  1. After Andor, the member berries stuff in R1 feels forced. There was no reason for Cass and Jyn to run into the Tattooine criminals in Jedha, or for the random 3PO / R2 scene. Mon, Organa, Leia and Vader all served the plot so they felt like they fit. K2SO is great though. I know it won’t happen but I’d like to see what those two got up to in the year between Andor S2E11-12.
  2. Rewatching R1 in pieces: why did Andor have a hard time getting a meeting with Saw? Was it just Saw’s growing fanaticism / paranoia / psychopathy or something more specific?
  3. Fuck yo 15U baseball tourney
  4. Happy for Matt Turner too
  5. Bridget has not held up well. Yikes.
  6. Congrats to Rebecca Lowe!
  7. I know it’s popular with some of yall to shit on lightsabers and the Force etc, but don’t forget the dozens and dozens of episodes of Rebels and Clone Wars. It *can* be done well.
  8. Oh yeah forgot to ask: were the Waif and Qyburn the only two GoT alums? What an incredible pair of shows to be in.
  9. Finally watched last night. Not much else to add that hasn’t been said, except that I really liked the juxtaposition of the Andor rebellion of dirty killers (terrorists?) against the plucky Skywalker rebellion. If you haven’t watched the final Declassified episode found in the Extras section (and linked up thread) you need to. It’s emotional.
  10. I’m going to the Braves game tonight. I might have to take tomorrow morning off.
  11. I’ve never heard Drinker gush like this about anything, ever:
  12. About that blaster
  13. Everything Everywhere All At Once for the second time on a flight. Just as epic and fun and emotional and crazy as the first time. What a great flick.
  14. Just finished ep 9 and… that was just exceptional. I can’t remember the last time any tv gave me goosebumps, much less Star Wars. And no lie, while I was watching the K2 power up scene we had a small earthquake here in north Georgia. Epic! I was terrified when it became clear that Bix wasn’t going to let herself be the reason that Andor left the rebellion. With all of her trauma I was afraid she was going to take her own life. During her message all I could see in my head was Cassian’s last moment on the beach. That is some Shakespeare level tragedy. The female characters on this show are some of the best ever put on a screen. It has been a master class on strong women. And Kleya with her hair down…rawr.
  15. In flight movie reviews: Companion. Like a 2 hour Black Mirror episode. Good fun. Supporting cast includes Gizmo from WWDITS. IYKYK. Presence. Soderbergh ghost story told from the POV of the ghost. Not spectacular but I enjoyed the vibe and the artsy approach to it.
  16. One of my favorites. It can be hard to find a good high res version of it.
  17. I’ve watched it twice myself. Wish we didn’t have to wait until 2026 for season two.
  18. It’s also another 100 lb ft of torque. It’s offered by Ford and doesn’t affect the warranty.
  19. If you were asking about the Ranger Raptor: I paid $55K for it which is about $1K below MSRP. The stock motor is 405hp but I’m going to get the tune that takes it to 455 at some point. It’s got plenty of push from the twin turbo V6 but why not have more if it’s available?
  20. You aaaaaalmost made it through a good post without being an ass.
  21. My disappointment in Disney is relevant to the topic at hand. If Disney hadn’t destroyed Star Wars then Andor might be performing better and we would have a better chance at more good prestige SW content. I don’t know why mdmost thinks that Disney doesn’t care about making money, they absolutely do, and a $300M loss is not going to be something they will be eager to do again. Andor is great. Fuck you Disney for insuring we’ll never get anything else like it.
  22. The baby Raptor is right up at the top of favorite cars I’ve owned list. I’m really digging it. It’s like a 4x4 muscle car but not as crazy expensive as the big Raptor and fits on more trails. Had some more fun last weekend.
  23. My golf cart shop said leave it plugged in all the time. And I’m pretty sure lithium ion batteries don’t have a problem staying plugged in (nicad was another story). But I’ve heard both sides so often I don’t know what’s true. My golf cart shop said leave it plugged in all the time.
