Barring significant injury at one of our thinner spots, we look pretty well manned for this game. Tackling, CB2 play, blocking by TE, youth confusion on D, and of course unlucky bounces appear to be the biggest potential issues. To a lesser extent, Sam’s ability to place the ball on longer routes, especially in the middle. On their side, bringing Charles back helps shore up the OL, but that remains an issue. If we can make them even somewhat one dimensional, we can stall some drives out. Having both defenses see success still leaves a huge swing in reasonably possible outcomes. If we tend to bend but not break, they could crawl out ahead with FGs and occasional touchdowns while we stall at midfield. If they can’t convert third and short without the short passing game, we might jump some routes and break it open. With over 100 plays, the game will IMO have spells where things seem to go each way. In the end, I like Texas with the intangibles.
