  1. Best I can tell, since McTaggart's mic doesn't work past 3 inches, Dusty would rather pitch to this guy: than this guy: because the bases would be loaded after the Judge walk (didn't want to walk in the winner.)
  2. I'm more of a Dusty defender than basher, but honestly he is a good, not great mgr. As a skipper he'll never win a ring, but hopefully the Astros players can carry him to one.
  3. No they were not, you sad sack liar
  4. Like a good neighbor, Gleyber is there
  5. Damn, I'm in a bind, my feed's way behind
  6. Looks like y'all started your All Star break in June, though.
  7. All they do is combine no-hit the Yankees.
  8. It's the corrupt slimeball Manfred. At some point the consistency of these stats is no longer chance but intentional. All year we've been the most screwed by the umps on their metrics. Meanwhile the Yankees are 2nd in call favoritism. https://umpscorecards.com/teams/ Last column, percent favored. But it is brutal for us in the other categories, too.
  9. *'y'all I did. I made a thread there last week. Well, technically I didn't post anything political in this thread here. Someone nagged me with the laughably false accusation that when I buy bottled water and properly dispose of it in a trash can it ends up polluting the oceans. So I responded by noting that posters from a certain forum have a history of frequently being pious, scolding nags. "It's funny because it's true." Also funny that when I saw Tom's post and all the likes I bet that every person liking it would be frequent posters in the CR. Sure enough.... I did! Thanks for the well wishes.
  10. Seems like maybe Gerrit BorisInc knows that Jose is going to swing at the first pitch.
  11. I don't think teachers are going to hang upside down from the jungle gym. Then again, they're the Forney Gators, so....
  12. Do it. Every time I've raised the Mexican flag I got a lot of sopapillas.
  13. Guess I'll have to be all in on Ole Miss. OU winning would be turrible. If they get a 3rd natty they'd be the 10th team to do so and tied for 8th in most CWS titles. So those barefoot inbred methheads could start yapping about having become a blue blood. I've never even considered that they would ever come close to being a blue blood, but I guess by the numbers a 3rd title would give them a sliver of an argument. Screw that. Go Ole Miss for the next 2 or 3 days.
  14. Is it normal for a player on the injured list to travel with the team? The Chron says LMJ is not yet close to a minor league rehab start. I could see the benefits of keeping his head in the game, just don't know if that is typical.
  15. LOL. We aren't sailors working on the high seas, have never Messed With Texas, and I'm pretty sure the US banned sea dumping decades ago. (If you actually knew me IRL, you'd probably know that I absolutely loathe litterers.) The bottles always goes in the trash, which end up in landfills or maybe incinerators. Always taught to take the lid off and crumple them before tossing, if that makes you perpetual pissy naggy nanny scolds feel any better. It won't, of course. CR really is a cult these days, always bitching about something. Hall monitor and virtue signaling are what y'all missionaries of misery thrive on. Worse than the cult of aggy, at least they don't go around telling everyone else how to live. So I might just respond by going to the store tomorrow and place every single item in a separate, new plastic bag! Then toss all those empty bags into the trash bin without reusing or recycling! Control freaks will sense it like needles in a voodoo doll... OBTW, Odessans were able to drink their tap water again on Saturday. Odd that no one mentioned this... https://www.kwtx.com/2022/06/20/texas-city-residents-allowed-drink-tap-water-again/ Residents of the West Texas city of Odessa may again safely drink tap water without having to first boil it, the city announced Saturday. The decision to lift the boil water order came after water samples sent for testing Friday were determined to be safe by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, the city said... ...The city said taps in 165,000 homes and businesses lost pressure or went completely dry after a 24-inch (61-centimeter) main broke Monday afternoon. The water treatment plant was back online in the city about 330 miles (530 kilometers) west of Dallas by about 8 a.m. Wednesday. But workers conducted a “recharging” process, slowly adding water volume to the system to ensure there are no more leaks....
  16. Well, at least 5 of the remaining 6 have never won the title. OU has 2, so I think I'll even pull for aTm over them. Give me 1 of the other 4 winning it all and I can make peace with that.
  17. You could also think of it as 5 of the 8 are The Almost Deloss Pac Seventeen schools....
