  1. Why else would I go to a Husky message board? I mean, I'm not the type that goes to opponent's message boards to talk about anything, anyway. But if I were, then I'd clearly only be concerned with an upcoming game against the Huskies, not building a relationship and becoming BFFs with the locals, you know what I mean? Similar to why you're here, I'd imagine? That is, unless one of thujone's dick pics really grabbed your attention and made you want to stay-- which HAS happened in the past. I think that's why most of our regular Sooner posters are still here. Anyway, at least two of you aren't complete morons. So, thanks.
  2. So, ALL of your UW message boards are full of nothing but trolls, trash, and idiots?? What a beating. Anyway, thanks to you and husky97 for the intelligent discourse, anyway.
  3. If they made an SUV with > 9,200 lb tow rating I'd gladly buy it. I much, MUCH prefer traveling and towing with an SUV over a pickup. As much as I like my truck, I'd never have even considered it if they still made 3/4 ton Suburbans. Alas, they do not. So I had to get a pickup. And when I'm traveling with the family and we're NOT towing, I need dry storage in the bed.
  4. No mistakes in the order? Are you certain you're not actually at a Chick fil A instead?
  5. Ags were 7-8 plays away from almost looking respectable against Miami. Nevermind the rest of the season.
  6. I know it's not really what you're asking, but there is some SCIENCE indicating that canned tomato products have some health benefits compared to fresh... https://www.foodnetwork.com/healthyeats/healthy-tips/2010/08/canned-tomatoes-good-or-bad
  7. Sounds like maybe not what you're going for, but I smoke pork tenderloin all the time, and it's a staple in our Christmas Eve meal. The nice thing is it's a small cut so you can make as many, or as few, as you like, depending on the size of your crowd. And of course it's relatively inexpensive but doesn't taste like it. It's super lean of course, so you only cook it to about 140 and let the carryover take it a bit higher. Best part is it takes no more than a couple of hours, sometimes only an hour depending on length and girth (yeah, yeah). To dress it up, pair it with a sweet-hot peach mustard chutney, or dress it down and serve with jalapeno jelly. Both go really really well with the pork.
  8. I mean, it's obviously a bit, from more than one of them. If you don't like the bit, just crowdsource. But feeding trolls is verboten.
  9. It's not really an SEC battery in the back, it's merely a simple act of leveling the playing field. We've been at a disadvantage ever since ESPN and the national mediots decided a couple of decades ago to act like even the lowliest SEC team was like a rolling ball of flaming butcher knives wrapped in titanium razor wire. Texas joining the SEC just eliminates that disadvantage. The real advantage, is NIL, and the fact that Texas is now unleashed to operate freely in the monetary space.
  10. secrant is definitely beneath us. They can sleep sound in the knowledge that the vast majority of Longhorn fans will never bother posting there. The bad news, for them, is that they'll probably get some of the really dumb folks from orangebloods. They should fit in perfectly.
  11. Live Oak is having a Sugar Bowl watch party in their taproom on 1/1.
  12. Yup. Looking back, if the ags hadn't leaked the news to the press whilst trying to blow up the deal, then Texas might have been able to get more behind-the-scenes work done quietly, and might have been in the SEC a year earlier. Also, the TX/OU to the SEC news is what put the expanded playoff discussion on hold, so if that news hadn't been leaked, we might be starting the 12-team playoff this year. Either way, or both ways, the ags leaking the news, is really what kept FSU out of the playoffs this year. FSU fans can send their sternly worded notes to College Station.
  13. With computer aided design and modeling, and potentially generative AI, just imagine the innovation that the teams would be capable of today, if the technical regulations weren't so strict and prescriptive.
  14. If nothing else, the Florida graphic should have tipped folks off...
  15. Hmmm, and I look at the Alabama game in Tuscaloosa, and the Washington game at neutral-site Sugar Bowl, and I wonder what one thing will be true for both of those games, that wasn't true in ALL other games this season, where our All-American interior defensive line seemingly struggled to generate pressure...? I'm expecting a feast on 1/1.
  16. 95% of the time, these bits are staged every time?
  17. I know the ags chickened out a couple of years ago, but at the time they blamed COVID which was pretty much a get out of jail free card. I'd be very surprised if they were allowed to do so again, it would be considered a breach of contract between the SEC and the bowl games, for them to opt out. The SEC already doesn't have enough bowl-eligible teams to fulfil its quota, I think it's highly unlikely they'd allow A&M to skip one again, and cost the conference money.
  18. Yeah it's definitely not the same with two teenagers, as it was at ages 4 and 6. On the bright side, I don't have to stay up all night assembling bicycles plus I sleep in as late as I want, and I'm still up before the kids.
  19. Ferrari livery is like Texas or Alabama football uniforms. It's not going to be flashy or edgy. It's beautiful in its simplicity. Although Ferrari's livery can definitely get screwed up when they try to get too cute, like having too much white, not enough black, or putting too much "flair" on the car. Just like our Texas uniforms start to look worse when we have too much flair on them.
  20. Pretty sure Clark mentioned that the pool construction wouldn't break ground until the ground thawed. I assume the down payment was to ensure he was first in line or early in the process. As for flying everyone back for the pool christening, well, that's just the kind of dumb thing Clark Griswold tends to say in the moment. But I'm hoping he came to his senses and limited it to a small gathering consisting solely of his wife Ellen, and Mary the sales girl.
  21. There are 640 fluid ounces in five gallons, so to get your 5 gallons of chili, just go out and buy 6 of these big boys, throw 'em in a pot and warm it up, and call it a day.
