  1. i feel very strongly that many of you in here are being prisoners of the moment. Arch didn’t do anything to put us into a hole in the 1h despite routinely going through all of his reads and having to either dump it off to the safety valve or try and make a play with his legs. quinn would not even have gone through those progressions, he would have seen his first option covered, turtled in the pocket under no pressure, and then either run into the back of his own linemen or run backwards opening a lane for a pass rusher to drop him. one offseason and y’all have forgotten the entire last three years.
  2. a person who pumped up arch and then refuses to show their face today is a helluva lot smarter than the literally dozens of posters who would watch QE be terrible in a myriad of ways for three straight years and still run back into this thread over and over swearing that he was actually awesome and that it was everyone else’s fault.
  3. this is an insane take. QE self sacks 3-4 times in the first half today with osu’s blanket coverage and QE’s well documented pocket jitters. we’d have been down by a lot more than 7-0 at half with QE running that offense today. Arch was terrible most of the day today, but he avoided sacks, he stood tall in the pocket, and he made plays with his legs in situations where we watched QE get sacked over and over and over throughout his career. the more accurate thing to say is that we would have beaten tOSU today with either of the supporting casts that QE had the last two years. we sure could have used kelvin banks, ad mitchell, matthew golden, gunnar helm, jt sanders, jonathan brooks, et al today, especially with sark’s unimaginative and stubborn play calling.
  4. since the last game we played.
  5. 1-5 on 4th down. terrible. that’s the game right there. they weren’t even bad decisions, just bad play calls.
  6. ewers would have been sacked four times today with how well tosu covered our wrs and how skittish he was in the pocket. nobody is saying that arch played well, but the assertion that quinn would have led us to a win today is baseless.
  7. i don’t disagree, but today was arch’s first start as qb1. sark has been killing us on 4th and short for years now.
  8. officially dreading tomorrow morning.
  9. sark could not be any worse at 4th down play calling. the sheer volume of 4th and short/4thband medium failures over the last 2+ seasons is sickening.
  10. getting the ball back, LFG!!
  11. 3rd and 10, what’s PK gonna dial up.
  12. well it’s now official- sark has had a worse day than arch.
  13. not so jaggy there, is he?
  14. biggest question mark coming into today: o line biggest offensive question mark after today: everyone except for the o line
  15. i legitimately did not know that the clock keeps running on first downs and out of bounds plays until today. not a fan.
  16. none of those things are good things.
  17. it’s sick that i actually prefer 4th and 3 to 4th and 1 with sark’s track record.
  18. three consecutive one-read plays for nice yards. good adjustment. probably should have done this all game. 🤷🏼‍♂️
  19. no pick, ball clearly hits the ground.
  20. could really use a sack, forced fumble, turnover, defensive td, all of the above.
  21. tOSU was blocking down field before that pass was even thrown. it’s ok to flag them too.
  22. has the preseason heisman favorite ever been eliminated from the race after one game?
  23. jesus fucking christ, safety taken off the board.
  24. whenever Texas and Arsenal have a big game on the same weekend they have an unreal penchant for having the same result. so uh, good news for liverpool fans so far.
