  1. Gonna be zero pretty soon. Only took what, 24 hours for surly to break him and watch his bitchassedness flow? It's not a record but that's pretty quick.
  2. The problem is that your shit is weak. You're not cutting it here. You're gonna have to get better, or you'll get gone. Still, if you're coming to Austin, be sure to spend a lot of money and keep it weird. Oilcan Harry's is the best bar for out-of-towners, have fun.
  3. Nah lots of losers cheat too. Texas A&M's cheated for decades and is still nothing more than an 8-4 team.
  4. Eh this current MSU team challenged the Horns for a half in Austin, and Texas is far better than the ags. They challenged Georgia in Athens and only lost by 10, and Georgia is far better than the ags.
  5. Why would you say that? Better A&M teams than this one have lost to MSU in Starkville. The ags are 1-4 in their last 5 trips there. A full decade of futility on the road against the dreaded bulldogs.
  6. Those trophies seem like they suck.
  7. See? No way they can fire him, he's a very effective coach and his team completely listened and enacted his message.

  9. I like how he's ignoring all statistical evidence and claiming that Texas' current #1 Total Defense and #1 Scoring defense "isn't as dominant as last year's." That is a bold fabrication that is worthy of only his masterful artistry. No amateur or mere mortal could pull that off.
  10. My expectation is that many of our fans will continue to demonstrate they are complete morons.
  11. Yeah, since he's been here that's really been his standard MO. The difference is, in past years he's had a defense that would allow that 90 yard drive. This year, not so much. It's so refreshing!
  12. Sounds like you'll be okay but probably not a bad idea to get to the stadium well ahead of time and beat the crowds just in case there's an issue and you have to go to will call or something. Luckily the stadium now sells overpriced beer for your waiting pleasure.
  13. Yup I had a rough experience with Stubhub maybe 5 years ago with tickets to a football game (not a UT game). Bought them 2 weeks in advance but gameday arrived and the seller still hadn't transferred. I called their Customer Service about 2 hours before kickoff and was told the seller wasn't required to transfer the tickets until something like 30 minutes before the event, despite the fact that Stubhub had accepted my money 2 weeks prior. I didn't recall that policy from the purchase page but it's entirely possible that I just overlooked it. Regardless it's a terrible policy because my plan was to get there an hour early, enter the stadium, and leisurely enjoy the club-level amenities that came with the tickets I'd already paid for. Obviously it didn't quite work out as I'd hoped. The customer service rep was trying to be as helpful as possible, had given me her direct extension so I could call if the transfer didn't occur within 30 minutes of kickoff. And, it didn't. She offered me a comp of $150 on my account for my trouble and dissatisfaction but told me there was nothing she could do to get the seller to transfer. Finally about 15 minutes before kickoff, the tickets finally transferred. We entered and got to our seats and just missed kickoff, so no great harm done but plenty of unnecessary anxiety for an experience that should have been a lot smoother. Let the buyer beware, of course. Suffice to say I've never done business with Stubhub since.
  14. Tomatillo is fine, he's fighting an uphill battle on this site full of self-proclaimed assholes but I'm sure he knows what he's gotten into. Personally I don't have anything against Georgia. Well, other than the 1984 Cotton Bowl. But that was more our fault than theirs.
  15. As I recall, that season USC and Texas went 1 and 2 wire to wire. So the first, last, and only time Texas was #1, was in the final poll. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2005_NCAA_Division_I-A_football_rankings
  16. Texas plays the #35 scoring offense of Georgia 6 days from now, but won't actually face a REAL offense until the showdown against the vaunted #50 ags at the end of November. Sure, Jan.
  17. They'll do the exact same thing after the Horns beat Georgia on Saturday.

    RIP Chuy's

Yeah Shady Grove was just an awesome place. It didn't open until 1992 so it can't really be lamented as a "loss of old Austin" but it was a fantastic place to eat, listen to music, drink beer and margaritas, and hang out, for the 3 decades it was open. Lakeview Cafe' was another great place, but that one was done in by its own management's short-sightedness when they decided to move from the hill down onto the water and become the "Lodge at Lakeview" and then a half-dozen other things that all failed to varying degrees.
  19. Sorry for partying.
  20. Lulzneither.
  21. As always with them, every accusation is a confession.
  22. 100%. Go to CDC with your issues, he really does react to fan concerns when he can. The State Fair and the City of Dallas want to keep this game, they've put a lot of money into renovations over the past 20 years and they're putting a lot more into it now. Most of the issues can be addressed with some common sense and some properly applied pressure.
  23. Mizzou only scored 10 against the ags and although they have some talent on the d-line, that's NOT a good defense. OU could certainly win that game. I also don't think all that much of LSU or Ole Miss. Those aren't guaranteed losses for the sooners, either. Honestly I think the ags might be right-- Texas really did destroy the SEC by joining.
  24. JerryWorld will never be an option, this take always cracks me up. The only thing keeping it at the Cotton Bowl is tradition. The millionaire and billionaire luxury suite owners in Austin and Norman aren't about to let the game move to Jerry's stadium where they'd be forced to kiss Jerry's ring and rent out suites from him. If this game ever leaves the Cotton Bowl, it'll go home-and-home so that Longhorn and sooner BMDs can host the biggest rivalry game in all of football, in their own suites.
  25. Man next weekend is going to be one for the ages. Formula 1, plus ESPN College Gameday and then the Georgia game Saturday night. Gonna be epic.
