  1. i suspect the most likely thing to happen is some type of quiet settlement from the press side but I don't know and neither do you. the level of stupidity my posts show certainly know no bounds. especially so to people who seemingly know it all without regard to whether they actually do or not. I'm not sure I've actually engaged you in conversation on this site or before? Thanks for following my stupidity over the years, really. I check this site and others for entertainment value as well with stupid comments being a large part of the infotainment we all share with each other with our posts and some valid opinion and facts interspersed. Minors should get a break when possible. Just wearing a hat doesn't change that in my opinion.
  2. idk what will happen. but i'm interested. thanks for sharing your opinion of my lame post.
  3. The press getting sued is one thing, interesting to see how it turns out. The twitterverse players getting sued is another far more interesting piece in this to me. The piling on with XYZ descriptors with the type of comments used against this minor that were proven false as the truth came out. Don't know how it will play out but: /popcorn.gif

  13. Amsterdam: Rembrandt museum is really good. 'The Nightwatch' is fantastic in person. https://www.google.com/search?q=the+night+watch+at+rijksmuseum&rlz=1C1CHBD_enUS773US773&oq=the+nightwatch+at+&aqs=chrome.1.69i57j0l4j69i64.8478j0j8&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam is really nice as well: https://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C1CHBD_enUS773US773&ei=ZwFqXLHUJf_D0PEPxJ-dOA&q=van+gogh+amsterdam&oq=van+gogh+am&gs_l=psy-ab.1.0.0l10.66168.70196..72852...0.0..0.210.1408.0j10j1......0....1..gws-wiz.......0i71j0i67._Tesg4nEIAA Heineken factory tour was pretty solid way to start your day. The Heineken is/was made near Amsterdam so it is fresh and much better than the bottled stuff in USA. Drank a lot of it on tap while on my 10 days in Amsterdam. Didn't make the Anne Frank House museum. Did gamble at the Holland casino in Amsterdam about 3-4 blocks from the Hostel. Laughing mushrooms were incredible. Although I had never done them before nor since. Did them with a group of hostel mates. We walked the, what seemed like, whole city while flying if you know what I mean. Best slice of pizza ever after about 1.5 hours in. Smoking Hash mixed with MJ was an interesting high recommended by the hostel mates. The Hash mellowed out the buzz.(again wasn't a big MJ person before the trip) The MJ menus in the coffee shops were pretty cool. You could see samples of what bud you were buying. I stayed at the flying pig hostel but was 31 and single on my trip at the time which was fine. I ended up staying 10 days after originally only planning on 5 then 5 in Sweden. It was the last 10 days of a 30 day trip. I did 20 pretty intense walking sight seeing days before Amsterdam so it was nice to chill there to end the trip. Edit: the women in Amsterdam all seemed 5'7" or taller and since they bike or walk everywhere they are in great shape. Long legs, beautiful.

In the future you will be categorized by how you pass the smell test, similar to the Gattica blood testing. Ultimately so insurance companies can better rate you for health insurance and also the all important driving insurance rate differential.
  17. shitty thread, would not read again.
  18. She used to get me up as well.
  19. Ryan, was a huge disappointment from the time he took the SotH job. Not sure if he cut a single thing at any point in his tenure, a rubber stamp. This is not new news of course.
  20. Flipping the uphill side up is not: "wrap the tarp up the sides of the tent". Just to be clear. But, do what you want. It has worked for us. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Ozark-Trail-Heavy-Duty-Tarp-Silver-Brown/35736815?athcpid=35736815&athpgid=athenaItemPage&athcgid=null&athznid=PWVUB&athieid=v0&athstid=CS020&athguid=743bbfa5-b07-168e07636f6f5e&athena=true If you do it right any water can be diverted to the sides with the, rare but, big danger water coming from uphill sources going under or pooling under the tarp and not in your tent.(at which point you can manipulate the water towards the side or under) Most people don't get caught in big storms these days since they have much better weather sources. Sweeping the tarp is easier and protects your tent. Also, the front porch on the downhill side, where the front door is, is great for keeping/creating a transition area. that is the main reason we use the tarp under and for the tent protection. We bring a doormat or old carpet piece to use as a mat while taking our shoes off before entering the tent if possible or sitting in the tent with feet on porch while you take them off and get dirt/water off as much as possible. Academy has the 1" foam mat deep olive color for under the sleeping bag. buy it early and let if off gas though. very comfy although checking for big rocks, roots, etc is good before setting up your site.
  21. tried to edit but hit new post
  22. trust me, the turd floater rains(big fast rains that cause little soak and lots of runoff) you want the up hill side with a bit of extra tarp flapped up all the way around. Also, it is intuitive to me now but the front porch part should be on the downhill side as well. You want a flat spot to pitch your tent but still you want to take a look from a ways back from that spot you pick to see if there is any place rain water, from aforementioned turd floater, might come a calling in the middle of the night. Then situate your tent, and tarp, accordingly. We also try to keep our heads on the uphill side if possible. In the summer, another tarp with a bunch of bungee cords, to nearby trees, can be used as a sun break in the morning or afternoon, we generally pick the afternoon to shield. This can get a bit weird if the wind picks up but if it is a still hot day the shade is awesome. Of course if you are your own pack mules bringing in all the extra gear on foot with you and your spouse you can't have all the extra gear or at least pick wisely. We used to go with the in-laws about once a quarter. Finally we bought a used pop-up once it was going to be a July camp-out in Texas.(the AC is nice!) Typically we buy a Texas State park pass as well even if we don't always get our fill of it due to family busy-ness, etc. Good times.
