  1. I know.. I'm a PM for a large sitework/development company. Mondays are big around here, from a scheduling / "who broke what over the weekend?" standpoint. If I had any way out of it, I would. It's not so bad though - I'm in the home stretch, here on the east coast.
  2. Haha - she'd kill me.. but she's a 5' nothing blonde hair, blue-eyed little Texan. Gorgeous, funny, smart and all around, a great travel partner. She represents your state very well. We had a blast - I'm a lucky guy. And @jdhorn92 - as a big baseball fan (although I'm a Braves fan, so a National leaguer kind of guy), that's incredible. Very cool stuff! Currently sitting in my office in a haze - it's hard to stay motivated at work on a Monday after a weekend like that.
  3. Sounds like you guys had a good time. Took my GF (huge UT girl) for both of our first trips to Nashville. Our seats were 10th row of Section R; we were behind the bench on the (left) 40. That's a tight stadium and seating - it was packed, but we'd been warned ahead of time, so made it okay. Got some pregame drinks at The Local and then walked across the street to the game. The beer/bathroom situation is a bitch with all the lines, but it was alright. Where did you see Clemens? That'd have been awesome. A quiet walk from the stadium afterward didn't really feel like a win, but luckily we escaped that place with the W. After the game, we walked down to Broadway - set up in AJ's and their bar bands were alright and playing some older country, but being hit up by the bands for tips gets old. By the time we left there, we stopped at the food trucks outside of Barstool - what a shitshow that was.. Amazing food we had at Harper's Steakhouse Friday night and then yesterday brunch at a place called Mockingbird, I'd highly recommend either for anyone headed to Nashville. The main reason I responded - talking about living in Nashville. I'm in my mid-40's, took my gf for her birthday trip. We were in BNA waiting on our flight yesterday evening, both of us were exhausted, spun out feeling and all around trying to wrap our heads around the weekend. I asked my gf, "so, what'd you think?" She responded that it was crazy, but fun. And then immediately said with a smile, "I'd definitely come back!". She'd said on Saturday, that was the first time she'd felt "at home" since moving from SA almost 20 years ago. That place is crazy, but it's a good time. It's very much like a mix of Austin and NoLa - but cleaner and safer than both. In a different world, I could see me living there as well. Looks like there's always stuff to do and overall, a really nice city. Likewise, I'll definitely go back if/when UT plays at Vandy again.
  4. That sounds like GT under Paul Johnson. Those teams were the worst - very simple, yet also confusing - and the clock would just continue to tick down. Hopefully at least Vandy keeps their OL on their feet and not diving at the knees of your defense, like GT used to do. Back when we (Clemson) used to play those teams, if we got out of there without any ACL injuries, that was about as much as we could hope for.
  5. New guy here - I'm a Clemson fan, but my gf is a Texan and me (having always been a casual Longhorn fan since I was a kid) have taken a bigger interest in you guys the past few years. Actually attending my first UT game in Nashville this weekend. As I told my (very saddened) gf as the minutes ticked down on Saturday night, in the grand scheme of things, that loss won't be looked at as a big deal, and may be a good thing. In 2016, we (Clemson) were undefeated, but things just seemed off - we weren't really taking full advantage and it felt like we were sleep-walking through some of the games. At the Pitt game, at home, and with me in the stands, we lost to a crappy Pitt team. We were stunned. But - it woke us up, made us realize that we could lose these things and we had a target on our back every single week. We ended up winning out, destroying OSU in the playoffs and then knocking off Alabama in the Natty. In hindsight, that loss was probably the best thing that happened to us that season - it showed us our vulnerabilities and woke our guys up. And I think you guys can take advantage of the same and turn it into a positive. Also, win out and you'll be playing UGA again in the SECCG. As you all know, it's really tough to beat the same team twice and that being said, you'd prefer to lose to them now and win in December, versus the opposite. I think if a few things get corrected, you can run the table. Good luck guys - I'm pulling for yall!
  6. Clemson fan here - as at least one other poster said, this is reminiscent of us with the whole KB/Trevor thing. Back then, people suggested that Dabo had made a pre-season pact with KB that he'd be the starter. Same thing with DJU (but that's a whole other deal). I have no doubt that is a thing with some coaches/QBs, esp when there is someone waiting in the wings. And from an outsider, I wonder if Sark made a similar promise to QE..
