  1. seriously tho, the nuggets bench:
  2. we have tre johnson and a bunch of talented guys who are going to take time to mesh. we have a bunch of guys who are supposed to be 34% - 38% shooters from deep. one of those guys getting hot + tre johnson playing like a lottery pick and that’s the exact formula for a mediocre team to make the S16.
  3. yeah, and this is what sucks about college basketball fandom these days. apparently everyone except me is willing endure an endlessly frustrating november, december, january, february, and half of march all so we can win two games one weekend at the very end of the year, resulting in nothing substantive, and call it a success. i hate it so much.
  4. people say they don’t want to write off the whole season after one game, but we’re probably at the point where the best bet for us to have a “good” season is to simply make the tourney and then win at least two games. i don’t think that the regular season is ever going to be a fun romp as long as RT is here. as long as he’s here the regular season will be a rollercoaster where we almost never win or lose more than 3 games in a row after the calendar turns over, and where every single season comes down to tourney performance. what’s weird is, as depressing as that sounds, the postings on this board since late era barnes would lead one to believe that that’s exactly how the people here like it.
  5. that had nothing to do with anything. nothing that these candidates said or did had anything to do with anything. everyone already knew which side they were voting for ages ago, and nothing was going to change that. tim walz was the best chance the dems had at appealing to the more rational of the conservative base, and it didn’t matter at all. this whole thing is totally tribalistic. none of the minutiae matters .

  7. yeah watching this has not been good for my health.
  8. fox news just said that trump started the night with a 58% chance to win according to betting odds, and that that number has gone up to 68% since the night started. what does this mean?
  9. would be a big loss, and sounds like a tough situation regardless of the outcome.
  10. ^^^ first post on page six. you’re prescient.
  11. does it just show up on your home page? i’m not seeing it on mine.
  12. trump wins kentucky, kamala wins vermont.
  13. this is why people are upset. we have a playoff caliber, potentially national title caliber team, and our QB has spent the last three hames cratering and turning into a liability, when previously he’d looked great before getting injured, a scenario we’ve already lived through before. we are 7-1 despite quinn, not be wise of him. the university if Texas had four, count em, four national titles in its illustrious history. what a shame it would be to potentially lose out on our fifth because our supposed-to-be heisman winner/no.1 overall draft pick is scared to get hurt and is not longer a threat to throw the ball more than 7 yards down the field.
  14. who cares. since when should cdc give a shit about the reactions of kirk bohls and the denizens of surly. if cdc makes a real hire then Texas is doing well right now and looking good for the future while RT is at some other school stinking up the joint. who’s complaining then?
  15. QB rating is an antiquated stat that in and of itself proves nothing. look at his QBR the last three games vs the michigan and utsa games. that stat shows how subpar he’s been compared to before he got injured. sark went above and beyond to set QE up for success in the 1H against vandy, and the ensuing high completion rate skews his qb rating much higher than the eyeball test tells you that it should be. QE has been bad lately, and he was bad again against vandy, leading a totally inept offense that never threatened vanderbilt in the 2H because quinn isn’t a threat to throw the ball anywhere beyond the defensive front 7. he also threw two of his trademark picks where his sidearm throws get batted at the line, and was sacked four times behind a line that has suddenly been underperforming ever since QE stopped being a threat. so between the complete inability to move the chains and his propensity for turning the ball over and getting sacked, what part of his amazing “154.3” performance stood out to you? is that the type of performance you want to see going forward? you think we win out if QE keeps playing like that?
  16. if this site had reddit-style awards this post would have a bunch of them. there’s no doubt that there’s a ton of people who won’t consider posting in this thread because of its formulaic, reactive, mob mentality responses to anyone who is critical of QE. there’s basically no discussion here anymore, just BO&W and five of his adversaries having a slap fight. people get so so attached to a player that any criticism of him gets taken personally, no matter how obviously reasonable the criticisms or questions are, and that ends all discussion right there.
