  1. MMJ was in damn fine form Friday night. I was pretty "meh" about my first visit to the Moody Amphitheater (Gary Clark Jr) but I enjoyed it last night. Better beer selection didn't hurt. Parking was no issue--Mrs. Homebrew is retired staff and those parking benefits are pretty damn sweet.
  2. MMJ tonight. Pumped.
  3. Good info here: https://www.greatamericaneclipse.com I'm told that damn near anywhere touristy in the paths are planning events.
  4. A porto at Bonnaroo the last night of the fest. They just decided to quit "servicing" them. A spike of poo was poking above the rim.
  5. Sling here as well. It's one of the few ways to get the LHN outside of a traditional "cable" package. So far so good.
  6. Same sitch here (old and new section). The tailgate, kegs, and projector are looking mighty inviting indeed.
  7. Yep, getting moved from Section 16 to Section 34. Ugh. 16 was bad, 34 is worse. They're comps (Mrs. Elejefeweizen worked in Bellmont). Can't complain too much, so I'l aspire to complain exactly the correct amount.
  8. Perhaps my favorite live act. Saw both shows at the Scoot Inn last November before the Stones' show at COTA. Ouch. My head. If you're into that sort of thing archive.org is chock full of DBT live shows. https://archive.org/details/Drive-ByTruckers
  9. https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutter/reviews/best-coffee-maker/ OXO Barista Brain here for about 5 years. It makes a damn fine cup of coffee.
  10. Yeah, Vidgo appears to have "partnered" with Stremium to offer some DVR capability. https://www.stremium.com
  11. The best I can tell, the only streaming services offering the LHN are Vidgo and Sling.
  12. Surlies! Help a brother out. What's the cheapest streaming route to receive and record/DVR the LHN? On U-Verse now and simply can't stand to give AT&T my $$ any longer.
  13. This seems relevant. https://recorder.maricopa.gov/justthefacts/pdf/Correcting The Record - January 2022 Report.pdf
  14. The in-laws live in Concho county on Lake Ivie.
  15. Replying to myself: Ghost Hounds
  16. Is there an opening act for the COTA show? If so, who?
  17. The Brazos garage is closer, but you'll get caught up in post-game traffic nonsense.
  18. AT&T Conference Center. Grab a drink in Gabriel's, stroll to the game. See you there.
  19. Caught Blackillac and Gary Clarke Jr. at Moody Amphitheater Friday night. Great performances. Impressive venue. TERRIBLE beer selection. Revolver Blood and Honey was the best option at $11 a can....
  20. On the upside, it'll keep capacity at 50% or less....
  21. Underwhelming.
  22. "...I expected it to be unconventional. But it was so much worse than that. In more than a decade working on elections, audits and recounts across the country, I’ve never seen one this mismanaged." "Audits are supposed to make us better. They are supposed to make our elections more secure and transparent — to strengthen the public’s trust in our democratic process. Maricopa County is known for having some of the best election practices in the country: Officials had already undertaken a hand-count audit and a forensic audit of their 2020 ballots and found no evidence of fraud. Now a group with no expertise, improvising procedures as they go, is sowing doubt about the outcome of a well-run election. This is not an audit, and I don’t see how this can have a good outcome."
  23. Ah, this makes me feel better: https://www.washingtonpost.com/outlook/2021/05/19/gop-arizona-election-audit/
  24. Maricopa County's reply to the "audit." It's a darn good read.
