  1. John Mackovic would think that was awesome, and they'd all end up at WR by the end of their first summer drills.
  2. Man I could never move to somewhere that has more winter than Austin. Somewhere in the tropics is in my future, ideally.
  3. Yeah Schumi was always one of my favorites so when he went to Ferrari it was like a dream come true for me. But, I did have to hold my nose whilst rooting for Seb. To be fair, Seb himself became more tolerable over the years, just as Lewis has, and maybe Max has, at least a little bit. Maturity takes time and it's probably not easy to gain humility when you're making millions, banging models, and constantly being told you're the best.
  4. The great news is, no matter how good their recruiting ranking might be, we know the ags will squander it and go 8-4 (TM).
  5. It's never going to stop raining.
  6. Lulzno But as usual sarcasm is completely lost on this board. Even so, I do miss Dart Bowl which was also excellent.
  7. Well the majority of them have learned all they know about roster building from Sumlin, Jimbo, and the Elk. So of course they know absolutely nothing about how roster building works. Oh and there's a special place in hell for dumbshits who utter the phrase "the math ain't mathin'."
  8. Now I know you're just making those up.
  9. A couple of nights ago I made the creamy jalapeno shrimp soup mentioned above. It was a huge hit, even my picky-eating daughter loved it. No pics. Of picky daughter, or soup.
  10. Why? It's an extremely common term, been around as long as I've been alive and eating them. It dates back to the 50s at least.
  11. Roy Walley wants in on this action.
  12. People's Front of Nigeria?
  13. I actively loathe Bob Dylan music but thought this was an excellent movie. Chalamet was a great casting. Biggest problem I had with his performance, is that he sounded like Bob Dylan singing.
  14. Yeah I assume it's a matter of rights to the music. There are different levels of licensing, and if short-term more limited licenses were originally purchased for the initial airing of a television show, they might not apply later in time when a show is released for syndication. Streaming has made it even more complex, to the point where in some older shows, the original background music has been replaced with cheaper, generic tunes.
  15. The B12 broke up because of Texas? The B12 is still around, and features several programs better than A&M. And the SWC disintegrating because A&M "became dominant" and Texas didn't like it is... well, it's a take, I guess.
  16. Lucy never eats December snowflakes and I never eat January crawfish.
  17. See? The Elk is installing C-U-L-T-U-R-E ya stoopid sip!
  18. My whitey suburban folks were actually great cooks in the 70s, my dad grew up in west Texas and his cooking was always heavily influenced by Mexican and New Mexican food. His stacked enchiladas with red chimayo and fried eggs on top are absolutely slammin, and I grew up eating chorizo and scrambled eggs with diced serranos, and a bunch of other great food. We also owned a BBQ restaurant and his brisket and ribs are absolutely amazing. So using a variety of seasoning was common for my parents. Even so, the one main staple that they leaned on heavily, especially for grilled foods, was the Lawry's Seasoned Salt. Don't get me wrong, I like it and always have some in the cupboard. But man, pretty much anything grilled or pan-fried or sauteed, was just doused in that stuff.
  19. Meanwhile immamac and blacklab:
  20. Note-- Reading surlyhorns does NOT constitute counseling. If anything it is likely to worsen your condition. Honestly, anyone who posts on this site should probably seek large amounts of professional help.
  21. Yup, it's not journalism, it's entertainment. If the "entertainment" is annoying enough and people stop tuning in, they'll be forced to make a change. Until then, you'll get ol' Cesspool calling Ohio State games, and you'll like it.
  22. Lulz. They wish.
  23. Yup, I had near-daily shipments from them when I was restoring my vintage Airstream. They've got just about everything.
