  1. Cream of Kentucky sits on shelves here for a while generally, saw some the other day. I've heard the first batches were "interesting" but they have gotten better.

    Looking forward to the review

  2. My local store got bought out by liquor barn a couple months ago and has turned to shit. A flippers paradise, and I haven't gotten a single good bottle from them since. Fuck

  3. Drinking one of the first runs of new riff single barrel tonight. I take them for granted being 5 minutes away, but they've knocked it out of the park so far in their existence.

I know I’m a MGP fanboy but damn Remus Repeal IV is one of the best bourbons I’ve tasted this year.

What is retail on that down there?

What's the semi-secret place in Austin where you guys find good allocated stuff? I'm in town for a night and want to grab some bottles.

  6. How much you pay for your C920? My neighborhood lady charged me $67.99 and I told her she should get more. People are going to buy it, might as well make a small buck.
59.99 at my place in nky. I usually avoid the places with big markups on stuff though.
  7. got a ECBP a120 at lunch.  Owner pulled out his bottle of Weller Full Proof.  Said i could have it for 399.  Should I go back and get it?
Full blown secondary shipped to your door is around 300 to 325

Jesus. D what do you attribute this to? I know some states/parts of the country just don't get Buffalo Trace, are they driving up the price?

  9. So here are the two bottles...

Wild Turkey Tribute 15 year 50th Anniversary - Not sure that it would add any value but it is signed by Jimmy Russell, Master Distiller, 2004

Booker’s B96-C-15 Commemorative Bottle 1929-2004. Bottle 10 of 3000. I believe this is what is referred to as the “Death Bottle?”

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
From bsm value page around 1100 for death bottle and 1400 for wild turkey tribute US bottle. Both from early this year though so may have gone up.

  10. Facebook has a bourbon secondary pricing market group that does exactly what you are asking. Look it up or ask the group if it's not there yet and people will tell you the secondary values the bottle has gone for in groups recently.

    Or ask here.

  11. How exactly do liquor stores order their inventory? I have a ton of smaller stores around me but most of them are never able to carry the select brands I'm looking for like Woodford Reserve master's collection. Are they required to buy in bulk? Can they not order 1 bottle of time from a wholesaler? Really not sure how it works.
Oh boy, from the minuscule amount I know it's a complete shit show....
