  1. What is it you’re trying to say, Buzz? Heh.
  2. Read my post from yesterday. Bill Baugh. Must be Phil’s brother. Phil, Bill, 220, 221, whatever it takes...
  3. Maybe the dog. Don’t judge. This thread hits me right in the surls.
  4. Damn, you’re older than my brother. I wasn’t sure that was possible. Belated Happy Birthday!
  5. But don’t do the latter at your own wedding.
  6. Greatest. Idea. EVAR. The band and pegging the maid of honor.
  7. Bill Fucking Baugh. That’s a name I’ve not heard since... Go to Bird’s and get a badass crew cut like that first and you’ll take it to 11.
  8. Imma bid ‘bout tree fiddy.
  9. I can handle looking at the 32K and 12K guitars. It’s the ones that are 4K that make me nervous...
  10. Eh, I do the curlies sometimes too. I’ll allow it.
  11. The richness of the finish on that Paul is spectacular.
  12. Music Man over Fender. Fender over Sterling. G&L’s are an excellent option. Pickup configuration in order of preference: Music Man dual Fender P/J Fender P bass G&L dual Fender J bass Also consider a Korean Spector Legend 5. Fabulous instrument. Can be had in a P/J active configuration or dual HB active. Well balanced, light and infinitely playable.
  13. That’s because young Mr. King is a bonafide freak of nature. But I get where you’re coming from.
  14. It’s like some of you guys have never seen Fight Club...
  15. Deej, That Elder's React vid was awesome. My youngest, the drummer, is a huge Zep/Bonzo fan (I steered him in that direction as soon as he picked up the sticks. You're welcome.) and has been pushing GVF on me. The kid has pipes and they've got a good groove but their songs are weak and derivative. But, then, they're really young. They do have promise. I don't know if I can forgive those folks for not knowing The Crunge. As a bassist it's been a favorite for a looooong time.
  16. Damn. noharleyyet strolls in here with the big swingin’ dick and starts slapping everybody around with it. Impressive. Great pic, AUTF. Just awesome.
  17. I’ll add that if there is any cracking in the body or bracing it may indeed be a good idea to have that inspected. While it may not be one of the more valuable examples it’s still a Martin and it obviously has a great deal of sentimental value to you.
  18. PhD, I’d be more concerned with fret wear on a guitar that age. The finish issues are all patina to me and many others. There are several guys on here that have recs for Martin luthiers and have had older pieces restored. I say “pieces” because a couple of them are museum quality. Maybe consult with them about the direction you want to pursue.
  19. Great dude. Engaged everyone that posted in his threads. Very eclectic tastes much like myself. That avatar tho. Made me dizzy. I’d risk it to see him post again.
  20. “Take whatever lies aheadThe good with the bad and leave the rest” Son Volt, Catching On
  21. @Chad, hahahaha. I still have the plastic film on the Firebird. I’ve long since abandoned the idea of reselling it. Well, everything’s for sale. Except my mom. We lost her in ‘79. PhD, I should’ve negged you for holding out. Welcome to the thread, brother! CTC2, tommyleejonesnocountry.jpg
  22. That shit won’t fly anymore. There’s rep on Tapa. Nice try, bro.
