  1. I wonder if all the people Mack is such dear friends with know that they are such dear friends.
  2. Yep. The guys are perpendicular to each other. This is a speed/positioning issue, not straight up getting pushed around. You can outweigh me by 100lbs but it doesn't matter much if our paths are damn near 90 degrees apart and I'm getting through the intersection ahead of you.
  3. Quinn's lack of elite complements can be overstated, but it is real. I don't want to speak ill of our RB room, but the dropoff from Bijan -> Brooks -> finally Wisner as starter has been a massive problem. We should always have a guy at RB that everyone else is jealous of and we just don't have that at all. WR room is also a dip and TE is debatable.
  4. Coaches love "I can fix him, I'm a better coach than the other guy" approach. And hey, sometimes they're absolutely correct.
  5. They could become a rival in the sense of "oh no, you're a regional threat to my success and equal or better in important ways so our rivalry is somewhat the result of our organic experiences!" (like OU) and not just a rival in the sense of being fucking annoying and historically/politically/economically tied together; de facto rivalry. But yeah, it's not something we'll ever have to worry about, because they aren't going to win and even if they did there's no way they don't act like fucking clowns the entire time.
  6. An Aggie buddy of mine is really taking this angle of things hard. He was very confident that we'd come into the SEC and be taught a rough lesson and humbled. Crowed about Georgia beating us the first time and was generally insufferable. He let it go for a while when the inevitable A&M collapse/Texas resurgence happened and he's kind of reduced to angrily whining about conference drama. - Very upset with me and others in the group chat for laughing at the SEC's bowl woes, admonishing us to have conference pride - Seems brainlocked at the concept of viewing Ohio St/Texas through his promoted prism of conference pride when confronted by Florida buddy (never me, picking on Aggies isn't even really fun for me in real life unless they start it, and even then kind of boring). The Big 10 call from within Aggie fandom is just a re-manifestation of the same sad, pathetic impulse that led them out of the Big 12. There is no faith within them that they will ever be anything worth attention, so they think they need coattails to ride or to be in near proximity to a shinier object to get its reflected light. It's not even in their heads that they could either (a) be the leader or (b) be focused on themselves and their own achievements/failures outside of regularly comparing against others. And really, a lot of this is our fault. If you make fun of little brother enough, he believes it and it becomes his personality if he isn't mentally and emotionally strong. Aggies are neither. I'd like to respect them, but they have to make themselves respectable (win) and then act respectably (stop fucking whining all the time and seeking Good Boy points and praise and validation from others) over a consistent period of time. If not winning -> shut up If winning -> act like its expected and be outwardly non-plussed and gracious repeat for 20 years and maybe, MAYBE we can start to look at you like you're a Big Boy
  7. That pass-pro line call is executed damn near perfectly, and Connor's job there was to hold that QB blindside gap and to NOT overpursue for contact's sake and leave a shot to Quinn's spine available. Banks didn't need the help + his guy going outside anyway initially. Majors didn't need anymore help than a right-hand shove (which Connor provided). As Quinn is throwing, Connor's head is looking at the DE who is rolling inside on Banks while keeping a hand on Major's guy. Great help work from Connor. The only real fuck-up here is Helm. Hopped outside an inside-pursuit defender and then whipped inside. (And maybe Hutson should've been less aggressive on Majors's guy.)
  8. Yes. Players thinking/acting like us is a problem for the players, because we're over-emotional idiots.
  9. Quinn Ewers was unbelievable at the very end. Unbelievable. Holy shit, boy, way to go.
  10. I never doubted for a second. Total faith in him and Quinn the whole time. Underwear is VERY clean. All relationships with others FIRMLY intact.
  11. I thought Quinn was going to fumble that
  12. No one does, not even them. We're so much more talented we might just win anyway
  13. Not running the clock Having Quinn air out an arm punt when all we needed to do was grind
  14. Muhammad throwing his hands up in the "Where's the safety!?" complaint while the ball is still in the air is amazing to see in replay. What a fucking clown
  15. No clue what #5 was doing. He has no clue either.
  16. shit in one hand and wish in the other, pal
  17. I'm leeching off my son's YouTubeTV account and if this is true I might Venmo him $10. 22-view, no ESPN commentary, and Craig Way?? Is it synced up?
  18. Charlie would've been a success if it wasn't for Mack's secret meddling during those years!
  19. Good point, I didn't consider the danger of random anonymous Internet posters giving Mack Brown a coaching position. I had the idiotic idea that CDC, the regents, and Sark ran the show. I forgot about LonghornGrandpa and HookEm833.
  20. All the best to y'all's therapists and spouses. The amount of trauma y'all still haven't processed is alarming. Hating people doesn't make them disappear. The way you deal with a bitch ex-wife is by making it more profitable for her to be less of a bitch.
  21. Yes. Now tell me how that can be either diminished or avoided.
