  1. He will need to identify a candidate that has a system similar to his or identify a system that he likes as a HC. The candidates would depend on which route he chooses to go I believe.
  2. I think Sarkisian has done a really good job making hires. Jackson and Baker were outstanding additions. Poaching Nansen after Choate left to become a HC was really good! He needs to fire his play caller and hire one. That is currently the weakest position on this staff.
  3. The Mount Rushmore of Texas QBs has to be Vince Young, James Street, Bobby Layne, and Colt McCoy, right? The gap from those guys to the next tier of quarterbacks is pretty wide and far I would think. That tier would include Sam Ehlinger, Quinn Ewers, Major Applewhite, Chris Simms, and James Brown?
  4. Lol then because that is 100% worse. Sarkisian is getting roasted over that call by every analyst and expert for that exact call. But somehow you choose to defend it. Just insanely laughable.
  5. So your argument is run a shotgun toss sweep with the ball being received on the 9 yard line vs said same defense? Having to go 1 yard > having to go 9 yards
  6. His justification for why he called that play is worse than the play call itself in my opinion.
  7. I’d be okay with that more than I would the second down play call to do a toss sweep from the gun. Perhaps if we ran the sweep from under center it doesn’t look as bad but the pitch was received at around the 9 yard line. Even with Quinn I still don’t understand not calling at least 1 sneak, it would be the least expected play.
  8. I’m fairly certain Ohio State signed him out of the portal, the WVU running back.
  9. If my research is correct the last head coach who was the primary play caller for their team that won a national title was Jimbo Fisher. I’m not sure there has been another coach this century to win a title as the teams primary play caller.
