  1. Yeah Ron Swanson is a main character. THIS is my favorite side character on Parks and Rec but there are several great ones:
  2. GDit I said "Good day, sir!" to this thread weeks ago. And yet here we are.

It's a chicks getting cocktails Tex-Mex kind of place. The food is okay, but it's definitely drinks and happy hour gringo Mexican.
  4. I dare 'em to try it. Longhorn fans will rain down such an unholy hell of bottles and half-empty nacho boats unto the field, that it will be impossible to resume play. Television sets will turn off all around the world, and Disney will lose enormous ratings.

Ahh my apologies, clearly you're more of a cauliflower taco kind of guy. The good news is, that one only sets you back 8 bucks, and it comes with pine nuts!!!
  6. Isn't Missouri on their 8th string QB or something? I wonder what Looch has to say about the huge string of luck they've had this year, playing the worst SEC schedule ever, against a bunch of backup scrubs?

I've had Nixta, and it's delicious for sure. But I do find it hilarious that the assholes of surly jump all over a place like Torchy's for being gringo tacos with the high prices and non-traditional fillings, but are AOK with summer squash and duck confit tacos that cost $10 each...

    Warranty schmarranty.
  9. New Mexican food is great. Tex-Mex is great. The dipshit above who suggested Tex-Mex is not great, is wrong. The End.
  10. Coors Banquet in the gold can. It's what my dad drank.
  11. I mean, it's cheaper than traveling to Oaxaca and getting the same dishes and drinks... Anyway, I'm still a fan of Fonda, it's great for date night or taking out of town guests.
  12. Can't stand the flavor of corn in the actual chili. Don't like it in beer, either. With cornbread or fritos is completely different, it's not integrated.
  13. I actually don't like the flavor of masa in chili, which is another reason I prefer to use whole rehydrated chiles for both depth of flavor, and natural thickening agency.
  14. Not in the past couple of years. They just pick one of them lately and run it all month. I had the October TOTM, the Japanese-inspired one called Ronin, and it was really tasty. Maybe a little smaller but not by a ton. I mean, there are only so many sized of store-bought tortillas to choose from...

    RIP to Scott Wilson
  16. Ha! No, just a set-top antenna, or one that you can pin to the wall. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Digital-Signal-Indoor-Leaf-Flat-TV-Antenna-For-HDTV-DTV-HD-VHF-UHF-FM-AM-FTA/816951170?classType=VARIANT&from=/search If you're in the middle of an urban area with good signal from your ABC affiliate, then a super-cheap one like this is fine. If you're further out, then you might want one that is powered. They all have a coax cable that goes into your TV's coax input, and the powered ones will also probably have a USB power cable that plugs into a USB port on the back of your TV, or you could always power it with an extension cord from a wall plug.
  17. Antenna is super easy. Do you have access to the back of your TV? Do you live in a populated area? If you don't still have one, you can get one from Walmart for $20 or less. The added bonus is that over-the-air HD signals look a lot better than cable, satellite, or fiber optic ones, because they're less compressed. I dug up my old OTA antenna two months ago when they were going through this same bullshit before the Ohio State game, and I've kept it hooked up and been watching all OTA sports using the antenna instead of cable or ISP. So much better.
  18. It's never going to be warm again.
  19. Well, the game is on ABC over the air, so...
  20. Wait, I thought we lost 3-2 in College Station last year? Oh heck just checked and we played them twice. The loss was in Austin. Why the heck did we play several teams twice last year, and not this year?
  21. Sucks that it happened, but all things considered, the timing works out pretty well. Not supposed to get back into the 80s until... Wednesday!
