. It’s like folks whining about well done steaks and ketchup on hot dogs. I ain’t eating it so I could give a shit.
