  1. Anyone with the sense God gave a goat knows that the dish one judges a TexMex restaurant on is their cheese enchiladas. It is simple so execution is critical as any failure in any of the elements renders the dish a disappointing failure. Hence a failure as a restaurant. It’s like steak frites in a French bistro or etoufee in a Cajun joint or over easy fried eggs in a diner. There are basic dishes that indicate the competence of a cook. Now go get your fuckin shine box.
  2. There are some who believe Donny was imaginary. The “I Just Dopped in to see What Condition My Condition Was In” hallucinatory dream scene is one of my favorites in all of filmdom. Kenny Rogers finest song.
  3. My god a new jardiance commercial launched. Now it’s a black guy singing the jingle about crotch rot. Perhaps the best reason to ban prescription drug advertising.
  4. He gets the chicken “fajitas”. Fruit cup instead of refried beans.

El Tiempo just opened in the old Rangers stadium in Arlington. Is it good?
  6. I like your first three here. Mary Ann was the wildest in bed though; she was up for anything.
  7. The difference is Al Davis was singing J’Marcus persuades until the end. Vince had his coach purposely trying to kill him and his career. Jeff Fisher is an evil motherfucker. Murdered Steve McNair. Tried to kill VY.
  8. Documentary? I don’t know what to make sometimes of The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch but wife loves Travis Taylor and if the shits real they’re experiencing, it’s fucking insane, and if it’s fake, it’s some crazy shit Hollywood hasn’t figured out yet.
  9. Lots of great food in Denver. At all costs avoid BeauJo’s Pizza. It’s horrible from a regional chain that some locals love. Imagine an 8 pound doughy pizza covered in honey. No thanks.
  10. This seems to be the only franchise that doesn’t employ alcohol to fuel drama conflict and fucking. I think rather than providing them a miraculous kill before extraction, maybe they should start adding hooch to the mix. Especially on these longer missions and with groups, finding a case of Tito’s could add to the fun if it doesn’t kill a few of them.
  11. Lizzie Musi of drag racing fame. Only 33, from a reallly tough rapid spreading variety of breast cancer. Lots of docs won’t do mammograms until 40. Urge your ladies to push hard for testing if they think something is going on in their bodies. An insidious disease.
  12. Lupe is only good for grilled meats. The Tex Mex just ain’t.
  13. Does anyplace like this still exist? When I was a kid and we went to eat Mexican food, a lot of places would not only give you a basket of chips with a jug of hot sauce (some places it was refrigerated, some room temp, some warmed), but a bowl of escabische pickled jalapeños, carrots, and onions. Also a bowl of butter pats to go with the hot corn tortillas on the table. If you asked they might have a green hot sauce in the back. It all came with the flagon of iced tea or Dr Pepper. While waiting on my cheese and onion enchiladas and beef tacos or bean and beef tostadas, we’d eat a ton of the hot tortillas with butter, salt, and escabiche rolled into a delicacy. If they had flour tortillas we’d butter them and add a packet of sugar to each. I know food costs and waste management ent have killed these practices but if one exists I might make a trip of it. Obviously the cheese ench gotta be right.
  14. Watched all of king of collectibles. Interesting memorabilia but Ken is so whiny in his pitches. We started the Mole. It should be renamed the Moron. What a collection of idiots.

  19. I eat at Fattoush all the time and the burger is addicting. Don’t let the outside fool you; the inside is very nice and it’s always packed. Arlington is loaded with a variety of excellent middle eastern joints and fattoush is a favorite. It’s modern and not kitschy. He uses a charcoal grill for all his grilled items and he has some specialties you might not see elsewhere. The lamb chops will knock your dick in the dirt. We usually get this enormous mixed grill platter; he’s taken a riff from craft barbecue joints and makes it loaded and cool. Highly recommended.
  20. That doesn’t look like New Haven apizza to me. Appears pretty thick. The real deal is thin crust, little edge, very similar to Neopolitan style that costs an arm and leg at Cane Rosso. Corky’s in Arlington is the only true New Haven style pizza in DFW. It is awesomeness. Owned by a family who grew up in the business in New Haven, except for mom who’s a Texan. http://www.corkyspizza.com/id5.html Frank Pepe’s in New Haven is considered the OG. It’s been named the best pizza in the country before. https://pepespizzeria.com/
  21. Big music rights issues often impact lives of shows in reruns.
  22. I like and respect Guy Fieri but I really hate his awful nicknames. He’s worse than Chris Berman.
  23. Always loved Martin mull going back to Fernwood To night. That evolved out of Mary Hartman mary Hartman. I’ve never seen it in syndication.
  24. I listen to them or 105 only in the car going places. I guess you actually went to Summer Bash and you sing along with their awful songs.
  25. Nashville would be a solid scene, with a history of hillbilly, soul and southern food, barbecue, and the Cumberland River valley. Add in the history of the place, old and modern country music , and its more recent cosmopolitan place it makes for good stories. Plus they can cater a bachelorette party
