  1. if bama is missing their threes then we can actually win this game if we compete on the glass. i won’t hold my breath, but this could be closer than one would think.
  2. kenpom has alabama winning 83-81
  3. before the trade dallas had luka doncic.

  5. there is real bad blood between scott drew and texas. neither party has any interest in scott drew coaching at Texas. period. end of story. next.
  6. except for his rampant cheating during the actual height of Texas basketball, an era which saw us essentially locked out from recruiting our own state for 15-20 years, for starters. there’s much, much more, but why list it all out when you’re not going to listen to any of it.
  7. hey donald trump is pretty good at winning presidential elections, who’s to say that he won’t be the next democratic nominee? i mean who cares about anything in the past, it’s all about winning, amirite? /no cr, but jesus christ guys, learn when to listen to those around you who actually know what they’re talking about.
  8. everyone here except for you actually does know that we would never ever ever go after scott drew. we’ve tried to explain it to you, but you refuse to be moved even one inch off your position. you can tell yourself whatever you want, but you are in fact wrong. and fyi, scott drew doesn’t want to coach here either. the feeling is mutual.
  9. teddy p Love TKO jalen hurts commercial was fire.
  10. bro i’ve derailed my own threads in the OP, on many occasions. #daretoderka
  11. 8 catches, 157 yards, 2 TD in the super bowl as a rookie. helluva performance even though his team got mashed.
  12. a)no one likes a thread gatekeeper, and b) why do you want to whitewash the history of this board and pretend that didn’t happen? if you didn’t talk shit about him and tell him to transfer then you shouldn’t be triggered.
  13. any booster who has made any real investment in Texas Basketball would laugh you out of the room if you suggested scott drew. nobody, and i mean nobody with any sway at Texas Basketball wants scott drew.
  14. we couldn’t even recruit our own state for like 20 years because we refused to play the slimy games that scott drew was playing. generations of Texas HS talent who wouldn’t event take a visit to Austin because we refused to cheat like scott drew did, directly against us. but sure, let’s fucking hire him him now. Texas “had to” fire chris beard and Texas “had to” hire RT because Texas has historically held itself to a higher standard than than many of the major sports programs we’ve recruited/played against, particularly in the south. scott drew comes from BAYLOR, the school of murder, murder cover ups, and roving bands of football playing serial rapists just terrorizing the campus, all in the name of BU Athletics. Baylor is the antithesis of Texas when it comes to ethical behavior, and nobody as covered in the baylor stink as scott drew is will ever be hired by Texas. i suppose you would have loved it Texas had hired kim mulkey too, huh? of course you would.
  15. there’s nothing i love more than listening to some kid who knows fuck-all about history tell older generations why they feel the way they do. you do not know what you are talking about. this is not about me, or rick barnes. you started following this program when shaka was here. there’s a reason that every single long time UT Basketball fan who has posted on this subject has reacted with extremely strong language against your terrible idea. listen to your elders, and stop persisting with this terrible, terrible suggestion.
  16. wrong on both counts. this is not a conversation worth having at this point.
  17. if me telling you that he is the modern version of barry switzer and nolan richardson doesn’t get it through to you then nothing will. like i said, you don’t know your history, and you’re making an impossibly terrible suggestion here. notice the reaction you’re getting from the board. you’ve already been told why he’s a non starter. you either get it or you don’t.
  18. chris beard coming back would be wildly more popular than scott drew being the hire. if all you care about is winning and you don’t care about popularity then you want chris beard back, you don’t suggest scott fucking drew.
  19. you don’t know your Texas Basketball history. he’s not some random, unlikable coach. dan hurley, brad underwood, mock cronin, and plenty more all fit that bill. Scott Drew is public enemy no.1 here. he is hated; he is loathed; rick barnes would have punched scott drew in his nose on national tv if he could have gotten away with it. as far as texas hoops is concerned in 2025 he is the antichrist. just like nolan richardson was before you were born, scott drew is a non starter.
  20. this would be like texas football hiring barry switzer. i don’t think you could come up with a more unpopular name.
  21. i mean our roster is 20th in the country in average d-1 experience at 2.87 years so it’s not like it’s all on tre. the roster itself is in no way built to overly rely on any one player, especially not a teenager. we just habitually find ourselves needing to score in bunches to stay in games/get back into games.
