  1. Yep it's true I can't process a prescription on your insurance without a valid order. What your insurance is asking me to do is called a "test claim" and they're highly discouraged in the industry. Whoever you spoke with is a bozo. But I gotta say something about point 2, I never realized how much I spoil my patients until I did an amateur investigation on a bunch of pharmacies in Texas. I won't bore with the reason why I was doing this investigation/research but I was really shocked at how some of the chains are resistant to giving prices over the phone to patients who don't have insurance. I called a Kroger in Houston and asked for the price of 90 days of sertraline 50mg. This was the gist of our conversation Me: hi I have a prescription for 90 pills of sertraline 50mg. How much would that be at your pharmacy? Kroger: are you a patient here? Me: no. Kroger: are you local? Me: Yes I just moved here (actually not really I'm in Dallas but what the hell does that have to do with anything?) Kroger: you'd need to call your insurance for the price Me: I don't have insurance I just wanted to know your cash price. Kroger: Do you have the goodrx app? You can just look it up on there Me: I don't have a smartphone. But I don't want the goodrx price, I want your price. Kroger: Well I don't know what to tell you. I would need a prescription first before I can tell you the price. Bizarre. I do prescriptions all day every day for patients without insurance and I can give them a price with no issue. Kroger can't do what I do? Seriously?
  2. Oregon being in the top 10 is ridiculous.
  3. Yall are gonna have such a great time. I haven't been to Lexington in a few years but it's a really neat town. The area southwest of their basketball arena is mostly bars, restaurants, and old school homes. Woodford Reserve distillery is a great visit if you can make time for it. It's only 30 minutes away from Lexington. Even if the tours are booked up, the drive around the area is worth it. Horse farms, beautiful trees, rolling hills, just lovely country.
  4. I miss when flashing your brights used to mean police up ahead.
  5. If OU starts Michael Hawkins they probably win this game but for whatever reason they're obsessed with Mateer. Arch took a bunch of shit from people for occasionally throwing sidearm yet Mateer does nothing but throw sidearm passes. OU is such a garbage ass team. Just imagine how bad Auburn must be to have lost to these clowns.
  6. Lmao they made Powell black out the Poncho logo on his shirt
  7. October 12th is technically tomorrow lol
  8. ALCS game 1 is tomorrow night lol
  9. Call me crazy but that bodycam footage doesn't change anything. He may not have been directly involved in the head on collision but he's clearly the reason why the chain of events happened. Even if the highway patrolman wasn't coaching the witness (he clearly was) and you take the witness at face value, he lightly taps the brakes because he sees a green car driving erratically in his lane. What am I missing?
  10. Manning may not work his way into being drafted. I felt the same way about Quinn Ewers after his 2023 season but that year vs this year's Manning it's like night and day.
  11. NIL has changed college football forever. While I don't think Arch should be benched, he needs to understand that he's being paid to perform in moments like this. He knows that. Or at least I hope he knows that.
  12. October wedding number one is tomorrow. Iowa in the middle of fucking nowhere. And the wife is making us stay at the same hotel as her parents. 2 star review on Google. Thank god the weddings in the next two weeks are on Sunday.
  13. Anyone pulled the trigger on any of the BCKR gear being advertised?
  14. WTF Now I have to wonder why all these articles last year mentioned "record breaking attendance".
  15. I don't trust a word that social media freak/alleged home wrecker has to say. He'll do anything for attention. Having said that, I was there this weekend and noticed it was a bit light. I think the complaints about high prices are just that: complaints rather than objections. Last year the fair had its highest attendance of all time and prices were steady as far as I could tell. We'll get a better picture of fair attendance during the shootout and final weekend of the fair as they're the busiest.
  16. I hope yall got to hear Jerry Jones justify the Parsons trade while sounding like an out of touch old man. This franchise is totally fucked.
  17. Penn State's white out game is the most fraudulent tradition in college football.

Bob's on Lemmon is my number one. Pappas Bros is really good too but I just love the vibes at Bob's. Can't really go wrong with either one.
  19. Buddy of mine went to Pecan Lodge against my recommendations and holy shit BBQ prices are out of control. They're charging $155 for the trough (their version of a sampler platter) that feeds 4-5 people. Used to be $75. Their desserts are $8 and the cookies are $4. Used to be $3.75 and the cookies $1. What the fuck!
  20. I have a solo 401k but it's only purpose was to roll over funds that I got from an employer SEP IRA. Doing that allows me to do the backdoor roth IRA tax free.
