  1. Oral minoxidil has been on the market for decades. Tried it a few years ago and didn't do a damn thing for me. My bald spot is so bad that I'm set to shave my head but I'm also not in shape. Being in your 30s is fun!
  2. Austin sports media is hot garbage. I miss Charlie Strong because he would always call Kirk Bohls "Kurt" and the bitch just had to sit there and take it week after week.

    Insulin

California manufacturing their own insulin is one hell of a market disruption and a much better alternative to a copay cap. The $35/mo cap looks good on paper but it's nothing more than a cost shift to the plan sponsor. The PBM is not going to willingly eat that cost even though they get kickbacks on the list price from Sanofi, Eli Lilly, and the other manufacturers. Plan sponsors already pay below acquisition for brand name drugs and it's one of the reasons why we're dropping TRICARE at the end of the year. My patients love the dirt cheap copays but I can't subsidize them at the same time they use a health plan funded by the government that refuses to tell the pharmacy the source of their price tables on the basis that it's proprietary. Here's an example I can use to relate what I'm talking about. Let's say you own a home and you have a major foundation issue. Your home insurance company says they'll cover it but completed repairs can only be authorized at their contractor negotiated price of $2,000. You talk to every contractor in your zip code and the ones around it and they're all telling you that this repair is minimum $15,000. You call the insurance company to ask them where you can find this contractor who will do it for $2,000 and they tell you "Sorry, that's proprietary information. You'll just have to keep searching for that contractor we negotiated with. He's out there somewhere!". Health plans won't even give us the names of wholesalers where they contracted with to get medication prices. They don't have to give us their contract terms but they won't even give us the name of the companies where they derived this price list from. It's one of the reasons why I love the Cost Plus/Blueberry Pharmacy model. The price at the point of sale is the price of the drug. No kickbacks, no negotiated rebates, none of that stuff. If California ends up doing something like that, there will be people begging to get involved whether as a patient or a provider.
  5. I wood definitely vote for her in the next erection.
  6. Strange comment since suburban communities often fight density due to fear of dropping property values. If you're right about upzoning then why is multifamily development such a hard sell outside of major metros?
  7. Probably the headline of the day until the JD news broke. He's not having that bad of a year so the move surprises me.
  8. They are a normal t shirt fit. I normally wear XL shirts but Columbia brand fishing shirts are L. My poncho shirts are all XL and fit great
  9. Sorry this is so late. I've always heard about these lists from the local bourbon groups but I got to hear about it from a Specs employee. I was in the bourbon aisle at the Specs in Terrell when this guy comes up to me and starts talking about McKenna. Just randomly says "hey I'm not getting the mckenna". Okay bud I'm also not buying Patron so who the fuck are you and why are you talking to me? I get what I'm looking for, walk to the register, and that same guy is talking to an employee. She's talking about adding this guy to her list so when allocated drops happen they'll be the first to know. Evidently this guy confused me for being on this list. At this point I'm just ready to drop my enjoyment of bourbon. I'm not going to pay $500 over MSRP at secondary, wait in a line at Specs that starts at 7am, or make buddy buddy with a liquor store worker just to get something that used to collect dust on the shelf a few years ago.
  10. We went there twice for middle school band competition. Perform some songs, go have lunch, ride in the back of the little dipper so you can throw it all up, and then hang out in a paddle boat while trying to sink your competition into the lake.
  11. It's just so fucking cruel to be a Longhorn in Dallas. Tonight is UT night at the ballpark and the logo is upside down on the underside of the brim. I can't fucking wear this shit!
  12. I've never seen anything like this before.
  13. If the rumor is true then who gets the boot? Ben and Skin drop an hour? Russ Martin (rip) show disappears?
  14. Poncho Outdoor just restocked their burnt orange fishing shirts in short and long sleeve. Very comfortable shirts. If you sweat, it'll show. That's the only downside to their brand
  15. The fire hose is all the way in Cale's mouth
  16. Giving Interstellar a shot today. Number 2 on the Texas Monthly list so it must be good
  17. Will this end brand names being enforced on the PBM formulary? It's bullshit that they force me to dispense expensive brand name drugs when the cheaper generic is on the market
  18. I don't feel bad for Alex. Not one bit. He's a great example of the proverbial dog catches car. Spent all day every day talking shit about Republicans and Democrats for being demons and part of the new world order. He'd always latch onto a candidate that shared similar beliefs but had absolutely no shot at the party nom like Ron Paul. Decides to latch onto Donald Trump and what do you know he wins the party nomination and the general election. All those years talking about how he's gonna stop the genocidal technocrats and his guy is in the White House. What does he do? Goes into meltdown mode. What a disaster.
  19. I'm still blown away that InfoWars was pulling in $800k a day at one point. Alex really makes it seem like no one can find his show anymore and he's one bad revenue day away from having to "kneel to the devil worshipping globalists". Hell if this is what cancel culture is like then cancel my ass right now!
  20. A year and a half into CPAP therapy and I've gained 15 pounds. At first I started to feel good but now I'm not seeing any benefit. I'm waking up exhausted whether I use the machine or not. My sleep doc said nothing from the machine is indicating air leakage or pressures not in range. My biggest concern is the weight. I've never been 235 and as the weeks go by I'm freaked out I might hit 240 (a personal record).
