  1. I think this is something that every team should have moving forward. The play is pretty much unstoppable whether you decide to use a QB, backup QB, or even a TE body to run it. Just practice it and have the package ready to go. It fumbled because we had Conner at center and he botched the snap. Also that was a traditional QB sneak, not the tush push.
  2. I could see him having some paid sponsorship video put out that he's going pro, similar to how he did when he announced he's returning to Texas last year.
  3. This seems relevant given some of the recent rumors:
  4. This sounds like battered Cowboy fan syndrome. You wouldn't take a shot at going all in to win 1 title at the hope of going on a Bama type run? I believe that for the 2026 portal class that we should go all in on that class to try and get a title with Arch as short term mixed with our long term HS recruiting propels us forward.
  5. This seems kind of relevant to the discussion that has been going on here: Elite QB play carries a team in playoff situations.
  6. He seems like a safer gamble than some of the guys we have taken in the portal.
  7. So he's not good enough for Texas but Ohio State?
  8. There were some pretty good running backs in the portal we could have went after and those include: Makhi Hughes(Tulane > Oregon) Justice Haynes(Alabama > Michigan) CJ Donaldson(WVU > Ohio St) Ahmad Hardy(ULM > Missouri)
  9. Did Ohio State screw up their running back room when they lured Judkins to the portal and signed him? After all they had Henderson on the roster who was a 5 star. What happens if Baxter has a set back in his recovery or reinjures himself? That would put us back in the same exact spot as we were this year.
  10. He is coming off ACL/LCL surgery and had slight damage to his PCL that did no require surgery so who knows how up to speed he will be by fall camp or game 1. It is not a smart decision to rely on a running back room that consist of the following: Tre Wisner CJ Baxter - Injury mentioned above Jerrick Gibson Christian Clark - Achilles tear surgery. Also not smart to bank on him being completely ready to go by seasons star. Rickey Stewart - True Freshmen James Simon - True Freshmen Our spring roster is essentially 4 backs, two of which are early enrollees.
  11. Red Zone Touchdowns By Game: CSU - 7 Michigan - 3 UTSA - 3 ULM - 6 Miss St - 2 OU - 2 UGA - 2 Vandy - 1 Florida - 2 Arkansas - 2 Kentucky - 4 A&M - 2 UGA - 0 Clemson - 3 Arizona St - 1 Ohio St - 1 Totals: Non Conference - 19 Conference - 17 Postseason - 5 46% of our red zone touchdowns came from 4 non conference games.
  12. Do first half of the season red zone percentages vs back half, it is not pretty. When competition improved vs the best teams we played we were absolutely terrible in the red zone. We regressed as the season went along and ultimately finished two years in a row with red zone failures with a national title trip on the line.
  13. It should also be noted about multiple teams saying we had been tipping plays. I do believe he needs to seek out what kind of offense he wants his team to run and go find the best OC to do said offense or find a guy he is comfortable with calling his offense, is that Milwee? In the time of infinite staff there is no excuses for offense or special teams being what they are.
  14. We heard all offseason last year how the emphasis going into this season by Sark and the offense was going to be red zone offense but somehow we ended up being worse. When the defensive side of the ball says their emphasis on the years they have greatly improved at it. Something is wrong offensively whether it’s personnel or coaching, I’m leaning the latter because results were bad two different years with different personnel.
  15. Blue has recorded catapult times over 22 mph. That leads me to believe he will run somewhere along the 4.38-4.43 range.
  16. I’m certain if you look at a list of all 32 starting QBs most of them are mobile enough to extend plays, get out of the pocket, or run as well. I don’t believe there are any Brees, Manning, or Brady pure pocket guys outside of rare exception like Flacco who is essentially a backup. Goff, Stafford, Darnold, and the now benched Kirk Cousins are all mobile enough. In my opinion if you can’t do it in college the odds of being able to do it in the league and suddenly flip a switch are slim to none.
  17. In my opinion his biggest staff need is a dedicated special teams coach. The special teams this year is not acceptable if you want to win a title.
  18. The Oklahoma loss is historic as it was one of if not the largest blown lead in the Red River Shootout.
  19. He struggled to essentially 1 game and a quarter this season.
  20. Ewers said post game he thought he could get the ball off. Him saying that says he processed it quickly enough time to make the throw instead of just taking the sack, even though it was 4th down. I believe that a sack with 2 timeouts and the 2 minute timeout is superior than a scoop and score.
  21. He’s been open plenty but the quarterback has to get him the ball. If he he behind the deepest defender and ball is under thrown then how is that on Wingo?
  22. That play is just another play now, it had the potential to be legacy defining but for now Quinn’s legacy is coming up short in the red zone in back to back years with chance to punch your ticket to the national title.
  23. One potential thing that could happen is your QB avoids the outside rusher similar to how Bryce Young did to us 2 years ago to extend the play. Then everyone would flow right and it’s just hitting a crosser. But that may be too much to ask for
  24. There would be about 2:20 left on clock with 2 minute timeout as well as 2 team timeouts
  25. Can you go further back to see who it may have been prior to Jimbo?
