Some good times in that, I could go for a lot more of themISUCyclones Al_4_ISU SnowAggy
Here’s some nostalgia for y’all

Yeah it's not sitting on shelves where I am either but like you said also not the most rare thing in the world. Worst they can say is no.My thought process on that is that with the high price point on Cigar Blend they probably don’t order too many at a time.
It may just be a distribution thing. I’ve seen Cigar Blend all over Florida for whatever reason. I wish our stores here focused on procuring better options than most of the local Texas shit they shill on us. -
I've got a bunch of requests for them to put in...Does anyone know if Total Wine will order a specific bottle of bourbon for you if you request one? I’ve been looking for Joseph Magnus Cigar Blend and it shows they carry it at my store in SA, but it’s out of stock.
Just curious if anyone has done this before.

Very nice pickups, my bourbon buying outpaced my actual drinking years ago.new acquisitions over the past week or so (the front 5). i'm way out of room and can't drink fast enough (i only drink 2-3 days a week, but baseball is here). have never tried any of these, so we'll see. obviously i got into the makers already, very nice.
a couple of these were k&l store picks, and that's where my hookup is. he sent me the a.d. laws, which i had never heard of. this will also be the first old forester i've had that isn't 1910, which@huge turned me onto. hard to go wrong for $29.
and i saw uncle nearest is available at my grocery store (ordered groceries for the weekend yesterday). maybe i'll give it a try. -
Freddie was exactly how he comes across on all the docs/media, just the nicest and coolest dude ever.

Well the birthday market has lost its damn mind. That shit jumped up hundreds of dollars in a few weeks, insanity.
See that's what I heard. I also tried to trade it for any Birthday to no avail. This damn thing is an albatross -
12 year BC picks are generally better than the 14 year picks from all I've tasted. The 14 year picks were the barrels not getting chosen until they were last standing. I had 2 of the party source 14 year picks but sold the second. They are still good, just not earth shattering by any means and not worth the secondary cost imo. 12 > 14I have the Nasa Boone 14 pick. I never opened it since I was looking to sell it (Paid $190).
Now I think I should open it if YOU PEOPLE say that's the best shit out there. -
Here's to hoping my man, I would love another daily drinker at 20 bucksJim Beam stubbornly pushes the boiled peanuts stuff on everybody while they can make masterpieces in Knob Creek SiB store picks, Knob Creek 25, Little Book Chapter 3, and Booker's Kentucky Chew. Bring back Distiller's Cut and make white and black label Jim Beam. I'm drawing the line in the sand with Old Tub. That's it. If it's not good, I'm done with any label with Jim Beam on it. -
It's pretty rare anyone comes out with a new bourbon priced like that so I give props for that alone. The new Jim Beam Single Barrel should be pretty similar and it was awful. I finished a pour and put on the cocktail shelf. But sure, there's an off chance I catch a good one and enjoy it. -
I have friends that picked up a bunch at 19.99 right when it hit shelves last month, they've all pretty much said it's terrible though and flipped or tried to flip the rest haha. Totally agree it's worth a gamble at 20 bucks though and I'm sure I will tooThere's a limited release out "nationwide". A 750 mL for $20 - 23. It'll probably be a Beam Peanut Bomb, but worth the risk at that price.
Allegedly it was Booker Noe's daily drinker. -
Old tub is everywhere here, I guess I should pick one up at some pointCookie Monster gif. Me waiting for Old Tub in Houston. -
Nice, thanks for picking that up for me my man, I'll dm shipping address.Score at retail today at Goody Goody.
Fuck yes.- 1

Oh don't you worry, in Kentucky it's a separate building from where the groceries are. Across the river it's smack in the middle of the actual grocery store including a bar in most Krogers though, much more convenient.Fucking Kroger. Jealous as hell you can get bourbon at the damn grocery store. -
Had my wife grab an Elijah Craig barrel proof b520 at Kroger today when she texted she saw it, why the hell not I suppose.

I’ve been to Myrtle beach a few times and its 90% Ohio license plates that aren’t SC plates, and we know how popular Ohioans are on here
This is the correct answer on SC hating Ohio

Let me know how the bh rye is, all over shelves but not sure I want to drop 75 bucks on itTook my Scout back in a fit on panic and was surprised to find a B sitting on the shelf, so I traded that in and took a flyer in the BH 10YO Rye. Their stuff is generally too sweet for me, but I love an aged Rye so why not... -
No complaints about this weekends pickups

Lulz yeah for sure we drank together with that tidbit, pork belly was from ne ia if you didn't catch the edit. We can probably stop fucking up the thread now but small world.Fucking A, Pork Belly rings a bell. I knew Darrell and Joel from Es Tas pretty well. We absolutely have crossed paths. I’m originally from the Osage area.
Maybe this will seal it: I was one of the owners of the Pancho Villa tail gate van. We would drive it around campus on Fridays before home games blasting through fight song horn like the drunk shit heads we were- 1

Yeah, my buddies and I hung at People’s, Lumpy’s, Chasers, that place on Lincoln (Capone’s?), and Es Tas.
I lived out at Sterling for a couple years after I left Larch, and then at the corner of Hyland and Lincoln during the 07-08 school year. I took a year off and mowed lawns around central Iowa before starting law school at Drake in ‘08. Al is my actual (shortened) first name.Dp

No clue how I forgot es tas, the old version and later on when they moved. Crazy enough I only went to lumpys a few times.
I definitely went to parties at your place im guessing. You might know/remember pork belly then (from ne ia and worked at es tas)? We have definitely crossed many paths if we don't know each other. -
