The sauce for the brisket enchiladas is a pretty standard red chile gravy, but I reserve the drippings from the brisket, and use that as the base fat for when i fry the sauce.
Same thing for the smoked duck enchiladas-- smoke the duck (I like pecan for fowl), save the fat, and use it for the frying step when making the sauce.
Oh, I also save just a little bit of the drippings to introduce into the oil when I lightly fry the corn tortillas before rolling, as well.
It's probably very close to how they talk to each other in real life.
And after having watched this movie, I now know for certain I would never want to be present when those guys are talking to each other in real life.
The assumption is that the good news above regarding a potential shift in the current administration's direction, is real and actually happens. If it doesn't then this discussion is moot, regardless.
I make brisket enchiladas all the time. Every year my family has an "Enchilada-off" where we all bring a different enchilada dish, and then we sample all of the offerings and vote on the winner. One year they forbade me from bringing my brisket enchiladas because they were tired of me always winning, so I made smoked duck enchiladas instead, and whupped their asses even worse.
Anyway, yeah, brisket enchiladas are delicious and one of life's special treats.
Yeah my teenagers are all over the apps. There's always a deal somewhere. Which is great because they eat like fiends and usually pay for it themselves instead of taking me up on my offer of the aforementioned homemade green bell pepper and onion welfare burger on Wonder bread.
Yeah, watched it last night and had the exact same reaction. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't very good either. Definitely glad I waited for it to hit D+ streaming.
It's been a while.
Unfortunately it's not going to be nearly enough to make much of a dent in LT. We need streamflows up in the 10K-20K range to get rises that are more than a few inches. The San Saba should help out LB over the next couple of days.
Still, a little bit is better than nada.
I've never owned one but I've always really liked them. Scamp is a similar trailer, based in Minnesota. They're so small and light, they're fairly popular as a towable trailer in the Jeep community.
