  1. The union needs to bring in the Ghost of Minute Maid to end this standoff.
  2. idrpmd ·5 hr. ago How will he get rid of the grenades when the negotiation is over though? EuronXena ·5 hr. ago He could swallow it. Source: cartoons
  3. More like Dr. Strangeclimax, amirite? Anyway, the following explanation may or may not be true. Also other reports that it was from yesterday:
  4. Last I read, that flight from Russia was evacuation of diplomats. Meanwhile, in Kharkiv:
  5. Now that even freedom's freeriders like Switzerland, Sweden, and FIFA are on board, it's time for cartographers to step up. Kick Russia out of Europe by moving the Asia/Europe line. Not sure what to name Russia west of the Urals. Asia Minor North? Asia Minor Plus? Asia Minor Diddler? (Kalingrad = Asia Asterisk)
  6. LOL, pajamas, Groucho glasses, and Russian nesting dolls on the mantle. Not the best interview prep.
  7. I'm certain we are giving them as much PR and psyops help as they want. Would also guess that their defensive success is just as much a testament to our intel we're probably live feeding them as it is of their impressive bravery.
  8. So what's a realistic off ramp for Putin? Thankfully we've got our psyops turned up to 11 and appear to be doing a good job, aimed at the generals and the Russian public. Keeping Facebook open to Russia is probably a good idea, even though it is censored. Lots of diaspora Russians getting real info around the world and calling/texting relatives back home. The more this can be strung out the more at least significant portions of truth can take root there. Unfortunately I don't think it will work to the extent of Putin being deposed. But is it possible to negotiate that would give him enough of a face saving win for his ego? Ukraine formally ceding Crimea and Donbas? That's 1 of his 2 stated goals, but I doubt that's enough. Maybe agreeing also to the probably soon captured land bridge between the two. Insist on a UN supervised allowed relocation of ethic Ukranians that want out of territory transferring to Russia. It would be terrible for many and I hate giving the thug any type of win, but they have nukes. Lots of them. We had to make similar awful compromises to end WW2 and end or scale back other conflicts.
  9. Interesting, Google Maps Traffic has been disabled for Ukraine, sometime within the last hour.
  10. Guess it's time for this PSA: https://www.ready.gov/nuclear-explosion Too Darwin, Didn't Read: Get inside, away from windows, wear a mask, avoid fallout
  11. I see that Cloak Room forces once again invaded DT last night, as always under the false premise of 'De-Nazification of The DT.' It is time to unite, stand up to, and isolate CR. Hit them with sanctions, shut down their propaganda machine and BS pipeline 2, restrict their travel to the other boards, and SWIFTly cut them off from the rep system.
  12. Seems like every Ukrainian dude has a voice deeper than even Suzy Kolber's. Some slightly unscientific observations from Twitter and Google Maps Traffic: I found it interesting that through yesterday there had been many reports of Russian forces setting up checkpoints in various areas of Ukraine but still letting civilians through. I would guess that would in part be because Putin would like to burden European resources with a large migrant problem, improve the Russian/Ukrainian population balance for his post-war governance, and optics (in the early stages when he thought a quick decapitation and then win was possible. "We kept your power on and didn't target you, just the leaders.") Curious if that checkpoint strategy has changed. Watching GMaps Traffic during all this, the flows near the hotspots peter out overnight, but have often resumed in the morning. You could clearly see the many miles backup for all the Polish crossings, but even today such lines were much, much shorter for the border crossings of Slavakia, Hungary, and western Romania. However those are longer drives with many routes over mountains and several slow segments (Ukrainian internal checkpoints) that could be a riskier trip if you weren't carrying fuel cannisters. One of the TV crews took 14 hours yesterday to move from the back of the line for a Polish crossing southward down to Chop, where they said there were minimal backups. However today there was a lot more red and orange along the interior roads to these southwestern borders. At times today the backups at the Polish crossings stretched all the way to Lviv, with reports that some have been in those lines for 4 days now. But at least that's close enough to walk the rest of the way if you run out of gas. Very curious about how the last 3 days one significant route near the Polish border hasn't shown any use, the T1404 road from Ostriv to Rava-Rus'ka. I'm guessing Ukraine has shut access to it. Maybe because it runs many miles right next to the border that appears to be easy to cross on foot in winter: no river, relatively flat, and best I can tell no fence yet, just a border path. (Poland is a month into a 5-month fence project for the Belarus boundary after Putin tried to provoke a migrant crisis there recently, but last I read was only considering a Ukraine fence.) Closed to prevent males 18-60 from escaping? Or possible for military resupply entry, to avoid potentially endangering masses of evacuees if using the existing border crossing routes should Russia attempt strikes? The primary evac route out of Kiev was due west on the E40, but last night a short segment was shown as closed. Tonight that has expanded for 40 miles further west. Such displayed closures have often coincided with nearby fighting, though it doesn't seem to be indicative of Russian control. Today there was only 2 routes out of Kiev showing use, to the southwest and to the south (though only to about 25 miles south of Kiev.)
  13. Not quiet. Russian forces have broken through into Kharkiv city.
  14. LOL, Wesley Clark almost started World War 3 at Pristina in 1999, and thus a general refused to implement his order. Of course Clark wouldn't be afraid to now trigger World War Applebees.
  15. Recorded message just started playing over and over on loudspeakers on a Kyiv livestream, along with sirens. Haven't heard that before:
  16. I've seen several interviews this morning with Ukrainian parliament leaders where they have stated that they are in their homes. May not be the most difficult govt decapitation... we're only 31 hours in so far. Cringy to keep hearing TV anchors telling these leaders that are on death lists at the end of the interviews to "Stay safe."
  17. Ha, yeah while the mini-giraffe is king, I had never before noticed the actual dogs playing actual poker. An all-time top 10 commercial. It's genius.
  18. If I ever create a sock, Jon Bidet Ramsey is a top contender.
  19. 'Speak Softly But Carry a Big Walker' is in effect.
