  2. @MNLonghornFUKM- only participant who didn’t pick a 1 or a 2 seed to win it all. respeck.

  4. don’t love the strategy for that final possession. you have to take the shot way sooner.
  5. he’ll be the guy who replaces sean miller.
  6. one of them is about to be two wins away from taking his fourth different program to the final four. 👀
  7. yeah that was the team that beat michigan state two days later, got to no.1 in the country, and then had all of the fight beaten out of them by barnes shortly thereafter. low point of barnes’s career, low point of my fandom, precisely because of how sure i was that we had the best team in the country when watching them play UNC that day, and sparty two days later. bill self probably hates this team. this has to be his least favorite team of his entire career. i can’t even imagine where his head’s at right now.
  8. the entire game turned on a dime at that moment. i mean you said it- that deflated them.
  9. it was shaka, 100%. he never considered Texas because he didn’t like shaka. BU was out ahead at first, but i think that TTU ended up as his second choice with baylor third and UT never in the running. when we were talking about his recruitment he straight up said he wouldn’t play for shaka. i never said a word about my opinion on shaka before he gave me his opinion first, and as soon as he said it i laughed and said, “smart man.” he also said that shaka and Texas thought they had him in the bag because of the austin/westlake/brock connection. he said that jai lucas was *shocked* when he called to tell them that he was committing to kansas. said that Texas started scrambling and trying to recruit him all hard all of a sudden. i’m pretty sure he smelled shaka’s bullshit from a mile away.
  10. wow, three straight turnovers. unreal.
  11. what i really want to see from this program can’t be summed up with tourney results or rankings. it’s a specific look and feel from our team, a look and feel that was never stronger with me then it was on december 19th, 2009: the team was big, fast, strong, physical, aggressive, assertive, confident, and competent. yes, they fell apart shortly thereafter, but anyone else who was there that day at jerryworld remembers that team and that game. you look out on the court and you see J’Covan Brown- 21 pts reb Avery Bradley- 20 pts 4 reb Jordan Hamilton-large, athletic wing, future all american Damion James- 25pts, 15 reb Dexter Pittman- 23 pts, 15 reb you just look at the guys on the floor and they’re huge, they’re fast, they’re athletic, they’ve got a motor, and they just play with such confidence and aggression, that it can only come from being an extremely well put together, well coached, well drilled team. thats what i want back. there’s all kinds of different coaching personalities and styles, and im really just less concerned with that than i am with recapturing that feeling of looking out onto the court, seeing our five guys, and being like, “fuck yeah. we got this. 100% confidence.” i just want that feeling back, because if we can get back to that place then the wins and the trophies will follow.
  12. yeah i’m just learning from this thread about wade’s handling of the situation at lsu. sounds like he’s the furthest thing from what we’re looking for… …although i kinda wish we’d get over it and go hire us a beard, pearl, pitino type coach again. i really do.
  13. almost nobody makes the S16 every couple years, and miller has made it once since 2017, and that’s in the weak ass pac 12 and big east.
  14. believe it or not, i’ve never actually been to little caesar’s myself, so this has been quite illuminating for me:
  15. if the goal of this article was to get people to share it (to mock it) then they nailed it: https://fansided.com/4-rodney-terry-replacements-texas-five-star-talent-march-madness their list of “4 Rodney Terry replacements who could actually make the most of five-star talent at Texas”: 4.Ben Mccollum 3.Alan Huss 2.Randy Bennett 1.Niko Medved
  16. purdue fans worst nightmare just came true. another double digit seed in their way.
  17. clemson should have started playing the foul game with 2:30 left. not only do they not do that, they don’t even play the foul game with 00:30 left lol. shambolic.
  18. clemson down 40-16 with 15 minutes and change remaining. even with an injury to your best player, that wild.
  19. clemson with 11 points with 2:06 left in the half.
  20. no, because he’s leveled out and is no longer the rising star that he was a decade ago. you’ve got this sean miller: yep, i’d like to hire him. but then you’ve got this sean miller: so he falls off a cliff at arizona, gets canned for rampant cheating, gets welcomed back home at xavier, finishes 56th and 40th in kenpom the last two years, and would be willing to bolt from xavier *again* after they welcomed his cheating, losing ass with open arms. that’s why i don't want it to be sean miller.
  21. god damn mcneese looks awesome. i honestly don’t see any difference in wade and miller scandal-wise other than the show-cause, and i think i speak for most of us here when i say id rather have wade than miller. i would be really interested in hearing why we won’t touch a guy like wade if we do end up hiring miller.
  22. yeah, ok, i can get behind that hire.
