  1. this wing stop def poetry jam commercial is fucking terrible. why do so many ads feature voice actors who make my ears bleed? don’t even get me started on the breathy, wholesome white girl voice they use every time they try to sell you some poison pill, or some clothing made by taiwanese 9 year olds in a sweat shop.
  2. TTU out-toughing florida.
  3. rim went back to its natural position, it was a bad call that they correctly reversed.
  4. florida just had the greatest commercial break ever.
  5. wait wait wait…you support westlake AND duke?!?
  6. https://x.com/rockytopinsider/status/1906076186893300179?s=46 “a jewel among jewels; one of the great ones.”
  7. he’s got the potential to be an important player on a tourney team, and for me he’s got the floor to be an exciting role player off the bench at a place like oregon. i wish him well.
  8. top 3 FTA for Texas the past five seasons: 2025: johnson- 4.2 shedrick- 4.0 kaluma- 3.5 2024: disu- 3.4 abmas- 2.9 shedrick- 2.7 2023: allen- 3.7 carr- 3.6 rice- 3.4 2022: allen- 4.3 carr- 3.2 bishop- 2.4 2021: sims- 3.8 jones- 3.2 ramey- 3.0 isiah taylor at texas: 2014- 5.8 2015- 4.2 (broke his wrist, off year) 2016- 5.9 that was by far the most underrated part of his game. that guy willed us to victories with his heart and his pointed desire to get to the rim and in doing so, get to the line as well. ended up shooting 82% his final two years. we haven’t had anybody even close to him in that regard since then. definition of “dog”.
  9. isaiah taylor was the man. god i loved that guy. if he’d have played for beard or barnes he’d have been an all american. yes, an all american. not 1st or even 2nd team, but he had BIG XII POY talent and potential. such a waste of talent and heart playing for that dumbass shaka. IT was the absolute perfect PG to run havoc, but nope. we had to do some brand new shit. and then on top of that you have the likes of demarcus holland and prince ibeh on the team as well and you *still* don’t run havoc?!? jesus christ shaka. every time i remember this shit i get all angry all over again. fucking loser.
  10. hit your FTs and it’s over.
  11. TO’s telling the story right now. we need to secure the ball and get 1-2 good looks and this game is over.
  12. i don’t have a problem with that last quick shot, she should have made the bunny, but yeah, not smart play.
  13. man, we are blowing by them, we’ve got to start hitting these shoots and taking advantage of having numbers.
  14. this team has ratcheted up the intensity this quarter, but tennessee isn’t backing down. gonna be a fight to the end.
  15. wow. the redneck family are just living breathing emblems of dunning-kruger. i found them fascinating. edited to add: the way that they “interacted” with “mr.fenn”, eg speaking directly to him when filming themselves, and feeling like “mr.fenn” cared about them and wanted good for them, was just so eerily similar to so many maga people and donald trump. this personal relationship that they’ve created in their heads and hearts- it’s just wild.
  16. reading is hard, i know.
  17. “he’s only playing to his seed.” yeah, and everyone is talking about how unusual this tourney has been because, wait for it- teams are actually playing to their seed. believe it or not that usually doesn’t happen. winning in the tourney is hard. look, after the first game, you’re playing five consecutive games against really good/dangerous teams. and every other matchup you’re facing an unfamiliar team with just one day to prepare. you have one day where your opponent is hot, one player in foul trouble, one rolled ankle, one coin flip tough loss, and any team can be upset from the round of 32 forward. there’s a reason this tourney is so hard to win- it’s the most unique and challenging tourney in world sports. beyond that- and this is lost on 98% of cbb fans- coaches build their teams to win the league they play in. this houston/tennessee matchup is the perfect example. barnes and sampson are two of the best in the game and yet both have historically underperformed in the tourney because the formula that won them 25-30 games in the regular season when they’re in-conference and using all of their depth doesn’t work the same in a one-and-done tourney vs strange opponents on a tight schedule, while playing in cavernous football arenas no less. these teams two guys in particular have teams that win a ton of games, but are simply not built to play from behind vs a top tier opponent. that’s the five and take when you play elite defense with outstanding athletes. now there are guys who are actual tourney chokers- shaka smart, tony bennett, matt painter, etc. and then there are guys like barnes and sampson who are outstanding coaches with more tourney wins than 95% of guys out there, who get shit-talked by internet trolls every single time they underachieve, completely ignoring the larger body of work that will see a guy like rick barnes enshrined in the hall of fame. it’s honestly pretty pathetic to be such a big hater, to ignore all success, to never admit when you’re wrong, and most of all, for the object of your ire to be a great man who was the best coach in your alma mater’s history. so strange. here’s to hoping Barnes can continue to silence some of his critics.
  18. they want him fired every february, despite the fact that their entire hoops history pre-barnes could be boiled down to one elite 8 + a handful of notable players. they are some whiny ass, front running losers.
  19. the only reason i’m tuned in right now- hell, the only reason i’m aware that this game is happening, is because pancho put the thread on this forum.
