  1. I didn't realize a free-to-access board about... a frankly weird subculture (that I enjoy and indulge in)... boiled down to a dick-measuring contest. Cool.
  2. So sue me, good god. Y'all taking this way too seriously. First of, all, with regard to Moore, we've been told for almost 2 years that "he's going to end up at Texas, just wait...shhh just wait..." Then we got insiders all over the boards (not just here) claiming our NIL is unmatched and that "Sark will get whatever WR he wants" -- all untrue. I'm just a disappointed fan. I ask a simple question, how true are the claims about our unmatched recruiting system? But then "exceptions" keep popping up every week. Oh we're the best...but tOSU is also the best. Oh but wait Oregon is the best when they want to. Oh wait LSU is poor and bankrupt they can't possibly win "NIL recruitments" and then they do.
  3. Unbelievable. I've given more than $100k to this university so fuck off.
  4. What if I was? Am I not able to be a valid fan if I'm not making six figs? Awww does the online critique of NIL for a bunch of 18 year olds hurt your feelings? wahhh wahh wahh. The internet is truly the place of total scumbags who only criticize. What a waste of time.
  5. About as much as your mom has. Fuck off with this bullshit.
  6. Exactly. We're being fed lies about NIL en masse, even about our program, but especially about programs we hate (LSU being one). However, here it's possible his relationship with Corey Raymond did matter since he's a Florida kid and Raymond just spent some time there.
  7. Hopefully we can start blowing more teams out and get these guys some reps to see who shines. That'll be fun. Remember when we'd see Johnny Brooks break out during his limited reps? Just knew that guy was going to do well when he got his shot. Same with Bijan during The Herman Year, even though we all knew he was going to be good, of course.
  8. Ffffrancais, Lockett, Johnson would still be a great haul. Knowing this staff, they'll find a way to locate a 4th receiver, probably Parker Livingstone's brother or something. I'm really curious what happens with last year's four-some at WR + Niblett. We know Wingo is very likely a high performing absolute stud. But what happens with the others? Seems like they took some lotto tickets, which could be fun. Butler got some nice reps in the Spring Game if I remember? Everyone seems pretty high on him being a contributor down the road.
  9. Having lived in South Asia for a large chunk of my life, but not ever having spent much time in Houston, this seems like a really strange comparison... but now I'm going to use this as an insult to my H-town friends.
  10. If we keep feeding Sydir, can he count as two DTs?
  11. Why would anyone talk about politics when we can talk about all the DTs we're going to scramble for in November? Actually that's a good question. Anyone got any leads on potential late risers we might look at?
  12. Serious question: Is Oregon directly targeting us? Or is it just "The Samples Effect" that brings them into Texas? I know they've done ok here before with bagmen but... Random conclusion: This again points to how overrated our recruiting efforts are since we cannot consistently lock down Texas. I understand losing some traditionally to OU (success on the field) and Aggy occasionally ($$ and proximity) but between Alabama during the Saban years, Bucky Buckeye since Urban, LSU and the waves of Katrina kids, and now Oregon it just feels like something is missing from our program. My stupid guess is that the ATX has gotten too big and annoying to deal with for some. The fact that Aggy is even recruiting at a decent tick right now (better than us? Maybe) might point to that. Elko has no skins on the wall as a HC (mediocre at Duke only) and they're constantly a laughing stock culturally. I hate the "late flip" mentality of our last three coaches. Mack's "commit early" approach also sucked at the end, but part of that was laziness in evaluations.
  13. If we had taken Keelon, would that have helped with Moore? I know one thought last year was that we took Lacey to help with Ryan Williams, which was another massive "death star" failure despite the expectations.
