  1. statistically and anecdotally this is not true. statistically: QE was accurate on ~65% of his on platform intermediate throws, which is fine, but is not the drew brees-esque “always puts it on the money” type accuracy you describe. and again, this is on platform. knowing how often he threw the ball off platform would suggest that his overall number is significantly lower. anecdotally: ewers had xavier worthy, ad mitchell, matthew golden, isaiah bond, jt sanders, gunnar helm, and jordan whittington to throw the ball to, behind a a great o line at that. Texas doesn’t mightily struggle to get first downs (forget scoring points) against the likes of a&m, kentucky, vanderbilt, arizona state, etc if ewers was really out there just putting the ball on the money all day to his bevy of nfl wr’s, many of whom thrived in the intermediate area of the field. 61% and 69% catchable balls is not “always on the money”. especially for a 22 year old third year starter.

  5. señor clutch.
  6. lol yeah i don't expect sports announcers to be able to nail “kepa arrizabalaga” on the first try, but mispronouncing the easiest names drives me crazy. another example that’s a little different is how english soccer announcers take names that end in “a” and turn them into a name that ends in “er”. so, david silva becomes david silver, and santi cazorla becomes santi cazorler, etc. all of that shit drives me crazy, in every sport. like you know that’s not his name. just try and say his name correctly.
  7. pronouncing “robles” as “robe•lace” is busch league. you’re an announcer for a league that’s 30% latin. you can properly pronounce “victor robles”.
  8. that was three feet short of being a bomb.
  9. jorge polanco aka señor clutch.
  10. bringing him back would be the most popular move since we hired joe maddon. make it happen. 🙏🏼

  16. that is a catch and a fumble, jesus christ. don’t tell me about how he needed to “take a third step”. since fucking when is taking three steps part of catching the ball?
  17. seriously! “let’s fake this punt so we can run out the clock.”
  18. it’s funny (and sad, and scary) because it’s true:
  19. what in the hell did i just watch?!?! is anyone else seeing this?? garrett wilson is livid, and is chewing out aaron glen, his head coach. that was the single strangest, most inexplicable drive i have ever seen play calling wise. i mean, you fake a punt with less than a minute left, then run the ball the next play??? then run again?!? then just let the half run out with 20+ seconds left without snapping the ball? whaaa???
  20. jets play calling on this final drive has been, just, insane. “kurt warner’s hair is on fire in this booth” lol, even he can’t take it.
  21. bo nix scrambles and for no reason slides half a yard short for the first down on 1st and 10. i see qbs do this ever week, and i scream at my tv even though ive got no skin in the game. 2nd down: run for no gain 3rd down: penalty, makes it 3rd and 5+ 3rd down again: penalty, now 3rd and 16 4th down: punt all because bo nix decided to slide half a yard short of the sticks for absolutely no reason at all. this fires me up almost as much as this insane “ima drop the ball at the half yard line” phenomenon.
  22. “if this is so, which it is.” lmao, this fucking moron.
