  1. UCLA has some type of weird sex tent shit going on.
  2. Communists are almost always fucking ugly. It’s part of their aesthetic. If you’re physically attractive there’s too much upward mobility available to you to get sucked into it.
  3. Whoever it is, I don’t think it’s a coincidence that our last summer of huge organized protests was the last Presidential election year.
  4. You’re right. A total sham company. I’ve heard he’s also a terrible businessman. Several people here know better than him. Captain=Looch
  5. Hard to think of a single transaction that will have a bigger impact than Elon’s purchase of Twitter.
  6. Interesting possibility. I wonder if there’s an equivalent to the Epps guy that got off easy Jan 6th after telling people to go to the Capitol? Is there some Antifa looking guy who was like, “We should all bring our tents and wear masks!”?
  7. I hate the social media era. This is likely true, but maybe not. It’s so easy to fake things and send them everywhere. Feels like we’re being whipped up into a frenzy for some unknown ends. I’m guessing this ends in some bill encroaching on free speech in some way.
  8. Bet they stayed off the fucking grass!
  9. Fitting that whoever wrote that obviously misspelled hygiene. Someone caught it and pointed it out to them. It was then corrected. Also, this lol
  10. Ooh now let’s throw a Farm Bill log on the fire. Before anyone complains this will pass with support from both sides™️
  11. Merkins In times past, prices would rise and prices would fall. It’s in the modern world that they only go up. Interesting to think of the implications.
  12. Do you think it has nothing to do with protests “sticking” and escalating on campuses around the country? I think Hartzell didn’t want the hassle, embarrassment and ultimately danger of a potential tent city of militant protestors established on campus. Columbia is a bit of a vindication for him honestly. Hands off and disregarding the rules leads to fucked up shit happening. Maybe those guys know to follow the rules around protesting? I have no idea but they do wear nice, pressed khakis with a tucked in polo.
  13. Exactly. I’m sure a sizable percentage of the participants saw what happened at Columbia last night and thought, oh cool. You should go join them. This obviously means a lot to you. We could use some boots on the ground reporting.
  14. If I knew Hartzell I would recommend he not do that. I must’ve missed the neonazi encampment on campus.
  15. I agree with you, but have a feeling we disagree on what qualifies. One man’s dumb authoritarian bullshit rules is another man’s “law and order” or even “greater good”.
  16. Things are progressing nicely in NYC.
  17. Buttcoins would stop going up if this was addressed. I see it as highly unlikely in part because of responses like yours. I say sure let’s raise tax revenue to historical highs, what about spending? You say hey hey hey let’s do a balanced approach, while avoiding the question.
  18. Sure, let’s raise taxes. As I posted before, you can maybe milk another $500B out. That still leaves a $1.2T deficit last year if you did that. So that leaves spending cuts. Which would you suggest? Remember the freak out and horror of the sequester? And that was not much in the grand scheme of things. Well these credible economist and policy makers don’t seem to have a seat at the table of policy making. As far as the arguing, it really comes down to those who favor Keynesian policies and centralized planning vs the opposite. There’s some fraying at the edges of the current financial system based on the former. If that dogma fails dramatically, then it could/should lead people to question a lot. That’s troubling to them.
