  1. Swap the "d" for an "r" and the "h" for a "t" and you're close to a description of A&M's big guns having committed well into the 9 figures on the Jimbo Experiment. Meanwhile I'm only in Bobby Layne money on the ONEFund. Who's the deep-heart now!?
  2. Is "deep hearted" a thing people say?
  3. God, what a weak, tiny little man.
  4. The second sentence answers the first. For the Democrats, it's not about results, it's about process. It's improper to pressure your friends into leaving before they are ready. So Ginsburg gets to slay-queen her macrame cravat a little longer while women lose reproductive rights and Feinstein gets to wander into a mudslide as that gets even worse and Biden gets to be president and everything collapses around them because it is rude to suggest anything else within their halls of power. Meanwhile, Mitch can actively being eaten by sharks and the only thing that matters in his mind and the minds of his fellows is making sure they destroy whatever is left of the natural environment like his constituents want. The desire to exercise given power to achieve the desired results (Republicans) vs. the desire to hold power as a reward for being Good (Democrats). Also, having an actual agenda vs. not having an actual agenda.
  5. I think genuine, non-ironic supporters of CU/Prime are more than happy to give it a few years. (I am an ironic Prime-lover. This is the most entertaining coaching story, to me, in a long time.) For every 1 person who actually believes Colorado is going to be great immediately, there are 1,000 Internet participants saying, "I can't believe so many people think Colorado is going to be great immediately! Oh man they're so stupid!" And a 1:1000 ratio might be conservative on my part. It's probably closer to 1:10,000 or 1:100,000. Athlon says they'll finish 11th out of 12 Mike Farrell says they'll be 6-6 247 predicts 4-8 collegefootballnews says 3-9 USAToday says 5-7 There were 47k at their Spring game. How many of even THOSE people genuinely, honestly believe they're contending for the Pac-12 in 2023? 10%?
  6. lol Deion ain't here to play coaching Reading the article itself, none of this sounds like a big deal within the context of NCAA football. Business as usual. Kids got cut and have hurt feelings about it. Some hate the coach. World spins 'round. What will actually be fun is if the team fucking sucks or fucking rules. Anything below 3-8 or above 8-3 is fun. Anything between that is boring. And short of him banging some cheerleaders, the off-the-field stuff is much ado about nothing.
  7. I just want to watch the show. That's what Deion is for, the show. The fake "THERE ARE ONLY 19 FOOTBALL PLAYERS LEFT ON THE TEAM!" or "OH MY GOD HE IS GETTING SUED FOR PRAYING! HE'S IN BIG TROUBLE!" type of fake shit gets in the way of the show. Let the drama build, people, no need to invent things or blow things out of proportion.
  8. Do schools actually just hand over practice film to players who are transferring to other schools? Did Brenan Thompson just give hours of practice film to Venables?
  9. Saying Colorado was 1-11 last year is bad, but it doesn't really put it into perspective. Air Force beat them 41-10. Minnesota rowed the boat over them 49-7. Unbelievable garbage fire of a team. Their one win was OT against a dogshit Cal team, 20-13. Bowl game in 2023? The Sanders experiment might blow up in their faces, but basing that off whether or not he keeps around players from that team means nothing.
  10. Yes, they'll be fine with 4-8 so long as the recruiting continues to look insane (for them) and there is still a sense of fun.
  11. Bama pays Weigman to go to UNC Maye goes to Bama Boom. Weigman isn't as good as Maye, but I like this idea because it is stupid and fuck A&M
  12. Ladies and gentlemen... THE DEMOCRATS!
  13. Also for the Sooners and Aggies in our lives.
  14. Guys it totally happens all the time that players walk out in the middle of practice because they don't respect their coach. Totally normal. Daily occurrence. Nothing to see here.
  15. Over the decades I've gotten good at not signaling to my wife that I'm reacting to something that I just read about UT football/athletics. Too much of our time and our money have gone to it. But when I saw Tarp say "hat in hand" I thought that might have been the moment Jesus finally called me home because I squawked like a parrot and choked on my dessert. After more decades than many here have seen, that might be the apotheosis of aggy. Holy. Shit. Imagine any conference not dying to have us. Imagine us having to beg. ahahahahahahaha
  16. Shhhhhh, don't tell them stuff like this. We've almost got them tricked into getting rid of one of the few active coaches with a national championship!
  17. A freedom-from-religion group is mad that a coach prays with his players?? WHAT!?!?!? lol
  18. It's hilarious that the one thing I thought was kind of cool about the Ag's NIL thing turned out to be an NCAA no-no. lol they suck so much
  19. They've had over a decade to establish a new rival in the SEC and have found no takers.
  20. Sanders is an extremely interesting coaching prospect who is probably slightly more honest and well-intentioned than the average. But that's like discussing the virtues of whores in the whorehouse. It's fun to watch and I have zero concept of why people get so pissed off about him other than... you know... the obvious. (Gump-angrilly-tapping-on-Sumlin-portrait) Either that or some here actually believe the mainstream, nice quiet white boy coach horseshit who loves Jesus, mama, and puppies. Like people at the Royal Rumble who think it's real.
  21. Wait wait wait... are you guys telling me a high-level football coach is largely full of shit, arrogant, dishonest, and someone who just recycles a lot of tired shit a lot of other coaches have done and said!? WHAT!? I demand an investigation.
  22. There you go, grandpa
