  1. Well, they understand the part of the portal where their players are frantically exiting, they just don't get the other part.
  2. But only for players at schools with a coaching change, right? So we'll be able to get players from A&M, and then any school that's in the string of dominoes after the ags hire their new coach? If so, who are they likely to hire, and which players at that school would we want?
  3. Agreed, very cool. I would hate to be one of the teams playing against Ukraine. But they're all competitors and the best way to respect them and honor them, is to play as tough as you can.
  4. he handled it perfectly in the press conference. It won't be enough to satisfy ag fans, but nothing he said then or now would prevent their anger anyway.
  5. Yeah I don't see a problem with the question being asked. And if it's true that this move has been in the works for weeks or months, then Schloss should have prepared a better answer for it. That's on him, but at the same time he was also emotional having just lost out on the national championship. As has been stated several times, there was not ever going to be an acceptable answer to that question, but I believe he could have done a little better. Beyond that, the same people that are mad at him now, would be mad at him no matter how he answered the question, so it's pretty much irrelevant.
  6. You mean, just like it got really ugly at A&M with him almost winning the national championship? Yeah I think we'd all take that.
  7. There's a tweet from 3 years ago with Schloss denying that he's leaving TCU, and then he left TCU. Did the ags crucify him as a liar and a cheat THEN? I wonder why not...
  8. Ags will just never get it. When they steal Schloss from TCU it's all fine and good, because they are righteous and deserving. When Texas steals Schloss from TAMU, we're evil and arrogant and entitled. All you can do is laugh, because Texas wins again.
  9. So John's never seen the post where he denied leaving TCU for the ags?
  10. Check the video to see which players are least excited about "sawing 'em off" and you'll know which ones are coming to Austin along with Schloss.
  11. Hmmm, I can. I felt sick to my stomach when Colt went down against Alabama, and then the rest of that game and all the next day it didn't register, it was like the game had never even begun and I was somehow waiting for them to announce a re-do or something. And that was only 4 years after winning the NC in both baseball and football.
  12. Y'all go easy on the ag players. Several of them will be in Austin next year.
  13. Ag spin incoming: Stoopid sips stole a coach from us who didn't even win the NC. Good riddance, we're going to bring in someone even better. Maybe a middlin ACC coach that'll lose everyone in the portal but bring in a bunch of real lunchpail kids from DIII. We clearly need a culture change and Coach Antelope is gonna get us there! So take that ya stoopid sips!
  14. Cool necklace. Proud papa moments for me when I discover my 14yo son and 16yo daughter have lots of Bob Schneider on their personal favorites playlists. We've listened to a lot of it as they've grown up but we listen to a ton of other stuff too and certainly never forced it on them. They just have awesome taste in music.
  15. In some ways it reminds me of Fandango, or rather Fandango reminds me of AG. And there are folks that don't like Fandando, either. But they're idiots who are terrible at life.
  16. Yeah if I were Jost I'd be laughing all the way to the bedroom.
  17. I think Zak Brown comes across pretty well on TV and in the media, I'd call him "likeable" without knowing any details beyond what a normal fan sees and hears. I disliked how he handled Ricciardo but at this point that seems like the correct decision, what are you gonna do? Other than that, fun race with lots of actual racing. Moar plz.
  18. Yup, all the ag engineers I've worked with have ranged from okay to very good. A couple of them followed sports and we traded friendly rivalry banter but none of them were psycho about it.
  19. Just wanted to report back on our trip from Austin to Fiesta, TX last week. We went ahead and followed the routes from google maps and sure enough it routed us through I10/1604. It was still messy but WAY better than last time, maybe they were doing work on the other side or something? Also, knowing which lanes to be in (there are TWO that turn left onto the road that leads to Fiesta Texas) helped us quite a bit as well. Anyway, thanks to all for the suggestions! We came back via 281, it was a nice drive, way better I suspect, than I35 would have been between 5-7 PM on a Friday...
