  1. Where’s the onion? Otherwise, perfection.
  2. You know Bob wants him to be a yell leader. Whoop!
  3. And half of them lasted an hour or two.
  4. Only an idiot could watch that shitpile and not see all the obvious holes. But it’s about poor Eskimos! Climate change! Indigenous women disappearing! All valid issues but it doesn’t excuse this shit show.
  5. The prof who we believed was the CIA recruiter was known as the “intergalactic diplomat”. I interviewed with them and didn’t get far as it was too weird or I was too stoned. I interviewed with state and with navy intelligence. That was my big mistake. They would pay for my ma and PhD thru Georgetown, plus I’d go in as a lt JG. Teach at the war college and retire an admiral. The stupidity of youth. Shit man I’ll have to cut my hair and quit weed.
  6. I too don’t like Jersey retirements but this one seemed way overdue. I hated he played for the Skins but I loved watching him play. Super fast, smart, and so graceful to watch in his play. Texas hero.
  7. They can’t fire him. No one wants the job. No one is paying attention anyway. I think this experiment is going down the drain. You can’t make a business on the lack of brand, lack of stars, and lack of drama. No name players in a no name league of no name teams. The fact they draw a crowd in St Louis should say something about the general mental health of Missouri . I think they are telling folks that big crowds might get the chiefs to STL. They did this in Memphis every time.
  8. I never open this thread without hoping he’s been found dead in some embarrassing degraded manner.
  9. Capitulating to the cashless society fascisti. They have several ATMs. Today you’re the king. Next stop…Valentina’s.
  10. Can’t wait to see this. I grew up in Memphis and was in the radio and music business in high school and college. I knew a lot of these guys as Stax had gone away. I met the great Willie Mitchell, David Porter, most of the Memphis Horns, knew Albert King, Carla Thomas, Mavis staples, and Duck Dunn was our bass player in between his Clapton tours. Wasn’t special access. These folks just lived in town. Met David Porter getting my car serviced and he invited us over to watch the Memphis state game. A wall of gold and platinum records. He explained the money was in writing. We had no writers in the band.
  11. Instead they kept awful Ben and Skin, who are the Ted Baxter’s of the situation.
  12. Huh? It’s not not like they’re 16 year olds at Taco Bell. We used to run stupid 24 hour sales in the stereo business. You get some awful customers at 3am.
  13. I went to a small college which at the time was a CIA/State/military intelligence recruiting ground. The ones that went CIA were sent to various grad schools like Georgetown or Fletcher and then never seen again. The few true polyglots were highly recruited.
  14. As awful as S4 was, it got the highest ratings of all. Remember S1-4 came out when you paid extra for HBO, now folks get it free. I haven’t paid for it in forever because of my att phone package. HBO or discovery or whoever reupped her mid season based on the ratings. They could give a shit about how bad it was.
  15. Plus his taxes which I expect are fed and state issues. Plus his liens. Plus whatever comes from his labor investigating. Miguel and wife are up the creek.
  16. Our kids live in Meeker and we get to Eischen’s a couple times a year. What an operation. He just kept adding another building and knocking thru a wall. Great fried chicken, but know it’s a huge bar not a restaurant. You buy it by the bird. He’s got fried okra, Frito pie and that’s about it. Just settle in and eat a mess of fried chicken. It’s worth a drive or detour. Cash only.
  17. I don’t have the same fond memories of the Shoneys buffet.
  18. Me and the Chimp was better than S4.
  19. The show needs a rework. It’s so predictable and it’s less fishing and more pranks and grabass.
  20. S1 was unique in TV in that the writer and director were the same person for every episode. Most shows use several of each. It gave Nic a unique position to make a seamless progression. Combined with the great acting makes for a perfect show. As much as Daddario’s scene is perfection in one perspective, the sex scene between Rust and Michele Monaghan is special as well, though she’s not nekkid.
  21. You don’t take Penix after signing Cousins. You choose a path for your team at the end of 23. If you believe you are a QB and EDGE away, then make a decision. If everything is in place plug in a veteran. Cousins with an Achilles recovery is a bit questionable, but who else you get? (Too bad they didn’t get Dak, they would have probably extended him @ huge money) Once you make your plan stick to it. Buy your vet QB, draft your EDGE, get a decent vet backup, and go. Fontanot came up with this crazy plan and sold it to dummy Blank. They end up with an expensive vet QB, missed on the first defensive pick for a day one contributor, traded a three to reach for a DT. And picked a player who won’t likely play until 2026/27 at age 27. It does no favors for Penix or cousins. It’s just stupid. Besides the issues of draft and cap management we come to the team situation. In Atlanta the fans will be screaming for Penix the second Cousins throws an INT. It could split the team. If you liked Penix that much then pass on Cousins. He was easily going to be there at 8. I think it’s stupid to think any rookie qb in this draft is perfect for a ready to win team, Penix has a learning curve and the only way to learn is to play. ATL per usual getting too cute.
  22. I’m a big Babes fan but not of the various big expansion Nashville hot chicken places. The original Hatties in Nashville will knock our dick in the dirt. In Dallas Mikes Chicken is great. In Ft Worth on south Main Jesus BBq has great honestyle family TexMex and near perfect fried chicken. We usually get a bird for the table.
  23. The original Gus’ is a shack on Us 70 in Mason TN. It’s across from Bozo’s barbecue. The original licensee is in Memphis.
  24. I’m 65 and can’t recall a three way photo that close. Ther is nothing like live racing when they make the turn at head of the stretch. Still, no athlete, horse or human, has been as dominating as Secretariat. Big Red was a special fucking horse.
