  1. I’ve watched about 10 of his videos. He knows his shit. If you look at the laser checkering on the both the stock and the handguard it’s rounded versus sharp (inverted triangle) on the previous Gen. Again, have no idea if there’s really any other technological advancements from their higher end lines that made it into this release. Just something I noticed about the available inventory of the Etchen guns
  2. I’d be lying if I told you I remember her name, but it was a female who sounded like she knew what she was talking about. Checked out those Etchen 687 referenced above. Sound very intriguing given the better wood and second barrel but from the inventory I saw, it looks like all they have available is the previous Gen Silver Pigeon 3 and not current. Can tell by the laser engraving of the wood. Don’t know if it really matters or not, tbh
  3. She didn’t give me an exact number. I’m not necessarily in any rush to buy, so just left my info with her. She said it could be 1-2 months for what it’s worth.
  4. Appreciate the responses. Dad had a 20ga SA that we used to shoot skeet with when I was younger (don’t recall the manufacturer as I was a teenager then and didn’t really care). setting my eyes on the Beretta 687 Silver Pigeon III in 20 ga. What’s with the different barrel lengths from 28-32”? Figured a 28” was standard size for a regular sized dude. Put my name on the wait list at Briley’s. Can’t wait. Went looking for ammo at Academy today. Jack shit
  5. For the time being, I think I’m flush on rifles and handguns. Looking at getting some (maybe 1-3 for me and the boys) 12ga O/U. Will be mostly used for shooting skeet with the possibility of future dove/quail/pheasant hunting. Really don’t know much about different wood grains/quality but would like for this to be an heirloom piece so nice wood and a receiver with some nice scroll work would be nice. But, I’ll end up engraving something on it too when I give it to the boys. Price range is 2-4k. Was intrigued by the Benelli 828U. Any pros/cons? Any alternatives you guys would recommend?
  6. Q trash panda. Have one on my Honey Badger. It’s great.
  7. Was parked like this for at least 4 hours in between dog walks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Got a couple of prime 1lb rib eyes for me and the boy and some filets for the womens and 6 year old. Directly grilled over charcoal Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. These old timey ones fucking suck. Stop posting them
  10. Did u mean J-Bar-M BBQ? Searched and couldn’t find any place called L bar M. I’m assuming from the uniqueness of the name yours was a typo
  11. Forgive my ignorance if you mean anything other than a tax stamp to SBR it, which I don’t plan on doing. I’ve gone back on forth regarding going full out tactical with KAC RAS hand guard, weapon light, red dot vs keeping it classic with just iron sight and stock handguard. strongly considering getting a binary trigger on it though, but that’s about 1k from HK Parts with the full plug and play model that has all the necessary components.
  12. Happy Thanksgiving, Happy Hanukkah, and Merry Christmas to me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Need good rec for New Year’s Day AYCE brunch. Nicer the place the better. Prefer that to a la carte
  14. Had some time to kill today. Went to audi central to get an in person look at the etron GT which is beautiful. RS model. Sticker 149k. Market adjusted price of 169k. Fuck audi central
  15. They have a ton of Barnes supersonic but haven’t seen subs in months
  16. Done.
  17. How much? Trying to stockpile Hornady anyway. Lean pickings at Academy lately
  18. 2 lb prime cowboy ribeye from CM and some prime filets from Costco. Reverse seat on the rib-eye. Direct heat on the filets Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Thx for the recs! Most of the scopes I’ve seen are FFP. For this distance is that preferred over SFP?
  20. I will argue about the weather here with anyone. Yes, it is unbearably hot/humid and downright unpleasant for close to 5 months out of the year. But for 7 months out of the year, save two weeks when it gets “cold” the weather here is fucking glorious. I’d make that trade all day
  21. Houston is a much more cosmopolitan and diverse city than anywhere in TX.
  22. Pretty sure where Tesla falls flat is in it’s service department, which I hear from colleagues who are tesla owners, is an abhorrent experience all around. That’s where, I think, the legacy brands will far outpace Tesla in the long run. And, as an aside, the new S class interior is tits
  23. If I’m being honest, probably no more than 500 yards. Have no real issue in manually turning turrets. Lightweight would be great
  24. Picked up a “The Fix” by Q yesterday. Wanted a bolt action 6.5 CM that was lightweight. After lugging around my HK 556 I’ve been leaning more and more towards lightweight rifles/SBR’s. Still haven’t pulled the trigger on a scope yet. Have a Vortex Viper PST Gen II that’s 1-6 but looking for something in the 4-16X range. What do y’all recommend? Not averse to dropping nearly 2k on a Razor but if anyone has any good recs, I’d appreciate it. And, my LPVO I referenced above is SFP. Would it be better to get a FFP for the 6.5 CM scope?
