  1. Yup Brazil is fun. I'm not much of a fan of the track in Mexico, although I'm glad there's a race there, for all of the deserving fans.
  2. Sorry, wasn't trying to be insulting, it's just that everything you said was very typical of an F1 weekend at COTA and yet you seemed surprised about it, so I assumed you were new to it. Exactly this. Of course, it doesn't HAVE to be. I'm a huge F1 fan and a huge fan of F1 racing at COTA despite its lumps, so I've found a way that works for me where I can spend the entire weekend out there, and not deal with all the bullshit.
  3. Come on, you know you have to use his full name when referencing him...
  4. And another COTA cherry popped. Welcome to the team.
  5. Crap you beat me to it, I was just coming here to post that.
  6. It's pretty tough to get a screenshot of a Houston offensive play where that WASN'T happening to at least one Texas defnender, and oftentimes 2 or 3 at a time. What a total crock of shit that game was.
  7. I still haven't had a chance to watch the pre-race walk from the USGP, did anything interesting happen, any rude celebrities?
  8. I don't know, we have the exact same kind of debates about Dallas-Houston on UT message boards as well.
  9. We haven't had the wobble. My brother did on his 2014 JKU. But that Jeep also had a 3" aftermarket lift on it so the dealer/factory guys said they couldn't do anything about it. He took it to a Jeep/offroad specific shop and they were able to fix it with no problems. Not sure what they did but I could ask if you're interested.
  10. Does anyone have a video capture of the play where the dude ripped off the helmet? At the time, it looked to me like he also swung at the head, before ripping off the helmet.
  11. Whoever has the most posts on IPIHB is the most likely candidate.
  12. Oh I'm sure that section was left intentionally empty. The stands were probably condemned.
  13. I assumed it was generated from ChatGPT with a few selected prompts.
  14. Man that's tough. On a day when likely a lot more would have failed, and on the sprint weekend, seems like it should be all or nothing. You either check everyone or you let it go. Anyway, at least the race was pretty fun, poor strategy from Ferrari aside. Oh and the crappy performance of Aston Martin and Fred's retirement aside. Actually, turns out all my guys struggled. Eff that race.
  15. For anyone living in Austin, the Puma outlet store in Round Rock always has a lot of Ferrari and Merc gear, for even less than you find online.
  16. Haas hats were only $70, ha! Yesterday was hot AF. Hottest F1 day I can recall out here. I do remember that 2014 WEC (?) race and it was hotter but not by much. As has been mentioned, unbelievably long lines at the water stations. There have been years when those went almost completely unused. Anyway, whoever said it looked empty back upthread, nope. Just as crowded on Friday afternoon as last year, which is WAY more crowded than Fridays were before the pandemic, excluding the first couple of years. This morning is lovely of course, and temps should be cooler with more clouds today. 91 and cloudy will feel awesome compared to yesterday. Anyway, qualy was fun, Go Ferrari, everyone around me cheered loudly when Max's lap time got deleted. Good times.
  17. Yup just a tablespoon of paprika for me as well, per 3-4 lbs. I use reconstituted chiles and make more than I need, blend the slurry in the Vitamix and then add to taste through the early stages of the cook. Any leftover you can freeze just fine and use for more chili later.
  18. You could also use lots of paprika!
  19. Good morning surly assholes, I'm about to head in for some F1 Academy. Feels amazing outside right now, but don't worry about me and the heat later this afternoon, I'll be in the lovely air conditioning of Velocity Lounge.
  20. Dude you can eat whatever you like, but you clearly can't read the thread title.
  21. All those New Orleans artists and street musicians have Philosophy PhD's, I assumed everyone knew that?
  22. Nice. Except they shoulda slow-mo'd him cresting the rise with the golden sunset and giant Texas flag blowing in the breeze, as the lead guitar kicks in.
  23. Ok well at least now it's all settled and won't ever need to be discussed again...
