  1. Bill Shattner & Lady GaGa? Who knew?
  2. His latest trilogy could perhaps be a mixed bag for folks who have read his other works: he revisits a lot of areas from his first trilogy with new characters intermingled with a few old ones (/no spoiler). For some it might feel run on but I actually enjoyed it - he's clearly continuing to refine his skill as a writer.
  3. I know I will end up with neg bombs but I support this. Tech is closer to the ag school our state should have had, instead of the dipshits we suffer with.
  4. If they're the Mi-8/17's rebuilt by the Czech's (Lom Praha) then they're awesome.
  5. What are the locations of the event you have in the morning vs. the afternoon?
  6. JFC, you people need to study history more. What killed the SWC didn't start inside the conference - it was changing monetary dynamics of college football. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NCAA_v._Board_of_Regents_of_the_University_of_Oklahoma
  7. Project 1999 - Free version of EQ through Velious, Very passionate players.
  8. Wait - if pussy is undefeated, which pussy? And how many count in that video?
  9. When I'm feeling too lazy to make the 35 min drive to Herd's in Jacksboro I head to the local place - the Mineral Wells Dairy Mart. Here's some of their online pix: The place, the menu, the House Burger, & some options. Enjoy.
  10. This. Also, Bentonville/Bella Vista/Fayetteville Ar is blowing the fuck up right now.
  11. Only 25 lots? I sure hope they get more added to the 3 day event.
  12. It's more in the vein of Heinlein and mebbe Scalzi - even Jones (Thin Red Line). It explores the impacts war has on mental states, ethics and relationships. It does it in a sci-fi environment and does it extremely well (like Corey). The recco I put in for Alanson isn't as deep, it's purely fun - Galaxy Quest type fun. Hayes is fantasy, great reading fantasy.
  13. NMAS, I swore I was going to back off of making as many recommendations as I used to in this forum but just last night I was thinking "I really need to recommend the Frontlines series to Thujone" after his post on the Bobiverse - great call here Sir. Also, if you like Marko Kloos I DEFINITELY recommend the Expeditionary Force series by Craig Alanson - fun, fun, FUN reading. (and look into the different series by Rob J. Hayes, second plug in this thread for his works)
  14. Holy shit, I want to make a grilled cheeze sammich with bread slices like that.
  15. Very much enjoyed it - looking forward to a new book from him in this series. Cannot recommend 'The Singularity Trap' from him though, not nearly as entertaining.
  16. My deepest condolences, there are no words that could possible assuage your family's grief - my family and I will be holding you and yours in our thoughts and prayers.
  17. Tom coming in be like: Four years later Tom be all:
  18. While you're at the Toyota dealership test driving the 4Runner, take the time to look at a Sequoia. But whatever you do - do NOT try a Land Cruiser on for size, you'll end up buying it.
  19. Fuck, at this point, fire Herman and put in Jerritt Elliot as interim. I'd even hire Joel fucking Klatt if this shit keeps up.
  20. Malazan drags a lot more than WOT. I almost quit at book 9. This. This right fucking here - Malazan was a horrific experience. Put it down and never picked it up again.
  21. @THUJONEI'm having a hard time understanding your book, where are the dick pics? (about a quarter in, seems like everyone is 'the bad guy' except the heroine - enjoying it so far)
